It's not easy to forgive people who have wronged to. Sometimes it can feel impossible. But know that forgiveness isn't just for the aggressor, but for yourself. It alleviates a heavy burden that you don't have to carry.
Prophet Muhammad said "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger" (Sahih al-Bukhari, 8:73:135).
Allah Almighty God's Mercy is the most merciful of all. He had guided us to forgive the man who murdered our dearest son Salahuddin (RI). We knew it was the right thing to do to save one life. "Forgiveness is the greatest gift or charity in Islam. I have to pour myself out to forgive someone who has wronged our family."

My mother was killed by a 20 year old drunk driver in 2000. Even though the young man destroyed our lives and himself, we chose to forgive him after we learned of his remorse. My father went to see him in prison - he received 15 years - several times and, while it was extremely painful for all of us, forgiving him helped us. The young man was released in 2011 and went on to live a productive life.
I got robbed at gunpoint as a pizza delivery driver. It's a senseless act to kill someone over a few bucks. This man's ability to forgive his son's killer speaks to a strong faith and a good heart. I hope his words help that young man to change his heart and do some good in this world.

Some people just don't have it in them to forgive things like that. Can you blame them though? I would be full of hatred if someone did something of that level to me.
This is how the pagan Arabs entered Islam because Prophet Muhammad treated them with utmost respect and forgiveness when they had done worse. He's a true believer. He knows that God will reunite him with his son in the afterlife and that nothing he could do now will bring him back. Instead of continuing the cycle of anger, hatred and revenge, he decided to break it and help his son's killer hopefully find faith and peace, as well-in addition to everyone in that courthouse and now everyone on the internet who see this. He has transformed the aftermath of a horrible act and experience into something positive in the bigger picture of things. The true believer is always aware of that bigger picture, lives by it, and tries to show other people it so they can live by it, as well. Whomever God misguides, you will not find a way for him.” So…. in the religion of Islam, I as a Muslim believe that God guides whom He wills and He misguides whom He wills.
It takes a lot of strength to forgive someone who did something so terrible.

Something about this man is extremely healing. He is so wise and kind. I hope to be a half of the man he is some day. Thank you for opening my eyes ❤️
I was a soldier from 2002-2007, and i cant tell how valuable a gift this young man received. All he has to worry about is forgiving himself now.
Thank you for your service
No he needs to worry about his immortal soul and getting Gods forgiveness.
Wow, bless you
@Shadow Hunter being soldier mean you will be in situations when you must kill enemy for your duty. killing people will left regret, whatever reason is. (sorry for my bad english)
@@lukejposadas he doesn’t need to worry about God’s forgiveness. It there is a god, he’s supposed to forgive all no matter how bad the crime is
He's a true believer.
He's a true man of God and a saintly being, may he be rewarded for his actions.

What most don’t capture. Is that this man is man of the spirit. I felt the man being set free as the father hugged him.
You can really tell he just wanted to let that weight go and the father allowed him to do it. That was huge of the father of the victim.

God is the way confide in him. The cheers I imagine this young man will hear if he gets saved and goes to heaven will be beautiful indeed.
I feel touched to see Muslims who always forgive other people's mistakes😭😭
We learned this from our Prophet Muhammad because he is the best of all human beings. Our Prophet has pardoned all those who fought and wronged them in the conquest of Makkah. He is the Prophet of mercy. If you read about him, you will not be surprised. We Muslims are all trying to be like what our Prophet taught us how to deal with others as much as possible.
This has nothing to do with religion its all about human
@@orixxonedits5790 And what teaches humanity? Who taught humans to be humans by feeding the poor, taking care of old and weak? Giving Charity? Abstaining from sins?
It is religion (in our case Islam) which teaches humans the humanity. It is politics which ruins things in the name of religion.
Don't learn religion from news channels, go and read them from their original scriptures.

He's like that one wise person in every movies, who is filled with wisdom.
In a movie this would be a point of unrealistic wisdom and control. But this man is actually real. I will remember this man when angry or in pain. This will always stick.
I have seen this clip so many times and it’s still one of the most powerful things I have ever seen. This man is everything the rest of us should aspire to be.
Wow I didn’t plan on sobbing when watching this.

Same.
That's literally the saddest thing I have ever seen.
I somewhat agree but I bet we have different reasons as to why
@@Gxlto so wat is your reason?
@@ahsanlodhi4773 My reason is that the dad, being the tragic character in the story because of what he is going through, instead of approaching the problem at the core and dealing with the killer, he instead shifts the blame, which to be honest is pretty common with people going through situations as terrible as his, and blames the infalsifiable supernatural instead. This might not be the saddest thing I've ever seen but it is one of the saddest because you can't really blame the dad since he is going through so much sentimental pain but you also can't call him brave and honest because he isn't actually confronting the problem and truly forgiving the killer and everyone in the comment section is giving him false credit.
@@Gxlto I think that you saying that he is shifting the blame is you being close-minded. You didn't truly understand what he meant by the devil. Try and understand what he actually means by blaming the devil.
@@Gxlto this is super interesting. I guess you could see it that way. But most people of faith believe that humans are good and are misguided by the devil. Obviously this man hold such conservative view, but I think you can't say that his forgiveness is not genuine or misdirected. Only he (and God) knows is he truly forgives the killer or not. I understand that maybe you don't believe in God, and thats okay. I just think that we shouldn't discredit his forgiveness :)
I can 100% tell that he regrets his mistake honestly
God forgives him 🙏
Bad decision rather but yes I feel he felt convicted for his crime we all are guilty of something

That's why he got the 25 instead of life he he showed humility when given humanity and love in response for one of the worst things possible many people take the term kill em with kindness to make double sided comments and be condescendingly nice when this is what it actually means show love and humanity and in return you get a much better result he coulda denounced him or threatened him and it would've gone very different you get what you give
Forgiveness is a real important thing, if you don't forgive and carry the animosity in your heart, you're on the way of making yourself the same person you hate.
As a christian I respect this mans belief and I admire his integrity. I'm seeing similarities between his and my religions. God bless him.

And people call Muslims “terrorists”. I know people did wrong things for Islam, but it was never justified by our religion. Islam is really a religion of peace and submission, the reason why the father wasn’t mad is because he knows his son was righteous, and knows that everyone has to die one day.
