I bought the ccm pros, i took a shot off the hard area and i am bruised with big welt/bruise. After swtiching out of the x4 pro. Welp. Lets say im back in warrior
I went from the 1x to the elites so I totally feel your pain (sometimes literally) on the plate. I've always worn mcdavid hex knee sleeves under them and have now moved back to the old supremes.so far, so good!
I made my own as I couldn’t find a pair that didn’t suck and wasn’t going to break the bank on a pair of the RXS Cut apart a pair of Easton 85s player shin pads keeping the inner liner and the hard plastic knee shell Added the top thigh portion from a pair of Bauer 37.5 Supreme’s They are super comfortable and don’t move around on my knee and also don’t require suspenders Leg pad rotates without issue
Dont think I will ever leave the 1x, i have bought two brand new sets of sideline swap/ebay to keep in reserve haha I wear a custom belt to hold them wear they need to stay so i dont land on the curve plate, I also bake my in the oven to mold the curve to make them smaller profile. BUT, these were my go to knee pads for a long time. I bought the newer Elites and got a wicked knee injury taking a shot that felt like it completely missed any protection. The new ccm pads have harder knee blocks then what i am use to in True, and now my knees are getting bruised from landing. might have to glue in extra gel pads or something. LIterally cant stand any other knee pad tho.
I have the Bauer Pro knees now and I've felt that impact you're talking about. They're pretty lousy knee pads. The lower piece digs into my shins pretty badly, too.
Looks like we've been on the same journey, I've settled on the warrior pro plus ones as well, which seems to be working well

Been wanting to buy PAW knee guards. Can’t wait to see the review.
Looking forward to these reviews!
Having a lot of trouble finding the “right” kneepads for me….

Ahhh, have you used suspenders?
what you think about the Brian’s ones? have seen a lot of nhlers wearing them although they haven’t changed the pad in years
Those are basically the pair that I have never tried on... so can't say!
What do you think about bauer pro?
I bought ccm kp 1.9, worst knee ever…
I miss my brains knee
The Bauers are the same design of the Supreme ones I mentioned in this video. They have a protection gap behind the plate.
