Got mine a week ago. Haven’t had a chance to install it since I just got it back from the detailers today. Your video was great. Will make installation so much easier tonight.
I appreciate the in-depth video on this very very, very exact and precise thank you. I just got mine powder coated black, and I will be installing it soon.
Nice video! You may want to check the left side bolt torque as I dont think its the 42-48 ft-lbs you are stating. I think the left side bolt is for the jiffy stand assembly (not the engine mount) and the torque value is 36-42 ft-lbs per page 3-136 of the service manual.
Are you just crazy strong or what!? I've seen other videos, they had a tough time loosening those engine mount bolts. You made it look easy! Great video, I ordered my Thrashin Supply Skid Plate. Great piece of mind 😎👍
That’s the Harley branded Condor wheel chock. You’ll save some money buying the non Harley branded one straight from Condor. Harley ($325): www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/cruiser-cradle-wheel-chock/p/92900001 Condor ($250): www.condor-lift.com/product/pit-stop-trailer-stop-part-ps-1500/
Thanks! No issues getting the bike out of the chock. You do have to “bounce” the wheel out of it, but it’s no issue for me. I ride daily so the bike is in and out of the chock every day.
@@BrandonsHarley Damn! I was hoping that wasn’t the case. They are. Craftsman. The fit the 5/16 rider floorboard attachment bolts perfectly, but barely go into the frame bolts. Afraid if I put any gusto into turning them, it’ll strip the outer portion.
Nope, this is far away from the engine oil, transmission fluid, and primary fluid drain plugs. It is in front of the frame too, so you don’t have to worry about jacking up on it either.
$100 + S&H to better reduce air flow to the motor? Looked at their website and their disinformation shows a bunch of crap hanging out of a Harley like I've NEVER seen on the road!
Not at all...I was at the dealership visiting a few weeks backs and a guy pulled up that was passing through on a 23.5 cvo and caught pieces of a semi tire on the road and it ripped off his coolant hose and did some damage right where that skid plate goes. I was sold from then on about this plate.
Only video installation of skid plate with all the details including torque values, you're the best "KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK''
Appreciate it! Thank you!

Ordered mine on 07-10-24 waiting for it to ship. Thanks for making the video.

Thanks for the great install vid. Got mine today and just installed it with the help of your vid.
Great video. Thank you. Mine arrived today. I may just rattle it with some black engine enamel.

Ha! 😂 I am but they’re only 45 ft-lbs, not that tight!
Great video. Thanks, looking forward to getting mine.
Perfect done my friend 👏
Thanks for making this video
Very cool upgrade🤘

@@BrandonsHarley very much appreciate!
Nice job!
Well done video
Looks useful. Just don't understand why there isn't a 2014-2022 version.
Would this interfere with frame mounted highway pegs? It looks like they use the same bolt. Thanks!
Mine is out for powder coating! 😃
Nice!!
Have the same bike and nice video, going to order mine in black. Quick question, do you have a challenge getting the bike out of that chollk?
Thanks! No issues getting the bike out of the chock. You do have to “bounce” the wheel out of it, but it’s no issue for me. I ride daily so the bike is in and out of the chock every day.
Did you have trouble with the 2 large frame bolts? 5/16 hexbit doesn’t seem to fit my bolts. It’s closer to a 7mm, but that’s kinda loose.
Nope, the 5/16” hex bit fit snug in the bolts. That is confirmed with Harley’s part fiche.
Are you using name brand hex bits?
@@BrandonsHarley Damn! I was hoping that wasn’t the case. They are. Craftsman. The fit the 5/16 rider floorboard attachment bolts perfectly, but barely go into the frame bolts. Afraid if I put any gusto into turning them, it’ll strip the outer portion.
@@NotachefHDinteresting… I hate that. I would not turn the bolt if you don’t have a proper fit in it. On both sides of the bike it fits the same?
@@BrandonsHarley Yes. But it fits the 5/16 bolts above as I expected it. All the way in and snug. What brand hex bit did you use?
@@NotachefHDJobSmart from Tractor Supply Company
do you need to remove this to change oil

excuse me, but is such plate essentially required ?
There have been instances of the coolant hoses being damaged from road debris. This skid plate prevents that from happening.

@@robjones312 ha no it doesn’t lol
Wow. Another reason I don't want one of the new bikes.
Are you sure it isnt because you cant afford one?
@@MEGATRON_1247 Oh I'm sure, you should see my garages. That' plural.
