She showed a home movie of the family Christmas it was one of the funnest things I see with her Father and Uncles clowning around with Grandfather trying to control them at the Christmas table with her Grandfather in tears of laughter.
They also filmed a scene with all four of them in Malice In the Palace, with Curly as a chef and Moe, Larry, & Shemp as waiters, but the scene was foolishly cut, possibly for time. The footage was lost except for one still frame.
Not only was it the only on film appearance with all 4 Stooges together (by extension, all 3 brothers) but it was the last appearance Curly made before his death. He visited the studio that day while they were shooting and Moe was surprised, they wanted to try and find some way to work him in despite his worsening condition. So they got him to do that small part on his behalf. Moe was truly a great dude, it was obvious how much he cared for his brothers and Larry, doing all he could to protect them or do his best for their sake. It honestly is a shame the kind of heartache and trouble they dealt with.

I honestly found that shit hilarious. It’s a bad movie, but the actors who were cast as the three stooges really captured the charm of the original three stooges
Dead on Time Expect the original three stooges aren't in the movie because the stooges in the movie is the second version of the group Moe,Larry, and Curly.
I've been a Stooges fan all my life. My favorite episode is definitely Brideless Groom. That whole thing was nonstop laughter. Something I've always done is whenever something happens and it's obvious what it was, I'll say "What happened?" just to fuck with people. LOL. That's a good one.
Favorite lines are Curly doing the "ooooh mammy" rhyme and dance....and "I reckon this must be the place I reckon" That second one I use in conversation waaaay too often.
I recommend checking out this obscure movie called "Stoogemania". Also with the Kook's Tour (and please correct me if I am wrong) Larry suffered a stroke while they were filming it and either got a stand in or just finished the film without Larry.
“Spook Louder” is my all time favorite. I love showing my son episodes and keeping their legacy ongoing. Shows like this will eventually die if we don’t show and educate our sons and daughters.
Dear James and the Cinemassacre crew, Since you just did The Three Stooges (awesome video by the way), I would love to hear your take on Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, their works, and which one y'all personally prefer!
WSBK-TV38 / MyTV38 in Boston still has one of the two or so remaining TV stations with syndication rights to play 3 Stoogies shorts. According to the terms of the contract, as long as the TV station agrees to renew the license every year, the agreement cannot end. That is why they have the 3 Stoogies Marathon every New Years Eve, (Currently it is being hosted by the guys from the TV Show Phantom Gourmet hosted on the same station,) along with re-runs on Sunday mornings.
Don't forget the show that went between those two, "Filthy, Rich and Catflap". Only lasted for one season though. Rich was a failing tv actor, Filthy (same actor as Neil on The Young Ones) was his untrustworthy manager, and Ade played Catflap, who was basically the same character he played on Bottom just with a different name.
Some of my greatest memories growing up was watching The Three Stooges with my dad. Still quote them regularly to this day to people’s utter confusion. Glad to see this.
So speaking of old shows and trailer park boys, does anyone else think that Ricky and Lucy is a reference to "I love lucy"? And also I always thought the show was kind of and homage to The stooges. Like Julian's kinda the leader like Moe, I don't know what Ricky and Bubbles would be but I def get that vibe.
My favorite Stooges lineup was the Larry Moe and Shemp lineup because Shemp wasn't trying to copy Curly, he was doing his own thing that was a similar style and also I like that Larry was utilized more as opposed to just reacting to what Moe would do to Curly or to him - would sometimes have some funny lines between him and Shemp and so forth. I surprisingly liked the 2011 movie and was worried it was going to be bad because of the Jersey Shore aspect, but it was enjoyable the only thing it could have had in it that was missing was a big pie fight
15:30 Little bit of trivia.. When moe fell through the table he actually took a much nastier spill than they planned for. He actually broke a couple ribs from how hard he landed, but finished the scene ( if you pay attention, you can see he really landed hard, and they did cut not long afterwards, but if you watch that episode, when he's getting up right after the fall you can tell he's in a lot of pain and trying to hide it for a few seconds before they cut the shot.)
Always loved the Stooges. Used to watch them on weekends when I would go visit my Dad. Also for New Year's along with Twilight Zone. The movies were ok but not the same without Curly or Shemp. Can't forget about Swinging the Alphabet and the Curly Shuffle songs as well!
Dude, James. I'm with you about the Three Stooges remake! Me and my dad went to go see it, completely expecting it to suck. But boy were we surprised. I loved how they didn't try to hip up or anything the Stooges, but just put them into modern day.
Marc guy they all were perfect! and I'm very critical. perfect look, perfect movements and perfect voices...wow! wish they made sequels. at least we got the one movie.
I heard they originally wanted Jim Carrey for Curly. So glad they went with Will instead, he was great. There was also a made-for-TV documentary about the stooges in 2000. Michael Chiklis played Curly and he was perfect.
I love Malice in The Palace Larry is so hilarious as the chef , when the customers think that he served them cat and dog 😂 "So you are the perpetrator!?" 😂🤣😂🤣
I loved watching the Stooges VHS collections when I was growing up in the 90s. Thanks for covering them in such detail James and helping to keep their legacy alive.
Thanks for these guys. I am an 80's baby and grew up watching them with my dad and grandpa. Loved them now and loved them then. They are all on prime in color if anyone want to enjoy them again. Keep up the rental videos i enjoy them guys.
Racial stereotypes ARE funny though. Blacks can laugh at whites, whites can laugh at mexicans, irish can laugh at italians, germans can laugh at polish people. It's really not a big deal. Comedy is about burning sacred cows, not tiptoeing around them and shuddering at their mention. Just pretending we don't have differences won't make anything better.

Dead on Time Expect the original three stooges aren't in the movie because the stooges in the movie is the second version of the group Moe,Larry, and Curly.
Special shout-out to The Stoogeum, near Philadelphia. It's a private museum dedicated to the Stooges. Shows their whole history!
Thanks for shouting out Philly guys. It’s my home town and Larry Fine is beloved in our town
I've been a Stooges fan all my life. My favorite episode is definitely Brideless Groom. That whole thing was nonstop laughter. Something I've always done is whenever something happens and it's obvious what it was, I'll say "What happened?" just to fuck with people. LOL. That's a good one.
There was also a made for TV movie with Michael Chiklis back in 2000. He was an amazing Curly.
Mel Gibson, who's a fan, produced that movie.
My grandpa doesn't like the 3 Stooges , but he acts basically just like Moe
Oh, a wise guy, eh?
Sounds like you're a victim of circumstance. Er, I mean: "Coycumstance".
Irony FTW! ;P
why i outta
Well, my best guess is that he hates it because people keep comparing him to Moe then.
Can we get a video covering Laurel and Hardy? I grew up watching the Stooges and Laurel and Hardy. 😀
Favorite lines are Curly doing the "ooooh mammy" rhyme and dance....and "I reckon this must be the place I reckon"
That second one I use in conversation waaaay too often.
Three Stooges Even 50,000 Years Later Will Still Be Entertaining To Watch In My Opinion! lol
"truth is stranger than fiction, Judgy Wudgy." Nyuck nyuck nyuck
Well it was like this Mr court!
Address the judge as your honor!
Well it was like this my honor!
Your honor not my honor!
Why not don't you like him?
I recommend checking out this obscure movie called "Stoogemania". Also with the Kook's Tour (and please correct me if I am wrong) Larry suffered a stroke while they were filming it and either got a stand in or just finished the film without Larry.
“Spook Louder” is my all time favorite. I love showing my son episodes and keeping their legacy ongoing. Shows like this will eventually die if we don’t show and educate our sons and daughters.
Dear James and the Cinemassacre crew,
Since you just did The Three Stooges (awesome video by the way), I would love to hear your take on Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, their works, and which one y'all personally prefer!
And also Abbott and Costello
I've heard very good things about Charlie Chaplan. Would you mind to explain what makes his films good? Also do you have any recommendations?
By the way, does anyone know if that huge flight of stairs used in AN ACHE IN EVERY STAKE is the same one used in Laurel and Hardy's THE MUSIC BOX?
As well as The Marx Brothers!
@@jasonjohnson3290 it's actually not, but they are very similar and only 2km away from each other.
Malice in the Palace is one of my favorites. When they thought they were eating the cat and dog.
I tell you, you smoke a little pot, theeeen you put on any episode with curly in it and DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!! greatest entertainment ever!
Bottom and the Young Ones (Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson) has a lot of cartoonish physical comedy like the Stooges.
Kelsey Kachnic agreed 👍🏻
the young ones was great!
@@WildBluntHickok Rik Mayall also played alan b'stard on the new statesman 😆😆😆
I like the episode where vyvan's head was taken off!
Some of my greatest memories growing up was watching The Three Stooges with my dad. Still quote them regularly to this day to people’s utter confusion. Glad to see this.
Nate Walking same exact experience and memories
This was a great video. I'd love to see you guys do something on Mel Brooks :D
We still have the New Year's Eve marathon every year in Massachusetts.
YES! Trailer Park Boys! James has to watch it.
I second that! Great show
So speaking of old shows and trailer park boys, does anyone else think that Ricky and Lucy is a reference to "I love lucy"? And also I always thought the show was kind of and homage to The stooges. Like Julian's kinda the leader like Moe, I don't know what Ricky and Bubbles would be but I def get that vibe.
I've been wanting him to watch the boys and the Fubar movies for a long time now.
yeah i could see the other guys talking and james wasnt really saying anything, trailer park boys rocks
get two birds stoned at once
My favorite Stooges lineup was the Larry Moe and Shemp lineup because Shemp wasn't trying to copy Curly, he was doing his own thing that was a similar style and also I like that Larry was utilized more as opposed to just reacting to what Moe would do to Curly or to him - would sometimes have some funny lines between him and Shemp and so forth. I surprisingly liked the 2011 movie and was worried it was going to be bad because of the Jersey Shore aspect, but it was enjoyable the only thing it could have had in it that was missing was a big pie fight
i love the Stooges. wish you guys discussed the really wacky special effects of their day. that guy getting uppercutted lol
Great video. Any chance of an Laurel & Hardy retrospective?
Always loved the Stooges. Used to watch them on weekends when I would go visit my Dad. Also for New Year's along with Twilight Zone. The movies were ok but not the same without Curly or Shemp. Can't forget about Swinging the Alphabet and the Curly Shuffle songs as well!
Also the ice delivery one must be a tribute to the superior 1932 Laurel and Hardy episode "The music box" Highly recommended!!
Both shorts were filmed close to my neighborhood. Staircases are still there.
I find it strange that Curly Howard, Larry Fine and Charlie Chaplin, all comedians from the same era, all died of strokes.
This was the perfect vid to watch on a Sunday afternoon.
I've always loved the Three Stooges and specially their non-sensical endings I always said "WTF" at the end. That was pure gold
Dude, James. I'm with you about the Three Stooges remake!
Me and my dad went to go see it, completely expecting it to suck. But boy were we surprised.
I loved how they didn't try to hip up or anything the Stooges, but just put them into modern day.
Will Sasso was perfect in the reboot!!
@@BigAL68xyz I remember that one. It was some type of docudrama. Michael Chiklis did host an anniversary documentary about the Stooges.
I love Malice in The Palace
Larry is so hilarious as the chef , when the customers think that he served them cat and dog 😂
"So you are the perpetrator!?"
😂🤣😂🤣
Oh Yeah I Love the Three Stooges ,Good Choice Woob ,Woob Woob ,Ruff Ruff Ruff,Nyuk ,Nyuk

🔥 AVGN forever ! 🔥
I loved watching the Stooges VHS collections when I was growing up in the 90s. Thanks for covering them in such detail James and helping to keep their legacy alive.
My childhood back in the 90's and it has dvd box collection too which I own and is kinda worth it
Thanks for these guys. I am an 80's baby and grew up watching them with my dad and grandpa. Loved them now and loved them then. They are all on prime in color if anyone want to enjoy them again. Keep up the rental videos i enjoy them guys.
Me and my dad used to watch the midnight Marathon during New Year's on TNT
Shemp always cracked me up with his wordplay.
"Gargle with old razorblades" 🤣
Racial stereotypes ARE funny though. Blacks can laugh at whites, whites can laugh at mexicans, irish can laugh at italians, germans can laugh at polish people. It's really not a big deal. Comedy is about burning sacred cows, not tiptoeing around them and shuddering at their mention. Just pretending we don't have differences won't make anything better.
I agree 100%
The only Golden Age comedy that holds up as good as the Stooges to this day is the original library of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies films.
The Three Stooges were what inspired The Beastie Boys.
Absolute units. So much of my childhood was spent on these guys. Curly was always my favorite
One of the best Cinemassacre reviews yet. Hilarious!
I love chowderhead.
