- Crispy Garlic Butter Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients
For this recipe I used the following;
16 small potatoes (you can use yellow or white potatoes)
Salt and pepper for seasoning
1/2 cup of garlic butter (add more melted butter if needed)
Boil Pototoes in pot of water for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are almost cooked through. Use a knife or fork to insert in the potato at the 15 minute mark to ensure they are “almost” cooked through.
Remove the potatoes and place in a strainer
On a baking tray with parchment paper, line the potatoes, leaving 2-3 inches apart on the tray.
Using a cup with flat bottom, press down slightly on the potato to get the smashed potatoes effect
Season the potatoes with salt and black pepper
Brush on the melted garlic butter
Place in oven at 425F f
Remove Potatoes from oven after the 25 minutes and flip the them over to season the other side with salt and pepper and brush on more garlic butter
Place back in oven for 12 minutes to get the crispy and golden brown potato

Para esta receita usei o seguinte;

Sal e pimenta preta para temperar
1/2 xícara de manteiga de alho (adicione mais manteiga derretida se necessário)
Ferva as batatas em uma panela com água por aproximadamente 15-20 minutos ou até que estejam quase cozidas. Use uma faca ou garfo para inserir a batata na marca de 15 minutos para garantir que estejam “quase” cozidas.
Retire as batatas e coloque em uma peneira
Em uma assadeira com papel manteiga por as batatas, deixando 5 a 7 centímetros de distância na assadeira.
Usando um copo com fundo plano, pressione levemente a batata para obter o efeito de batata esmagada
Tempere as batatas com sal e pimenta preta
Pincele a manteiga de alho derretida
Leve ao forno a 425F por 25 minutos
Retire as batatas do forno após 25 minutos e vire-as para temperar o outro lado com sal e pimenta e pincele com mais manteiga de alho.
Leve novamente ao forno por 12 minutos para obter a batata crocante e dourada
