Royal Enfield gives away their motorcycles to the left and right in the UK, the USA and Australia. What tyres are you running? and how many km's have you done on them?
Watch the video. It's all there.
@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV Thank you, yes seen them Pirelli scorpion 🙂
If you guys have flogged this bike for 10.ooo is and all it needs is a tapper adjustment that’s pretty good for reliability jimmy WA
Yes we thought so.
The Air Filter access was designed by a homer simpson in india. But I would still buy one if the need arises.
They are a good bike.
Great motorcycle. We have a motorcycle stereo with a compass and barometer. We look forward to working with you. How can I contact you?
Prime the new oil filter so that the engine will never run dry on initial spins.
Good point
so cfmoto 450mt is better???
Not really. Himmy has a better suspension. Also both of them are meant to be affordable bikes. But with 450mt burning gas while Himmy sipping it makes the big difference. Also himmy has the option to reduce the weight by replacing some parts as its full metal which in turn increases fuel efficiency and performance makes it a winner.
for me I prefer the Himi.
@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV reason please?
@@Futuremodi ur wrong bro, mt has kyb suspension versus noname on himi also works much better, maintain also easier, not needed disassembly half bike for changing air filter)
@@Shurup33 Himi has a Showa suspension. It has a service interval of 10k kms compared to the 5k kms of Mt. Not so economical I think. If u haven't watched the himi servicing video uploaded by madTV then please do.
I find it surprising that the inlet valve clearance had closed up and not the exhaust.
Maybe not correct adjustment from manufacture.
Jeez sometimes I really wish my 450RL was only worth a few grand so I could leave it dirty more often-
In some ways it really does look better like that and washing it after every ride does get old quick.
Hmm.
@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV😅I forgot you were awake D its only 5AM in Boston.
The rear tank mount looks like it was designed to hinge upwards, but the guy who designed the front mounts wasn't told about this and went home early, they missed a trick I think.
no it makes it easy to pivot 'hinge' the tank when fitting connections, then lift and push front down forward to connect to the lugs.
I wish the screen refresh rate matched the Go-pros so you don't get that horrible flicker.
I knew someone would whinge about that. I tried to remove it. Glass half empty I guess. Did you get anything out of the video or this was the most important thing to you.
@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV Actually I did.... not a rider... yet (and considering one of these or the 450 MT as a first bike) so had no idea what's involved in a servicing. :)
I've not looked deeply enough into this bike but I like how BUTT UGLY it is.... fits me rather well but I still don't know how well these
are taken care of by dealers in the US? I only know of one dealer in the DFW Metro area & if you don't have problems then that's not
an issue but if you do I'm hoping a dealer is available close by? peace
I can't help you with that one.
You've done enough just running the bike thru it's paces..... I've kinda looked around but not too many are riding around
that I've seen in the US? But it's pricing is a competitive factor at about $6400 USD's or close. Thanks for the video
I'm Keen to know Would you ride one to the cape
We will be doing that next year, I'm pretty sure. I'd like to go Cairns, Cape, Longreach and then get the bike transported back with Bikes Only.
Another fantastic review/ update on the Himalayan 450 Service/ reliability. I’m seriously thinking of getting one ☝️, I’m SO glad you showed the airbox off the bike I was SO interested on we’re the snorkel was and if a Pre- Filter can be fitted ( due to the tank removal process) Do you think 🤔 it’s possible and easy to fit one 🤔???
I had a look at it, I couldn't see a prefilter option. It needs more thought.
No worries thanks 👍

Madness delving into the valve train without cleaning all that dirt and dust off everything first.
He was careful.
It seems like a great bike, but I'm not an adv guy, I'm a scrambler guy. We need this bike without all the fairings or plastics, and a new gas tank.
Yeah that would look interesting
They already do, it's called the Guerrilla, same tank though...
I don't know why bajaj not interdoucing their bikes in australia, it will blow your mind at what price and quality they came in
Thanks for you thoughts.
Nice to see someone using beta tools instead of crap on
Yep
Everything looks well designed to be easy to access and service, and for rough riding. Even removing the tank connections is easy. Can't you tell us about the re-shimming, Dave?🕊
Not really, I didn't film that, I was doing something else. I regret that now.
Royal Enfield gives away their motorcycles to the left and right in the UK, the USA and Australia. It's not a surprise that they need to try and sell them at high prices somewhere - like in mainland Europe. We are not biting. The 2021 and 2022 models in their showrooms are not tempting, when we have brand new Japanese motorcycles at the dealer opposite the street at lower prices. I'm glad that you that you got a free bike and I'm also glad that I bought a good bike. It seems you have treated it like a free bike.
It's a loan bike. It goes back.
What ‘Japanese’ bikes are cheaper I wonder……
Bit of a clueless comment mate.....
A wipe with a rag might have been nice.
There was.
If this bike come in 650 cc then it will be a banger and can be more fruity in highways
possibly
Weren't you allowed to show how to adjust the valve clearance, what's the point of not showing this bit of the service was it top secret.......
Let's wait and see. The 900 was packed with quality.
The owner's manual states 5k km service intervals but others say 10k km intervals on UA-cam 🤔
manual 10k
You're not reading it correctly. 5,000 kilometres is an inspection. 10 K is the service. The Enfield mechanic said that at least twice in the video.
correct
In india we have bikes under 650 dollars and they great and you see on example like bajaj pletina 😆
Thanks
Does this bike have false neutral issue❓️
No.
The oil change process seems overly complicated on this bike... my ninja its one bolt and then twist off filter which isn't hiding.
It takes me a bit longer, but I don't mind it.
Its a better filter set up on the Enfield engine mate...
My 40th birthday will be 2025 October. Ima gift me one of these or if they come out with a Himalayan 650, I’d get that
That would be interesting if they came out with a 650.
@ there supposedly a “leaked” video from India confirming
@@johnnylong2049 Hmm
Never should us how to adjust the valves
I know, I missed it.
Its allterain bike with affordable price and good engine power.
Yes, I agree. Great value.
That sucked.. Did not show adjusting or shimming the out of spec valves. must be very very difficult. not for me.
Settle down, I just missed it.
Plastic is flexes.
Hmmm
when I see goofy video previews I just keep scrooling
Good
@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV Hahahahaha.....👍
Waaow, it's not that hard to service.
Not at all.
oops sorry hadn't listened to ALL of the video
Ha ha!
how can you ride 10k km on this black burned sludge?
Why not to flush engine with fresh oil each 2-3k km ?
Jesus.. :(
Why waste oil.
Wtf are you on mate ? 🤣😂🤣😂
The 450 Himalayan has shown it's a great bike. You guys flogging it, Fuzzy Biker has over 14,000 US miles on his since the release this Summer.
I'll still take the placement of the air filter on the T7 for maintenance, or if I drop it in the drink.. But, it isn't enough of a negative that I wouldn't buy the Himalayan., since I rarely ride with anyone I'm never eating dust.
Thanks to you and the dealership for filming the service Dave.
I agree, the T7 air filter location is better. But the 450 is still great value!
@ Definitely no argument there! I might add one and save the T7 for longer trips.
