19:08 Shel Silverstein???? For real? I didn't know that. Thank you! I haven't heard that song in years. Since you mentioned that, I've watched it about 7 times over and over today!
I posted an ad on Craigslist the other day that just said I do Free Book Removal. I got a response within a couple hours. If all goes well I'll be going over to pick up a couple hundred free religious / spiritual books! 🤞
Nice run of sales Mike while you were away. Interesting that Ebay let you sell the locked iWatch - I've had listings for locked iPhones and iPads taken down as a violation of their policy (maybe they think it's stolen) - glad to hear yours got through!! As for Adam and the junk business, I do miss having my junk removal franchise that I had for 12+ years - the things that I still have to sell from that is unimaginable to many!! The gems he'll find as he continues with that will reap some big rewards!!
You are correct on shipping. Ebay hits us hard on the pricey shipping costs. I ship many extra large packages daily. UPS and USPS have priced themselves out of business for the sizes I ship. Right now, FedEx is getting 99.8% of my business. FedEx Ground Economy is saving me up to $40 on some really big ones, but the dimensions limit (122 combined) is lower than FedEx Home or Ground. I haven't done anything different with shipping, Promoted percentages, or Sale Markdowns. According to my ebay sales performance, expences are down 7% from any period in 2024. The only thing I feel making a difference is the shipping cost. I have used that "Ground Economy" around 20 times this month, and I am also making around $7 extra on more of the medium sized boxes. Have you compared your current expense percentage, compared to last year?
85 items to ship??? Oh my word! I would love that, but it would freak me out! Gosh, my bank account could do with 85 sales right now, though. But I'm not envying you that job! Good luck!
I saw you once at Saver's (before I knew you had a You Tube channel) , you were scanning books with some sort of hand held reader. I often see books for sale but doing google lens is time consuming on each book. can you recommend a scanner that I can get so I can check out books when I see them to sell on EBAY and PoshMark. I also see books for sale at the Villages and I often wonder if they would be worthwhile to try to sell on EBAY. I can't do bins of books like you do but a smaller scale of book selling might work. Thanks for all your informative videos which gives me ideas. Slowly my sales are improving. The other day at Savers I found a craftsman tool set that I bought and sold quickly. This is an example of broadening my horizons with selling.
Nice. As far as scanner. You would really need SCOUTIQ app on your phone. You can then use that to get a better idea of the value of some of the books. It also has a feature that once you scan the book it will let you see the ebay price. I have a new video out on my AMAZON work flow on SATURDAY. Here is a link to SCOUTIQ. It does cost $14 a month or $120 a year. If you are doing books its a must. SCOUTIQ LINK FOR BOOK SCANNING scoutiq.co/?ref=mikewilson3
@@goldenstatepicker As always appreciate your information. I have another question about something near and dear to our hearts but I want to ask you privately.
It's kinda funny bc I personally wouldn't want to buy a book already highlighted but I buy them all day long to resell bc I know plenty of people don't mind. I also sell a decent amount of acceptable books- I just price them well and set a reasonable MIN MAX price and people looking for a deal buy them all the time. Shipped 3 acceptables yesterday.
@ I've had people tell me that. It's like getting the Cliff Notes. They just read what's highlighted, trusting that whoever had it before them knew what to highlight. I wouldn't like it at all! I got a Spanish workbook for a friend one time and when it came to me, it was completely filled out. It was listed as new. That ticked me off big time, but my friend didn't care. He might've liked having all the work done for him. LOL
Great video and I love the junk hauling plan…one man’s junk is another’s man’s treasure, right? I wanted to watch the bin of books video and a lot came up in search… is the one you keep referencing titled “The ultimate Amazon book selling video step by step”?
Highlighting doesn’t bother me - I’m really happy to get a good deal (pay less for the same information) plus I figure that the highlights and notes are things I need to know!
I have not had success for finding books. I have tried thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, friends, shout outs on social media, and nextdoor. Where do I get a bin of books.
Hey Mike, I’d be careful about putting your ben info out there. I’m in an Amazon seller group filled with guys that have warehouses filled with books that deal with truck loads. They have been watching your videos and scanning your area for your connection. If they find it might not effect you, but they deal in truck loads it could effect you. I know you are being quit about exactly what it is, but these guys are looking. Just a heads up.

No that is a video of me explaining how to do FBA. UA-cam video playlist AMAZON FBA then look for a thumbnail of me doing books.

That's my thinking. Highlighted already for me.
if you had to do it again would you sell on amazon?
in NC have you found a place to get a bin of books I am in Alabama in Mobile I have not bin able to find a place to buy them.
Haven't had a real chance to look into it. Once I'm more involved there I will look more.
In Greensboro, the Goodwill outlet used to sell bins.
@@billbled thank you I am looking for a place in southern Alabama
@ That’s what I’m talking about: thanks for letting us know

I wouldn’t buy book with highlights, ever🤷🏻♀️
use pirate ship, no fees
You still have to build in shipping to the price? EBAY gets its fees one way or the other.
