This channel have become my favourite tbh. Best, sensible content. Experience speaks.

The most realistic, practical, real life reviews 💯
🙏
On the ride dynamics, I did a round trip from BLR to Ooty to BLR via mudumali. I travelled with a pillion and luggage. No where I felt the front was light even in steep inclines. Coming from Japanese two wheeler, the refinement throws me off. But the engine didn't give up. Low end torque was never a problem. Squeeze the clutch an mm or 2 it gets the job done. Take away, if you often ride with a pillion and luggage, your looking for well mannered adventure tourer. Go and get the Himalayan.
👍
Your comradeship makes me jealous. Keep at it and I love the intro music. It is different than everything else, just like the two of you.
Many thanks.
A genuine no nonsense reviewer who gives honest and unbiased opinion unlike other paid reveiwers
🙏
Thanks a lot for making this content. As a Himalayan owner, this video is super informative and helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic review. I have done 1700Km so far happy I would rate it 9/10, able to achieve 39.5 km/ltr speed between 80-90 on highway, above 100 it gives me 32-35.😂refinement levels is getting better over the time, it is rock solid like a Apache helicopter where I had a chance to ride😂😂
🙌
My last trip of 420km on my himalayan 450, tripper was showing 33.1kmpl but by measuring mileage using tank full to tank full it was 30.57 kmpl, so we can't believe on tripper mileage
@shubham_singh30 my understanding is rhat thw tripper is live milage that's takes about the last 50 kms onto calculations. Tank full considers the usage of rhe last say 15 liters.
First time I see this channel, I loved the relaxed discussion between you two to describe the bikes!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi sir
Just regarding resetting the trip meter
go to the respective trip counter hold the joystick to the left for a few seconds it will reset
Done 3.5k on it till now 😊
👍👍👍
I brought this bike and it’s 1st service is due this weekend
The thing I liked is the way I can handle the bike despite it being a nearly 200kg machine and that’s not what most Royal Enfield bikes can do.
My bike has some rear brake issues and some sound in the rear wheel. Apart from that the bike a beast.
Thanks for the positive straight approach review it gives us confidence.
Love the bike the bike loves u back.
🙌
I guess that’s thanks to the ride by wire. I experienced the same thing here as well.
Both scrambler 400x and the Himalayan are amazing motorcycles. The scrambler suited my taste, hence I got it. But the Himalayan is incredibly powerful and battle tested too. Noraly rode entire ladakh on it, which was a pre production motorcyle. So it's good. There are minor issues, but which motorcycle doesn't. I love the scrambler just like Bosky anna does.
🙌
A friend of mine who wanted advice on buying a bike after 20 years of riding a 4 wheeler. I asked him to watch this channel. Great wisdom from elderly gentlemen.
🙏
Lovely video as usual! I'm sure there are some really funny bloopers, please put that also in sirs! Waiting to swing my leg over this bike!!
😀🙏
Great review, very straightforward, no sugar coating 👍
Glad you liked it!
This video made me love my Himi 450 even more!
🙏
I love your videos. They always put me in a good mood 😀
I'm so glad! Thanks.
Great review, thanks guys.
Thanks for watching!
Another great video guys, Excited to get mine in a week or so. Smash few km on it. Enjoy the content, keep up great work.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you gentlemen for taking time and sharing your ownership experience, honest and right to the point 👌
Thanks for watching!
Hi Guys, I thoroughly enjoyed this video of 2 friends sharing their experiences of a new bike. I am currently a HIMMIE 411 owner looking and impatiently waiting for the arrival in France (my home) of the new 452. It looks very much like the bike for me, with the history of Royal Enfield and the new owners shaking RE up, with new models coming thick and fast it's an easy brand to be loyal towards. I just hope these new 452's arrive quickly as I have money burning a hole in my pocket.
Subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think you'll like it more when you ride it. Best wishes.
Sensible sarcastic straightforward video all thanks to Bosky & CK
😊🙏
Really proud of you guys regarding the maturity level of your explanation about the machine as it is. 😊
Thanks so much!
when v2 comes out, bosky and ck must be the main heroes
👍
I really appreciate how you describe your daily’s lifes experience on that very interesting new RE motorcycle.
Greetings from german RE rider.
Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Very true about instrument cluster well said 👏
🙏
Hey Guys, great video. Totally subscribing. For those who get the right side pulling, try and check the rear wheel alignment. I had an enduro bike that had a similar issue. Turned out the rear axle was mounted out of alignment. Keep riding!
👍
Well done sir (s) .!! Thanks for the clean neat feedback..!! Can't wait to have one..!! 30-33 KMPL is impressive all are mourning about mileage ald u clock 30-33 which shows the max level of efficiency getting out from the machine. ❤🎉🔥
👍
Bosky sir installed Fuel x too
They (RE team)should definitely listen to you. Great insights.
🙏
19:14 To reset the trip meter, when you are on the trip (say trip2), just hold the joystick to the left for a few seconds and it resets the trip
👍👍👍
I did notice some noise while riding, after 1st service it’s all good now. I can finally ride it 4K+ RPM, after 3rd gear, 3.5K+ RPM it makes such a sweet sound ❤
👍
Hold the analog stick left in the respective Trip 1 or Trip 2 resets it. Tested on mine.
Yes, this works on my himalayan as well
Ah ha!!! Well noted!
Oh damn, I don't think this was in the manual
Interesting to hear what you have to say about the Himalayan 450.
At the end of April the bike is available here in Germany. I will defintely contact a dealer for a test ride.
Great! Let's know how it goes.
You guys are fun. I've done 30,000km on my 411 (mostly off road) and have ordered a new 452...but I am keeping the 411. It is part of me. Keep it up guys and keep laughing
Many thanks. Congrats!
Super review. Loved your discussions about vibrations, that people keep talking of. We say, those who wish to have no vibrations should consider buying a sewing machine
Thanks for sharing!! 😃
Last saturday i was going from pune to tumkur on Himalayan 450, but due to some medical emergency at home i have to come back from Hospet. I clocked 1050 km total on that day. Before this i did 750km max in a day on Xpulse and it was very tiring.
Believe me Him450 is such an easy bike to cover long distances and you will never get bored on this.
Cruising between 90-100kmph i got milage of 33kmpl
🙌
Hello Sir, no doubt it's a mean machine....I have upgraded my ride from classic 350.... It's superb riding my Himalayan 450... The only issue I am facing is right side pulling... I have raised my concern with the RE team and hope it gets resolved at the earliest....
Good choice. Yes, hope it gets resolved soon.
the real handbook of new himmy is this!
🙏
Good Video, Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Always look for your videos. They are casual and very informative. I am getting my new Himalayan 450 in 2 weeks. Could you please list the must have accessories and whether we can get it by RE or off the market?
Thanks.
Congrats.
Engine / crash guard. The rest are optional and personal choices.
The most amazing thing is how your friendship come thru via motorcycles, something the current generation will never experience or understand
🙏
Sir you can reset the trip meter in both the menu just by holding joystick towards the left. So suppose you wanna reset Trip 1/2 then just go that particular trip and hold joystick towards the left (doesn't matter if you are either on analog or digital display).
👍👍👍
Nice conversation ❤
🙏
Re-Setting trip is pretty easy.
Come to which ever trip you want to re- set 1 or 2 in any of the appearance (analogue or digital) and keep joy stick pressed left for couple of seconds.
👍
One of the best and informative reviews I have seen so far, I have a question though, during the the run-in period, did you experience brake pad noise when both tyres are rotating? I am still at 270 kms, unfortunately I have to be under 4000 rpm and 60 kmph, I am unable to ignore the noise and get on with it?
Thanks.
Clean the brake disc and pads and check.
@bigbearbangalore got it done at the service center but still noise is there, they mentioned it is common in interceptor and himalayan bikes, but not really sure about the reason...
@pramodk486 when parked and when rotating the wheel some noise will come. When riding there shouldn't be.
@bigbearbangalore exactly, I am hearing the noise when I am riding the bike as well, maybe I need to get it checked again.
Yes, please do. They need to be cleaned with a brake cleaner.
Hey Bosky sir, if you are using secondary phone for navigation purpose, you can use it as Android Auto as well, :)
advantage: you get Call msg WhatsApp notification on board, & if listening to music you can also control streaming media.
Actual Android auto costs 20k or more but secondary phone can serve almost the same purpose :D
Yes, got it. Thanks. 👍
Very nice review.. Any update from RE for tubeless wheels ?
Not yet.
Sir I would love to see you both to do a video on all the bikes you have ever owned. Would love to know more about your motorcycling journey
Noted. Will check on this possibility.
I travelled to my home town in Kerala from bangalore, solely used the google maps feature on the console. Kept the phone at minimum brightness and kept the phone charging in jackets pocket.
🙌 great and simple idea. Well done.
There is a chance for screen burn issues.
Are the low-end torque questions in comparison to the 411? Can you climb a dirt hill slowly like the 411 or do you have to rev and work the clutch more? Also, I'm guessing by the spokes that these are still tubed wheels - so are the new tires/tyres compatible with the 411 rims?
Crawling along at super low speeds like the 411 may not be on. But thats ok with me cost I may need to do that 0.5% of my ride so matters not cos the rwst of the 99.5% is far better than the 411.
These are tubeless type and not sure if it's compatible.
Sir, headlights are quite poor. Any recommendations on upgrading the main lamp? (Vaishnu) or get aux lights ? (Maddox alpha). Would appreciate your inputs. Thanks
Vaishnu is available foe the H450. Else you may use aux lights.
Bosky trip meter can be reset by just long pressing the joystick to left for few seconds when ur on that trip display… press left u see trip 1 press left for few seconds and its zero ❤
🫡
You can reset the trip by just pushing the joystick to the left for about 3 sec while you are in either in trip A or B
👍👍👍
I was in Kerala for two weeks from USA , I put 1800 kms in my Himalayan . I love the suspension, I had no problem with cornering with passenger at the back seat and full of luggage in my three hard boxes. Only one thing I hate is the original seat, touring seats were not available. I have taller windshield which waste of money ( wind blowing straight into my face, I am 5’11”) I went through more than 250 hairpin bends. Did not feel any body pain. I love this motor cycle. Low end torque is bit low but the character changes with little bit of throttle 😅 . Last thing is the headlight, I am glad that I have mad dog fog light . Please don’t depend on the headlight it’s not bright at all.
👍👍👍
Regarding Resetting the trip meter.. hold the joy stick to the left .. that's it !
👍
Sir I am a follower of you for just the last year but I always watch all your videos I like your sense of humour sir.
But I feel you are VERY DIPLOMATIC with all your views, as if you dont want to upset any manufacturer. Especially with RE.
Why would I live with a Bike like this that has so many limitations and issues?
You should suggest your audience alternative.
No bike is perfect, but the Enfields have childhood problems continued till end of life.
Thanks for being a follower. And yes I choose to be relatively neutral to all brands and models. Not just here but in life general. Nothing is perfect and no use abusing or dishing out hate to anything or anyone. A balanced and moderated view is better. Everyone is doing their best and we don't know what all constraints and struggles each has. On the outside it all seems ok but internally out of sight there may be many problems. So it's always better to be balanced in opinions and assessments and judgements! 😊🙏
The more i ride it. The more i am loving it. There are sol.s to small things that bother me. Like for buzz on handle bar I have installed new grips and waiting for bar end weights.
Might also buy the touring seat. What are your thoughts on stock radiator guard vs accessory ?
Good to hear.
Stock guard is good enough.
Hey bosky, we can reset the trip meter by scrolling to the particular trip meter and long pressing the joystick to left for few seconds. I unknowingly tried it but it worked. 🙂
👍👍👍
Sir my 2024 GT 650 is pulling right side after taking off my hand from the handle. It's not happening in higher speed but in lower speed It's slightly pulling in right side. What can i do ? It's new 2024 alloy wheel model only 20 days old.
Get it inspected.
Good to know!
Any intention to make a CFMoto 450MT vs Himalayan 450 in the future?
Very curious to have your opinion and feelings about these 2 new bikes!
CF not available in India.
Not now, of course, but in the future? Will it be imported to India or is it a big NO?
To reset the trip meters quickly, you need to hold the joystick to the left for few seconds....
Scroll to trip 1 or 2 and just hold the joystick to the left. It will reset.
Earlier, I too thought the i I to go inside the menu to reset it but one day when i was just randomly checking the joystick to get familiar with its "clicks", i found this way to reset it.
🙏👍
Have complained about the noise for my Himalayan 450 to service centre they are changing engine head now. Will post if the noise goes down.
Service convinced me first time i complained about noise that it is within limits.
Once i escalated again for the second time they are doing the part change now.
👍
Any update?? The only thing I am scared of.
@@ritwikswikriti0422 bulk of the noise is reduced but still there is some clatter. Maybe the noise is like 30% compared to before making the head replacement. Going on a ride today will update
Wanted to know if the RE original leg guard is enough for my safety or should I install additional crash slider as well.
Enough
Are you sure you're not paid by RE ? I eagerly await my delivery. My expectation continue to be justified, I am comforted in not switching to the MT450 even though it too looks like a unicorn also.
A perfect time to be ready to add a midsized travel dirt-bike to sit alongside my KLX400e (DRZ400). A great way to grow old gracefully. 😊
Thank you both, I enjoy your informative content as they call it. Good format. Cheers from Oz.
Am quite sure of whether am paid or not by RE. 😊
Glad you enjoyed the content. Thanks.
Very interesting review. I think this will be my next motorcycle , just waiting for a pay out on the written off Tiger 900 GT after being knocked off by a car driver who didn't look 😢. Only question is what about the seat? You said you will come to that later but unless I missed something you didn't mention it. Thinking of getting the slate & salt, I notice the grey material on the slate colour scheme. Are they still identical in comfort and are they not that comfortable then regardless of which one you choose? Thanks
Sorry to hear about the incident.
The specs are same across colours.
I've installed the touring seat ans it's helped quite a bit.
@@bigbearbangalore thanks for the reply. I'll have to search for the touring seat.
Nice video guys. Looks like you both have got fancy numbers. Did you pay extra for it? Does Karnataka have an auction for fancy number selection?
Thanks. Paid officially and got it. Not at an auction.
Hi hi! I don't see you guys installing the crash guard!? Does installing it cause a chassis break? The snap is because of the same reason speculated over the internet. Concerned a bit because I have Moto torque installed. Thanks in advance.
We've installed the RE OEM Rally Guards. They are sleek in design.
Can anyone help with the console settings of triumph scrambler 400x?
How do we off the rear ABS?
Once I Toggle to Off road mode, I cannot see other information such as ODO.
Traction control switches off and rear ABS.
What about the Other informations on the console.
Checking.....
What do you suggest? Would love to hear your input?
Should I upgrade my headlight or add an aux light?
Can you suggest the product for the headlight and aux light?
There's no upgrade. Aux lights only.
Its quite amusing to see so many people who think this is not a good peoduct and prefer a ktm. The 390 adv also has its own share of issues and refinement issues but surprisingly its a fashion to bash RE for refinement but not other motorcycles.
Tiny issues with RE are amplified like deal breakers but other manufacturers with similar issues are not even uttered. Just uninformed and hypocritical stance by many.
Theres no bike in the world right now wh8ch offers the features and value that the Him 450 offers in that segment. Definitely not the 390 adv. The CF Moto 450 comes close but it has dealer network issues (at least in india).
If theres one thing id crib, itd be the lack of the tubeless wheels and the lack of communication about them.
Thanks for sharing! 👍
In analog mode when you're trip 1 hold the joystick left few seconds. It'll reset.
👍👍👍
I have been following your videos as well as others who owns Himalayan 450 and Triumph 400x. I need to buy one but am too puzzled which one to settle for. I don’t have any complaints on triumph. Only one issue with Himalayan is tubed tyres. I am a senior citizen and do not wish to go for long rides but at the same time like to ride a smooth non tiring bike. I disposed off my Harley Superlow due to its weight and heating issues. Kindly suggest which one to settle for. 🙏🏻
Please find time to view the co pardon video posted a few weeks ago. Thanks.
Hi #Bigbearcustoms!! Can you share your views on the chassis breaking (as being shared on YT for aftermarket crash guards) if we should go for aftermarket accessories like crash guards from good brands like Zana or Moto Torque.
I've shared my thoughts on Instagram in a reel and will share more as I get to know more about it.
Hi,
I’m the owner of Himalayan 411 BS6. I too had the issue of right side pulling which you mentioned for H452. Informer service centre about this and they fixed it to some extent, but that led to another issue in the cone kit(may be). Now if I leave my hands from the handlebar, it still pulls to the right side, but not like before, but every pothole I ride on, I’m getting a thud noise from somewhere near the cone kit. Not able to get it resolved from RE service centre.
The t-stem noise is common in the 411.
Not really connected to the right side pulling issue.
Hello, While you are on trip meter. Hold the joystick towards left for few seconds, it will reset the Trip meter.
👍
U can reset the trip meter very easily. Just use the joystick and go to the trip which u want to reset, then hold the joystick to the left for 5 seconds. It will get reset.
🙏
Tshirt print idea for team BBB: Its not VIBRATION, its a BUZZ
😀🙏
Im owning an interceptor from 2 years and i clocked 30k on the odo.
Im planning for an exchange.
Im confused between the new Himalayan and shortgun.
Could you suggest your opinion??
Depends on what you enjoy more. The Twin or the great suspension of the H450.
Tap the joystick to the left once, you see trip 1, hold joystick to left for a few seconds and it rests. Same thing for trip 2.
🙏
Sir when u use the prospec wind shild riser then in which part of ur helmet the wind hits . Or goes completely over the helmet. And what is ur height . I m 6 feet .
It goes over. I am 5'9"
The stock seat is painful to sit for more than 1 hour. Planning to upgrade to the touring seats. Have you heard any feedback about the touring seats?
I haven't used the stock seat because from the beginning I'm using touring seats and touring seat is okay but I still feel it is not the very comfortable one. Better to try for custom seats, I'm sure you can get better custom seat under 8K than touring.
Wtf then Im better with xpulse it self. Why would I want to upgrade to the same problem.
Yes! Just installed it and it's super comfy.
Hey Bosky..Please make a short reel about PPF coating or ceramic coat for the Himalayan 450 and thank you this amazing video.
Have you done any?
Thanks.
Will do if the opportunity arises.
@@bigbearbangalore do you recommend doing any kind of coating to the bike?
I haven't yet done any. Will share my experience if and when I do.
Heating, imagine in Chennai that too in the month of April May June 😂😂😂😅😅😅. Agreed with less low end torque, my 411 can menovour in 3rd gear at 15kmph this one struggles. Regarding opening of throttle, I tested a vehicle for 90 kms the opening and boost to throttle is terrific. I pushed the vehicle in 4th gear and trust me it did comfortably 110. Regarding RPM around 5000-5500 rpm there is a strain but after 6000 it goes smooth. Behaviour of the vehicle in streets and highway is very different trust me.
👍
What’s the mirror used in Bosky’s bike?
Doubletake mirrors
Got it without the test ride. Zero regrets till date. 2K done.
👍
@bigbearbangalore Resetting the trip meter is easy...select the TRIP which you want to reset....and keep pressing the toggle button to left and that's it...
🙏🙏🙏
@@bigbearbangalore you are welcome Bosky and CK sir…😊… really love your content…🫡♥️👍
Hello sir big fan u mentioned about the right side pulling in the video i actually faced it i had taken a experience test ride for 2hrs from HSR Rajajinagar I was actually riding the bike at 80kmph I left both my hands the bike was slightly being pulled to the right I thought maybe its a test drive vehicle people might have ruff used it or they must have dropped it some where i thought but while i was driving I didn’t feel a thing I touched 130kmph there was no issue.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Can you please share the link of the side mirrors that you have installed in your bike.
Doubletake from motousher.com
Hi Sir, which dealership in Bangalore do you prefer for getting the Himalayan serviced in terms of service quality?
They are all equally good equally bad 😀
Sir what is the feedback on touring windshield? Is it effective?
Better than stock.
Was planning to upgrade from my 9 month old Dominar 250, got a test ride today and booked hanle black just half an hour ago. Opened youtube and voila, Big 🐻 custom came up with ownership review 🔥
Thanks for sharing these valuable insights/information.
Respect from Udupi 🙏
🙏 best wishes.
Hello sir, I got the new Himalayan, to reset the trip meter , go to the trip a or trip b press the joystick on left side and hold for few seconds and that should do the job for resetting the trip meter
🙏🙏🙏
What is your opinion about the decat pipe
Will find out more about it soon.
Among Triumph scrambler and Himalayan 450 which one would you choose? As both are from same segment.
Different segment. Same only in terms of price. Check our video on this posted a few weeks ago.
for me the ease of maintenence is very important - Valve check interval and accessibility, airfilter change , motoroil change interval.Maybe you can report in a future video ?!
I don't do the valves and besides it's at 10k, 30k , 50k and so on. And so accessibility matters not. And will keep sharing information.
@@bigbearbangalore ok-thank you

🙏
What do you want to say about headlight?
Do you feel Himalayan 450 need aux light for night ride?
Lights are average. If you're planning much night touring then aux will be useful.
I feel the question of low end torque arises due to its competition say the 400x, which has a very good low end performance and doesn’t ask you much.
Yes the 400X has better 2-3k torque and it's not competing against the H450. Different segment but only for the price.
Just got mine a few days ago and the right side pulling is an issue can you please guide me forward on whatbto do next
Get it checked and inspected and rectified at a dealership. It's solvable.
