I’m trying to imagine this movie with Steve Harvey instead of Richard Dawson. The only thing I can see is him shaking his head every time someone dies and saying “This show is goin to hell”.
My pain is sharp and constant... My reflection is no connection to myself... I do not wish for a better world for anyone... I want to inflict my pain on to others... This realization has not brought me any closer to understanding myself... As I drink the devil's piss I can hear him laughing as he spreads his wings...
Speaking of Arnold movies, I was watching Terminator 2 which I haven't seen in decades, and at the end of the credits it says: PLAY THE HIT NINTENDO GAME BY ACCLAIM/LJN I thought "how about no?"
If Sarah and John would see this future (or that of Hunger games) they would regret having canceled the one with the rebel machines. Better being almost exterminated than becoming a bunch of murderous hypocrities.
It's likely because behind the year 2000,2020 was the next most-likely candidate for "end times". No way. T2 is the best. Robert Patrick as the T-1000 is a far more sinister antagonist, Sarah Connor becomes a psychotic badass, and it even has depth from start to finish, like Sarah commenting on John's relationship to the Terminator and learning the value of human life. The only bad part is the sappy line from Arnie about why people cry. Great movie from start to finish.
Agreed. He was so likable on Family Feud, that it was surreal yet appropriate to put him in this anti-verse approximation of himself. For similar reasons, if they ever do a remake of this, I think they should get Ellen Degeneres. Her Game of Games already has a pretty sadistic element to it, just without the death and murder. Or so we're meant to think....
Some of my favourite parts are Captain Freedom trying to tell us a great story from his time on the Running man, and Killian just cuts him off every time.
Like when Killian asks that old lady in the audience who her favourite athlete is and she says 'Ben Richards' and they're all like 'you can only pick a Stalker', and she's like 'well I'm picking Richards, he's one mean mother fucker' hahah and everyone's shocked cos it's an old lady swearing, hahah.
It is a good movie and if you watch the making of it tells you he had to get use to the guy he was fighting. The movie release date almost got pushed back because of it.
Yeah the 80's Sci-Fi dystopia movies about police states, and evil corporations were great fun until you realize they were not really Sci-Fi. Just social commentary.
God I love the running man, I watch it any time it is on TV, and watch it on firestick atleast 2-3 times a year. It's a timeless classic with Arnold at his absolute best in my opinion.
At about 1 hour 20 into the movie when Killian is talking to the guys in the control room, read the credit on the tv screen behind him! Things like: Make Up by Paint Your Face, Art Director by Red G Bleu and Primary Colors, Music by Do Ray Me.
adgato75 they were great books. The long walk was excellent. Need to find my copy and read it again. The Running Man was also great. Much better than the movie.
I love how "Gorgeous" is running (hah) in the background. Now imagine that... if Jackie Chan had ever done some kind of version of "The Running Man"... now THAT would have been BEYOND amazing. :)
It really amazes me that after seeing this movie reviewed by so many people, never has it been mentioned that the tv commercial for the running man screened in the movie is made up completely of scenes from the actual movie that all happen after the commercial is played in the movie. I hope that made sense =)
It's some sort of compilation. There is the Street Fighter scene from City Hunter and the bike scene near the end is from Project A. There was a special that was on Cinemax many, many years ago that I don't remember the name of. It talked about various martial artist actors like Cynthia Rothrock, Jackie Chan, and Sammo Hung. It might be that.
funny thing about that helicopter footage is, at least some of it was from the 76 remake of King Kong and deleted helicopter footage from King Kong (1976).
Did you know that helicopter scene actually happened in real life. A guy shot a bunch of people by helicopter and wasn't told til after that they were civilians. He rallied against the government and got harassed for it.

I can't believe they didn't cover the greatest line in cinema history.
Ben Richards: "Killian, I'll be back."
Damon Killian: "Only in a rerun."
Ya beat me. Yup, best comeback ever. Only one can beat Arnold at one liners.
I told Killian I'll be back. I don't want to be a liar. Then he killed Damon's ass.
That's not the best line. The best line is when the nice little old lady calls Ben Richards a motherf****r without batting an eyelash.
That movie has weapons grade puns.
“What happened to Buzzsaw?”
“He had to split.”
HHHNNNNGGGGG

"Hey Lighthead, hey Christmas tree!" This movie is comedy gold from start to finish, Arnold has something to say to each villain before & after.
I’m trying to imagine this movie with Steve Harvey instead of Richard Dawson. The only thing I can see is him shaking his head every time someone dies and saying “This show is goin to hell”.

No one puts forth the effort that Cinemassacre does into working in their product placements. A+ for style, humor, and design.
Make Rental Reviews Great Again! We want all 4 every time!
Jackie Chan's 'Gorgeous' is playing on the TV in the background.
I love that movie.
Cinemassacre should do a Jackie Chan episode.
Great Jackie Chan movie. Also... Shu Qi..... mmmmmmmmm
There is a uk show called Release the Hounds, similar to climbing for dollars :)
eleven38 that’s it...I was trying to remember its name, thank you.
Hosted by Montgomery Burns? :P
Was looking for this before i commented
*But seriously I preferred rental reviews with 4 people :(*
Man your guys' production value just keeps going up and up. I love it and keep it up!
Climbing for Dollars was taken from the old tv show Bowling for Dollars
OMG, I just saw a clip that made me realize Charlie's mom from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is in Running Man. Confirmed on IMDB. Charlie's mom really does get around..
"See sub-zero now plain zero" - I used that line everytime I played mortal kombat and beat sub-zero. (I saw the movie before the arcade original Mortal Kombat came out) Very few people got the reference.
i think you'll like that the Terminator in MK11 references it!
jacqui: is it true that sub zero is now plain zero?
terminator: i completed my mission
jacqui: damn...
I highly recommend the book. It's a great satire and one of Stephen King's best. It's a very simple and relatively quick read.
The beginning of that movie was a dystopian prediction of where we would be 1 year later
I loved seeing Klayton Fioriti say he feels betrayed about him liking JP3.
Nobody mentioned that this was a Steven King adaptation
The book is actually good
Just watched this on Amazon Prime the other night, classic mid 80s action.
Stephen King = Richard Bachman = The Running Man
Damian Frost I mean.. this movie is a far cry from that book. The similarities start and end at “murder game show”
@@Yoshimitsu4prez thanks for the reply and pointing out the differences between the story and the movie. I was just pointing out that the story was based on a story by Stephen King.
Boys can you do a Last Boy Scout review? Totally underrated Bruce Willis flick.
And then some
I love that movie :D
Yes! I haven’t heard that movie mentioned in years. Saw it in the theater opening night, awesome movie!
Running man was my favorite Arnold movie of all time
You guys gotta do an episode on "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit"
