TOFT is a British craft company based in rural Warwickshire, England and home of the Edward's Menagerie and Alexandra's Garden collections of crochet animals and flowers by Kerry Lord. Bringing traditional crafts and contemporary designs together using luxury materials, we specialise in beginner knit and crochet kits and have a wide range of pattern books and British wool. We offer everything on our website including video tutorials, but we also love taking ‘TOFT on tour’ as we visit shows and event, and host workshops, all around the globe!
Our luxurious pure wool yarns are spun in the UK to our exact specifications to have a bouncy and lofty texture that ensures a beautifully soft fabric whether you’re knitting a hat or crocheting a portrait of your pet pooch! Our core natural colour spectrum of stunning greys and browns (inspired by alpacas on our farm) is spun in Fine, Double Knitting (DK), Aran and Chunky weights, and we’ve had lots of fun over the years expanding our DK range to include bright jewel tones, subtle pastels and limited edition self-patterning hand-dyed skeins too, each to accompany birds, flowers, vegetables and more as we continue to explore and design.
We’re a small and hardworking creative team, grown from initially just being myself with the addition of a few part-time self-employed sales assistants, to now being ran by a team of twelve full-time creative people. We do everything in house, from design work to photography, to dispatching parcels and customer service all from our HQ base so whether you’ve got a pattern query or need help choosing yarn colours for your next project we’re always at the other end of the phone or an email!
So enjoyed this interview! Kerry is just phenomenal - her energy level, her creativity, the upbeat view! She is so inspiring!
Thank you
Thank you for your wonderful interviews. I am always finding designers who are so interesting and creative.
Glad you like them!
What a pleasure to see Kerry. I love watching Martyn's Christmas vlogs to see the Toft mystery unfold. The vegetables are delightful designs. Thank you for this great interview.
I learned about Toft through Martyn
@@Fiberchats I did, too.

The advent sounds great. So much planning I didn't know about.
What a fascinating and engaging interview.Thankyou both Inrina and Kerry for taking the time.Whilst I am not into anigarumi,J do appreciate the skill and thought processes of design behind this area of creativity.I loved Kerry's quote"I can see myself doing this for the rest of my life- even if no one else was on board" I feel the same about my creative work. Its not work to me.Just pure joy.Go well ,both of you.🙏♥️👋🌏🐨xx
Yes, Kerry’s passion is contagious
Like a lot of people, I heard about Toft through Martyn's channel. This was such a delightful interview. Kerry's passion and enthusiasm are certainly contagious and all of those amigurumi toys----so spectacular!
There are so many beautiful toys, hard to choose a favorite
Thanks Ladies Great interview ❤❤
Thanks for listening
As soon as I saw the title I thought of Martyn. As always a very informative interview.
For me as well Toft and Martyn are inseparable:)
Thank you for this inspiring interview. I hope it will be able again to order dolls from the women who made history series during the days around the world women’s day, as it was last year. I ordered Amelia Earhart last year and would like to order two new dolls this year if it’s possible. I hope so, as they are normally only available within the subscription. I love the idea that Toft sells the women dolls exceptionally around the world women’s day. It’s one of those points that makes the company so special.
Have a nice day!
What a great interview!
