It's not righteous. This is fear of failure turned into anger. This is the theme that plays when hope seemingly dies. Luke can not kill his father, but with his mind clouded by the dark side, he hates him more than anything.
I love this song. It shows the inner conflict of Luke Skywalker in him overcoming it. It perfectly portrays him resisting the dark side and staying a hero. It also shows how Luke is willing to fight to keep Leia from the dark side.
I've always interpreted the haunting background choir as a million jedi of yore lamenting and grieving as the last one of their kind was about to give in to the Dark Side forever.

And before that, if I wanted to listen to this track I'd reel through the recorded film I had to this scene, back when 2014 was a futuristic sounding date not soon in the future.
This is incorrect. This cue has never been played in D minor in any cut of the film. A quick viewing of any theatrical film print (such as 4K83) immediately debunks this ridiculous theory.
Its frightening, determined, heroic, powerful, righteous fury. All captured in this piece.

Vader is literally Luke's Shadow self. What one is capable of, the other is as well.

A Jedi's Fury on my top 10 favorite list of songs _ever_ . It's really special because it's only played once yet is still so powerful.
thats not the name of this song
@@gerbinson It is
@@gerbinson Yes it is. This section is called that.
That few seconds of the song playing........I saw/heard Return of the Jedi original in the theater as a kid.......never forgot it. Powerful

Sounds different than the rest but brilliant!
This was how it played in the 1983 premiere, originally it was written a whole step lower
@@davidrodrick2109 I honestly prefer this version then the one they use now you can feel the tension in the music
Already 8 years old, 2014 is that long ago!
10 years now...

How to set it on rightnote
This was actually the right note. In the 1983 premiere, a Jedi's fury was played in this key.

Doubt the new trilogy will do anything right, as its failed the past two

Jordans Advice, it didn’t fail with TFA. TFA was awesome and so was TROS. TLJ was ok but not great
