AIRBUS A350 near VERTICAL TAKEOFF and great VISUAL APPROACH - ILA 2018 Airshow (4K)

  • The ILA 2018 is the biggest german aviation fair and I spent a day at Berlin to film the flying display of the Airbus A350 of the Airbus company. Currently I am still at Berlin and I can` t upload the full airshow cause my small laptop is going crazy with the 4K footage. I am trying to upload the full performance of the Airbus A350 tomorrow.
The Airbus A350 flying display was my personal highlight of the ILA. The "carbon" color scheme of this Airbus looks amazing and it` s always impressive to watch this extremly fast rotation during these airshows. It was quite stormy and the skilled pilots had absolutly no problems with the visual approach at the end of the display.
As already mentioned check my channel again tomorrow if you would like to see the full airshow. My laptop is already working on it ;)
ILA - 2018, new videos every friday and tuesday.

The A350 is a beautiful aircraft and depending on the airline, which has the most room and comfort. The comfort and room is built in by Airbus, but as always its down to the airlines greed to the rest. Good airlines provide the space Airbus built in, others try to get another row of seats in and another seat across the width.(norm. for Economy is nine across and 4 across for business class)

true that. They want to hack the view and they ruin it. I can't tell how close to vertical it got because the POV is off and the dumb zoom was too much.

The environmental impact of aviation occurs because aircraft engines emit heat, noise, particulates, and gases which contribute to climate change and global dimming. Airplanes emit particles and gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, lead, and black carbon which interact among themselves and with the atmosphere.
      1) BLACK CARBON
Short-term epidemiological studies provide sufficient evidence of an association of daily variations in BC concentrations with short-term changes in health (all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, and cardiopulmonary hospital admissions). Cohort studies provide sufficient evidence of associations of allcause and cardiopulmonary mortality with long-term average BC exposure.
      2) CARBON DIOXIDE
Inhalation: Higher concentrations can affect respiratory function and cause excitation followed by depression of the central nervous system. A high concentration can displace oxygen in the air. If less oxygen is available to breathe, symptoms such as rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, clumsiness, emotional upsets and fatigue can result. As less oxygen becomes available, nausea and vomiting, collapse, convulsions, coma and death can occur. Symptoms occur more quickly with physical effort. Lack of oxygen can cause permanent damage to organs including the brain and heart.
      3) WATER VAPOR
Inhaling ANYTHING (even water vapor) into your lungs is bad. Water vapor can carry a bacterial / viral load and is a terrifically efficient means of spreading infection. For example, ‘Host Tub Lung’ refers to some particularly nasty pulmonary infections spread by inhalation of water vapor whilst sitting in host tubs that have nasty bacteria. The same route of transmission can spread infection using showers where the shower head develops bio-film and a bacterial population. Turn on the shower and it spreads into vapor and inhaled. I had such an infection; 5 weeks in hospital and 1.5 years on antibiotics.
      4) HYDROCARBONS
Types of exposure include unintentional ingestion, intentional recreational abuse, unintentional inhalation, and dermal exposure or oral ingestion in a suicide attempt. Aspiration pneumonitis is the most common complication of hydrocarbon ingestion, followed by central nervous system (CNS) and cardiovascular complications.
      5) CARBON MONOXIDE
Breathing CO can cause headache, dizziness, vomiting, and nausea. If CO levels are high enough, you may become unconscious or die. Exposure to moderate and high levels of CO over long periods of time has also been linked with increased risk of heart disease. People who survive severe CO poisoning may suffer long-term health problems.
Scientists are not sure what the health effects are when a person is exposed to low levels of CO over a long period of time. Better tracking of CO poisoning and exposure can help us learn about the effects of long-term exposures to low levels of CO.
      6) NITROGEN OXIDES
NOx mainly impacts on respiratory conditions causing inflammation of the airways at high levels. Long term exposure can decrease lung function, increase the risk of respiratory conditions and increases the response to allergens. NOx also contributes to the formation of fine particles (PM) and ground level ozone, both of which are associated with adverse health effects.
      7) SULFUR OXIDES
Sulfur dioxide affects human health when it is breathed in. It irritates the nose, throat, and airways to cause coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, or
a tight feeling around the chest. The effects of sulfur dioxide are felt very quickly and most people would feel the worst symptoms in 10 or 15 minutes
after breathing it in. Those most at risk of developing problems if they are exposed to sulfur dioxide are people with asthma or similar conditions.
      8) LEAD
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) has estimated that, based on 2015 data, lead exposure accounted for 494 550 deaths and loss of 9.3
million disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) due to long-term effects on health. IHME also estimated that lead exposure accounted for 12.4% of the
global burden of idiopathic developmental intellectual disability, 2.5% of the global burden of ischaemic heart disease and 2.4% of the global burden of stroke.
      9) Tourism spreading antibiotic resistant superbugs new study reveals
      www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/03/05/tourism-spreading-antibiotic-resistant-superbugs-new-study-reveals/

This is a test flight with Testpilots. The boundaries of the flight cell are tested. Such a take-off will never be used in later flight operations, at most in an emergency situation, since this results in huge stresses on the flight cell which can shorten the durability. No A, B, C or D check can help either. If the cells are damaged, the plane can be disposed of.
Furthermore, this is not a VTOL. It is a short start with (probably) maximum power of the engines to guarantee the shortest possible way to take off. In addition, such an angle of attack can only be achieved with maximum engine power. But ... VTOL is not. VTOL means vertical landing and take-off, from a standing position without rolling. The aircraft rides on the exhaust jet and does not use the lift of the wings, which is only built up above a certain speed. Namely when the plane would take off on a regular taxi.
So it's nonsense to say this is VTOL!

i experienced that once at a flight from vienna to athens, it was a brand new 737 ( not sure about the exact type, it happened quite a few years ago ), there were like 8-10 passengers altogether, and the pilot definitely enjoyed that immensely, as i did. it was really impressive, compared to a normal flight the acceleration phase was way more intensive, and of course shorter, and when he pulled the nose up, it felt like ... well, for me it was definitey extemely enjoyable.

I am glad that you put near vertical takeoff in your description. I am so fed up with people claiming airliners do vertical takeoffs....From my knowledge of airliners, I would say it is virtually impossible.. To try to go vertical without gaining some altitude would either cause a serious tail strike, or worse. So though it may appear to be vertical, it is not.... Thank you....

If you want to zoom in, use binoculars. If you want us to appreciate the beauty of a flight, a more wide angle shot is often the better way to go.
