Really like the idea of doing all side quests in a "one zone per character" approach. Keeps the content fresh, and it also gives a tiny bit of RP flavor by aligning each alt to the zone that has the best atmosphere for them.
Love that idea, your main does the heavy lifting and powering through the main storylines. Meanwhile your alt is exploring the side stories and learning more about the culture is a great rp approach.
@@wpprrz only up to the current level cap, or a level and a half. Once the launch drops, you'll need to log into alts to continue getting rxp. Unless they changed it.
My first character will be my main. I will do ALL main and side quest lines in a zone before moving to the next. All of this will be on my ground mount, and I’ll be reading all the quest text and watching all cut scenes.
Gathering is what my hunter does as well. I do play her (she's my 3rd main) but she has double gathering so she'll be working hard in the pre-launch. I levelled ALL my alts during the memories event (even the bank alt LOL) to get transmog and gear up the 'less than mains/still enjoy playing' toons.
I was going to do something similar. Main char would do MSQ, dual mining/herb (so I can get the camouflaged nodes), then have alts do side quests focusing on one specific area. I didn't even think of it as a way to maximize experience, though that is a happy bonus!
ATM plan is to level solo - focusing on story, sights and music - on my easy BM hunter via campaign and some side quests, assessing loot and farming areas, also how easy it might be for alts to solo where. At 80, get all my crafters into their new prof and do their one-time quests. Also very much assisting older players with leveling up, questing, flying, events. Then backtrack on BM and do everything I missed at least ONCE, so any alt will see if there is an activity "missing" that needs "opening" like we had that one fp in DF that required a quest from the Tuskars. After that, alternate between farming mats and rep grinding. Keeping my mats to level up crafting first, and upgrade them to lvl 3 for sale once raids open up.
My Army is going to start with my main (Death Knight) going down first to get a scope of the land. Once they are at Max level, next comes my Hunter which they will be my Hunter gatherer who will gather ore and herbs after while doing some quests along the way. Meanwhile my Druid will come in next to do similar to gathering but do some fishing on the side and gather meats and fish to prepare for cooking when the expansion starts. Then the others will come in and prepare for professions. So far that is right now my plan, more will come when I get more info.
For your thoughts on selling gathering mats, here’s my suggestion: sell to the early release crowd as soon as you can. Then gather some more after full release while the general release folks are leveling up. By the time they are reaching a level to need those mats, you’ll be ready to sell again.
My usual strategy is to run my main through everything, then pick single areas to level the rest. Seems like the warband system and your plan both support that. I'll probably do the same.
I'm a bit more higher endgame play, but for early access I plan on doing close to what you are. I don't plan on doing more than one alt though. Swapping to RSham for my main, and my druid will be my gatherer. So day 1 will be getting sham maxed. Day 2 will be gathering level my druid. I did this in DF with my evoker, all I did was mine/herb and leveled that toon to max level just with gathering. So that will be the plan for day 2, when I need breaks from that I will level alch/eng on my sham. I have all the stuff to pilfer, so I may do that and get leveled as much as I can during day 1 since most first crafts will award exp.
Sorry, but doing full one zone is not good idea. To push campaign you need lvl4 rep EACH zone, so split activity is better. I plan do MSQ quests first, if I struggle in last zone as 75/76 lvl I will grind rep in first 3 zones to lvl 4. After MSQ nad Pathfinding I discover all flight patch for speed boost. Next thing i will grind zone rep zone 1: lvl 7 zone 2 lvl 8 and zone 3 lvl 7 for rep items who are need for HC dungeons ilvl boost ( ilvl requirement ). Zone 4 will be after 4 lvl deleayed, because no rep items there. Earthen quest will be avoided at all cost, they almost don't give anything. So Earthen done at very last end of quests.
we'll see I'll be in for general launch on the 26th/27th depending on when servers come up, ha! I work from home, so it will be a challenge not to log in a lot when I should be working, but we'll see. My plans are usually just rolling with my main through everything before I even touch an alt, but I might change it up now since reps and achievs aren't a who did it first kind of thing and won't just be under my main. Aside from that, no major plans yet until I get in and see how it is.
I feel pretty good about my approach this time, I am going to be going less min/max this time. First I'll level my main and 100% all quests, taking my time enjoying the new place. Try all dungeons once. Once I get to max as soon as there is honor gear I'll cap asap for season start whenever that is. Then I have an alt I do M+ on, I'll level that quicker than the first and let him wait for season start. Then if I'm enjoying the expansion a lot I'll level a third alt. After that I'm just gonna chill until the season start, work on some achievements in the new place, some reps here and there but I am not gonna go as hard as I did last expansion, digging dirt and scraping the entire world for rares for a few pieces of gear was not worth it at all.
I hadn't considered the "when" of selling TWW mats. Curious to see what prices look like over the weekend vs during the week once everyone gets in to the expac. Hope you have fun on launch!!
Warcraft used to be my main game, but since BFA, I've been pretty casual. My focus is to experience the story first hand, with as little chance of spoilers as possible, so I will be doing the early access beta test, and I'll probably play more than I usually do until I finish the MSQ, and then It's back to 4-6 hours a week. Our guild does normal raids, and though there is a core group who play m+ dungeons, I'm not typically one of them. My static will likely do normal and heroic dungeons and a lot of delves, - especially if they are any good. Beyond that I'll focus on playing one or two characters and doing a lot of exploring/ gathering.
Good point on spreading out side and daily quests on alts and not "wasting" the XP from them. It does mean a little less gold, but it does mean that alts focusing on gathering professions will be robust enough to be able to do their thing without getting curbstomped by every NPC they run into.
Someone here in the comments pointed out this can feel like a roleplay sort of thing where one character in the warband covers one zone, another does this and that, and I found that thought pretty neat
Fantastic plan! I'm in a similar situation where I've picked out 4 characters to focus on, with 1 being the main. I hadn't considered leaving the sidequests to alts, but will definitely do that now. I think my main will be my gatherer and will leave my chosen gold-making professions to the alts.
I have almost that same amount too got like 5 dks, 3 druids etc lol remix made it too easy. Made demon hunter called Muzan by luck so made that as my last alt lol
@@marcelrodriguez2067 a lot of my alts was just for heritage armor quest for which I need to have higher level characters. When Remix came about, I saw a chance to level them up by removing them and use remix to upgrade. 17 remix character was made. When Radiant Echo even comes about, I use it to level the rest of my characters to 70. I also create some just to get the limited time armor and weapon transmog. I have 2 more characters I created just to get them that still need to be level (monk and Paladin). I have more Paladin, DK, Druid, Hunter and Warlock than any others.
Great video. Maybe also think about organizing your warbank, depending on your alt's professions needs. How many slots for gathering materials, how many for crafts, alchemy cds, etc. While leveling your main you might want to check what your alts will need for professions or gear, etc-> warbank
Get off work around 5pm then go hard for 24 hours hopefully hitting 80 by Friday afternoon then working on professions on gearing up and yes I have early access I took the 23rd off so I could play into the weekend
I am going to wait for the following week after a patch and the areas level out from early adopters rushing through. I am then going to just take my time through the content.
I guess my plan is to have you on screen two as I play on screen one. I suspect I won’t do a lot of AH stuff for the first week or two. I’ll be focusing on my crafters. Other than watching where you are going, I want to do every quest I can find on my first character. That is the fun part for me.
Gonna get my main 80 then instantly swap to my alt and get that to 80. Already have all quests prepped for main so will be 71 instantly when pre patch gos live
Whats your playtime like right now? i find myself the most excited after many years because im finally able to play more than just a couple hours after work lol
mostly I use priests for alts because its easy to learn one class so we start with log in on each alt to set up for rested xp and at the same time eat breakfast next is the main for the first sorta drag or story quests which are kinda a drag to me
i have a bunch more characters that are 70 and some Horde toons that still need to go from 60 to 70, in any case, my plans are to get my Main to 80 and then run each of my Tanks through to 80, so that i can earn that permanent 25% XP Buff. from there i will then progress through Endgame and level more toons during Anni, or when i have a set of Warbound/Crafted Gear for them.
I think I'm going to use early access for some profiteering. Push my main to 80, then get my dual gathering druid going for some mining and herb farming to fill the AH on the 26th. See how much I can actually make on the official opening weekend. I'll go for a couple hours of gathering then a couple of gearing. Rinse repeat, cash in. 🙂
hey, I was told the other day by guild mates that professions were off for early access. You video seems to say they are not, at least no gathering. I cannot find a post form blizzard about this. Do we have confirmation that professions are available?
We don't have confirmation that they're NOT available lol. Best we have atm is an interview from back during Blizzcon that specialization points wouldn't be available. Tells me profession leveling should work. Otherwise it'd be very awkward to have early access only to backtrack during general release.
Hey have you noticed any issues with your guild bank items disappearing? I've seen a couple comments but us common folk haven't gotten any answers. Thanks.
I thought I was okay with early access because it doesnt get a reset ahead, but then o rememberedhow much ivemade off gathering in the opening days of an expansion. At the start of shadowlands I made half a mil gold from herbalism and skinning alone, and the prices plummeted after just afew days
My plans are similar to yours. two questions though: 1) How/When are you planning to unlock all the sequential Tiers of Delves? On your Main as you level through or after? and 2) The gear cap to be ready to queue Heroics is 571. I wanna be sure to have that ready as soon as Heroics open. Any thoughts on making sure we can get there?
Delve tier unlocks are tied to the Warband. only a few tiers are available during the preseason and I haven't determined how high Brann can be leveled during that period. But if I've got nothing to do but grind levels for him, that's where I'll be.
Hey Soul, If you get to this message, I’d appreciate your feedback. My profession goals for TWW is to have my two co-main characters both be gatherers; mine & herb, while having a 3rd toon be my producer; alchemy & jewelry crafting. For crafting cooldowns & weekly quests, does this approach make sense in your opinion? Not a market goblin, I just love the profession systems & would like for my co-mains to have the best jewelry crafted gear & gems possible, while being as efficient as possible with my time, effort, & resources. Appreciate your work mate. Cheers ❤
@@SoulSoBreezy I thought so too!!! Until I saw the recent Cooking & Fishing vid. Cooking is my favorite profession, unequivocally. So, now I’m wondering if picking up skinning is worth the investment. What hurts is having skinning with no toons dedicated to LW, and both mains being plate wearers. Ahhhhh!!! The decisions…
ok I'm confused, in the video you have a MAIN (Horde) and 3 alts but 2 of those are Alliance toons. I thought the warband had to be the same faction to benefit from stuff. like your warband of 4 should all be horde or alliance together. Is that now how it works? I do wish the warband thing was all toons and not just 4 at a time, it feels weird like how do you pick 4
@@SoulSoBreezy yeah I've just now figured that out lol. I've spent the past week giving myself head aches trying to get 2 accounts setup with 4 favorites thinking I could only do 4 per account.
i'll be doing similar, getting into Profs as i can, but early access will limit us just as much as those who wait for the Season 1 launch, until then it wont really matter how much you try to get ahead, as Blizzard wont let us take over the market within days.
looks like most if not all have the same idea of gathering. wonder just how flooded the market will be since this is the first time we have early access.
Ive pretty much committed to my shadow priest even though I should be playing just about anything else, i just love the vibes. But they really arent good for solo content like devles which is all im going to do compared to other classes.
Does anyone know how long it takes to reach max for someone playing efficiently without going full speed? I'll be pretty quick (with speed enchants, gunshoes, etc.) but I still don't want to just rush past everything.
I don't like the early access idea in general. I really hope it makes the actual launch fairly smooth since launch day historically is terrible, not even worth bothering until the next day usually. First time I don't really have any excitement for a new xpac.
I'll lvl 3-4 chars to 80 with herbalism and mining so I can farm while leveling then i'll switch to designated professions. Hopefully by then my renown will unlock everything important like knowledge points and recipies. Ten im gonna setup my alt army. Farm all profession treasures on all chars and start cd crafting alloys, cloth and stuff. Then i'll probably do heroics and delves on main. I'll also very likly setup 1 alt for a cloth farming 2x4 so he can supply mats for my tailor alt army since cloth doesnt drops for non-tailors. Thx god I have 10 days off work otherwise this plan wouldnt be possible
X! sorry, but that is incorrect, Renown cannot be grinded out that fast, only your first time quest rewards will affect your rep, same with WQs. what Renown you gain will pretty much be the same as others.
@@UltimateGamerCCReally? I recently returned to dragonflight I skipped season 2 and I did campaign for zerelek caverns on 3 chars and I got to renown 0 to 20 in like few days.
@@BulkersRuleZ yes, that is how Renown works in DF, they have revised it going forward. the only means to get ahead of others will be to buy and use Contracts, which give 15 extra rep for that renown. so most people will be progressing at the same pace.
How many people do you think are going to wait until release to buy War Within? It seems you can pre-purchase all the up to the release day. It's certainly still active now.
@@SoulSoBreezy Actually, I am being dozy, as you still need to buy the epic edition. Previously, I would 'pre-purchase' a few days before and still get the perks, as I am not generally a fan buying before they've developed, but this time I hadn't bought Dragonflight, so getting that thrown in sweetened the pill. Still don't agree it's a good idea to split the start, but it's a better time of the week. FFXIV Endwalker gave everyone early access who purchased before 'launch'.
With the various protections put in place I dont' think anyone'll notice after the first week or so. If there wasn't already a 3 tier purchase system, or if EA meant players could get a permanent advantage like it's P2W, I'd have very different thoughts. In fact gamers wouldn't let wow quietly get away with it and be extremely loud. You could lump me in with that crowd, too.
Like your plan, I want to get a main character through the MSQ and zones to maximize the benefits of Warbands. I assume that my alts that follow later only need to level?
Do people still save quests to then turn in right as an expansion goes live so they have a small chunk of exp ahead of everyone else? Thats how we use to get server firsts back in BC/WoTLK lol
that hasnt worked in years tbh. old content quests reward NO EXP when the level cap and new expansion is implemented, just Bonus Gold and Cosmetic stuff.
@@SoulSoBreezy well then, there may be an opportunity to sell semi exclusive items to people with lots of gold and no early access. People who wanna start crafting the moment they get access in launch day. 😊
Anyone else not buying into the paid early access bullshit and will just reach new level cap at their own pace? Guess it's a first time for everything, but after 20 years I'm so done rushing to new level cap. The lack of leveling past 50 in ESO is what makes that game great imo.
Panic? YES !!! Bought EPIC edition and got 15 days ban yesterday! So early access for me is fucked up and also didn't spent 500 000 residual memories for alts i farmed so i will lose 25 transmogs FOREVA!

Hey Soul,
If you get to this message, I’d appreciate your feedback.
Cheers ❤
Reads like a solid build!
Short answer is no, unless your entire identity is focused around making food haha
@@SoulSoBreezy heard. I wish I was that committed to the RP. OG plan it is then. 🤙🏼 ahhhhh!!! One more week!!!!!
weird take don't we have like 2-3 weeks before we can do any real content plenty of time to level haha
ok I'm confused, in the video you have a MAIN (Horde) and 3 alts but 2 of those are Alliance toons. I thought the warband had to be the same faction to benefit from stuff. like your warband of 4 should all be horde or alliance together. Is that now how it works? I do wish the warband thing was all toons and not just 4 at a time, it feels weird like how do you pick 4
The warband = all characters
Your favorites only the four characters you see in the camp screen, it's just a visual.
@@SoulSoBreezy yeah I've just now figured that out lol. I've spent the past week giving myself head aches trying to get 2 accounts setup with 4 favorites thinking I could only do 4 per account.
The game release time will be 3PM PST on both early access day and official release day.
level , gear some and get my head into a proffesion , never rly done them its time to do it:D
i'll be doing similar, getting into Profs as i can, but early access will limit us just as much as those who wait for the Season 1 launch, until then it wont really matter how much you try to get ahead, as Blizzard wont let us take over the market within days.
Anyone elses guild have the same 3 or 4 achieves popping multiple times per day, plus showing massive amounts of online notifications randomly
looks like most if not all have the same idea of gathering. wonder just how flooded the market will be since this is the first time we have early access.
Ive pretty much committed to my shadow priest even though I should be playing just about anything else, i just love the vibes. But they really arent good for solo content like devles which is all im going to do compared to other classes.
My main goal for early access is to unlock the Earthen
My plan is to level as many characters I can.
Does anyone know what ilvl quests drop at from 71-80? Wondering when I will be replacing gear on alts
Does anyone know how long it takes to reach max for someone playing efficiently without going full speed? I'll be pretty quick (with speed enchants, gunshoes, etc.) but I still don't want to just rush past everything.
10 hours, probably less. count on doing some sidequests if you're slamming the campaign
I swore to myself i won't make more than 2 characters this time as i want to have a bit of life
thank you
Any openings in your guild? Old school player with lots of wow experience.
I don't care much about it since i always take my sweet time with new expansions but early access is so lame
Thought professions wouldn’t be available until official release?
How many people do you think are going to wait until release to buy War Within?
It seems you can pre-purchase all the up to the release day. It's certainly still active now.
Probably 30 people
@@SoulSoBreezy Actually, I am being dozy, as you still need to buy the epic edition.
How do you get the dirgable (sp?) mount?
Hit max level in TWW and you can't miss it
Like your plan, I want to get a main character through the MSQ and zones to maximize the benefits of Warbands. I assume that my alts that follow later only need to level?
Basically, yes
Do people still save quests to then turn in right as an expansion goes live so they have a small chunk of exp ahead of everyone else? Thats how we use to get server firsts back in BC/WoTLK lol
that hasnt worked in years tbh. old content quests reward NO EXP when the level cap and new expansion is implemented, just Bonus Gold and Cosmetic stuff.
are bgs going to be released??????? and like talents etc?
My issue right now is still picking a main 😂
So if I have early access and farm ores and herbs and put them on AH, can someone who does not have early access buy those items off the AH???
Neat question; I don't see why they shouldn't be able to buy that stuff up
@@SoulSoBreezy well then, there may be an opportunity to sell semi exclusive items to people with lots of gold and no early access. People who wanna start crafting the moment they get access in launch day. 😊
I love the sword! Where is that from?
Current leveling plans? Do all the things!
Current crafting plans? Gather all the ore and sell it!
Instructions clear: PANICING!!!!
how do i join the guild?
Bold of you to think the game will be playable on thursday
Stay imany brothers
havent Ion said in one of the interviews that proffesions will be turn off for early access ?
havent heard anything like that at all.
Anyone else not buying into the paid early access bullshit and will just reach new level cap at their own pace? Guess it's a first time for everything, but after 20 years I'm so done rushing to new level cap. The lack of leveling past 50 in ESO is what makes that game great imo.
Just upgraded to epic edition for 4 extra days..
you okay bro?
I don´t think ´working to make money´ is on my list of things to do when playing a game.
Is there a way to make gold with delves?
iirc delves will drop certain profession reagents that either can't be found anywhere else or are very rare
Panic? YES !!! Bought EPIC edition and got 15 days ban yesterday! So early access for me is fucked up and also didn't spent 500 000 residual memories for alts i farmed so i will lose 25 transmogs FOREVA!
don't get banned then?
@@HeatherSZ I haven't received such a smart answer in a long time.
Dua Lipa ownz Taylor Swift!
Subjective
have you not been doing the even't lit give's you all 480 gear how you lvl 70 with a main an got 408 gear lol
Not everyone who starts playing TWW will have played through this event
