Thank you so much for being awesome to work with and for building me this killer cab. Can't wait to crank it! For those thinking of getting a Zilla cab, I can definitely recommend them.
Hey Paul, I'm glad you've decided to bring back the cab of the week. I can't wait to see more. Kudos on the Ramones hoodie by the way. Hang tough and riff hard!🤘🤘
I personally love to see insides of your cabinets. This vertical 4x12 is so awesome. Especially with kick back casters and handles. Person who never transported 4x12 can’t even imagine how hard it is sometimes. All you need her is tilt the cabinet and pull it. Brilliant! I can imagine 3D projection in room is huge. Yesterday I went with a friend for a amplifier testing day in rehearsal room. All I can fit in car was 3 heads, two 1x12 cabs, two guitars and two bags with pedal boards and cables and such. Even if I fold down my rear seats I think there is no space for classics 4x12. This one is more narrow it seems. Might fit more cars.
Dave Green told me to try those speakers and i never looked back. they are out there in 16 ohm but you have to look in the right places.. i got a full 4 x 12 of em and another 4 x 12 with G12H reds pair and a pair of K100s.
Curious the dimensions of this configuration, I think it's cool. Is it true that if you series different drivers it affects their frequency response because the signal is going through different impedances, when if you series the matching pair and parallel the two matched series pairs, the frequency response is correct? I think it works out, I should know as a union trained electrician, but I can't remember the equations lol
Series and parallel will work slightly different when mixing speakers but in practise I wouldn't worry too much about it. Sometimes guitar speakers can be overthought a little, they are so non-linear as it is it can be like up grading the gear box oil but using the wrong type of tyres ;)
Generally they are easier to transport, especially with the kick back casters/handles, and the head is closer to you head, so is the top speaker.... For some people they are a better solution but they don't reinvent the wheel if that makes sense.
hello speaker men of the internettywebthing... if I ordered a cab ... could you ship it to Norway?? and what choices in cabs, lining, colours etc ? I'm in the market now... for a 2 x 12 standing cab, sloped top , cream backs high-power versions. something matching a 'dark knight' coloured superstrat (current model) . maybe a printed cab front cover ? like the Marshall artist jvm series . ? black cabs are boring, white ones look like shhhh after some time. pimp my cab . .... guitar hanger/ stand on the left side ? glue a 2x4 piece on the inside, pre drill , and screw in a hanger ... hooks on the left for cables ? (home edition) space saving multi use all in one type thing . HSH pro 2 , not sure about the weight but it should be considered ss it doesn't tip over .
speaker men, I'll take that haha. We can ship to Norway no problem. We don;t charge you UK VAT but you'd have to pay some Norwegian VAT when the cab enters Norway. it's pretty easy though, the courier will sort that. If you head to the website we've got a cab configurator so you can build your ideal cab on that. For you you'll probably want to choose the EU icon in the top right as it will show the price without UK VAT. Shipping to Norway does generally cost £12-£30 more in shipping depending on where you are. I hope this helps... send us an email if you have any questions. Paul.
@@ZillaCabs thanks.. shopping for amps at the moment .. liking the supersonic 22. I need the amp first to figure out which cab n elements . v30s in the supersonic lacks a little of the Creamback sound, imo... and you need to do an type Artist series. !! (motive printed front cover) . ...
Is this cab of the week? Or is it What's on the Bench? It's a new format and we aren't sure! Let us know what you think below!
Whatever you call it, watching you building the cab is always interesting for cab nerds 🤓
Love it, please showcase a diagonal 2x12

Thanks mate that's really kind of you, it was a pleasure to make. I think it should arrive today right?
@@ZillaCabs It hasn't made its way across the pond yet - soon, though! :)
I love that Zilla is ALWAYS trying new things with their designs!
Thanks mate. I really appreciate it.
Great video, Paul. I think it's great that you are bringing back the "Cab of the Week".
Thanks mate

Which do you prefer, four K100s or the mix?

@@ZillaCabs How wide is that vertical 4x12? It's a cool idea.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of a vertical 4x12 vs a regular 4x12?

I hope I win the giveaway, because I want one of your cabs, but I can't afford to buy it right now 😅
Good luck mate, only a few weeks to go until we chose a winner.
