It isn't so much because the film was controversial now so much as it was controversial then, and a VERY stupid idea to theme a ride to in the late 80's. The time to have released it us long passed. There already is a (quite nice) complete series box set of Gravity Falls on DVD and Blu-ray. It came out years ago and was licensed through Shout Factory since Disney themselves knew (and probably didn't care) that they weren't capable of producing such a nice set.
So would I, along with its Halloween sequel, either together or as separate combo packs! The Halloween sequel remains one of my all-time favorite Halloween classics to this day, especially after the facts it was John Fiedler's last Pooh movie before his passing (he played Rudy the old man in Kronk's New Groove which came exactly 3 months later, which'd be Fiedler's real final project), it contains Boo To You Too remastered and somewhat revised in it, it'd be the last Pooh VHS in the USA, and it'd be Disneytoon Studios' last Pooh feature film!
finally it's about time I've been waiting for that long time coming I can't wait to get there when it comes out all that is so good and best of all I'm finally going to get the Mickey Mouse hat that I've been waiting for that for so long time also $1,500 WHYYYYYYYYY
Imagine the Uk and Australia versions and how are they gonna replace dinosaur, winnie the pooh (2011) and the theatrical sequels??? With brave little toaster, valiant, The Wild, Phineas and ferb across the second dimension, strange magic, and chip n dale rescue rangers
There won’t be an Australian version considering Disney aren’t releasing discs here now. I’d be very surprised if this was released in the UK, and if it was, it would likely be exactly the same.
What about the Disney Legacy Princess Blu-ray Box Set? I might possibly see another Blu-ray release of The Princess Diaries (2001) rather than the original 2-Movie collection Blu-ray release, the original THX certified DVD release and the VHS release. 1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) 2. Cinderella (1950) 3. Sleeping Beauty (1959) 4. The Little Mermaid (1989) 5. Beauty and the Beast (1991) 6. Aladdin (1992) 7. Pocahontas (1995) 8. Mulan (1998) 9. The Princess Diaries (2001) 10. Enchanted (2007) 11. The Princess and the Frog (2009) 12. Princess Protection Program (2009) 13. Tangled (2010) 14. Brave (2012) 15. Frozen (2013) 16. Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
I’m definitely getting this! Something worth noting is that the movies appear to be in chronological order in the set, and with that being said I think some of the “2 movie collections” will have their own discs which is how I prefer it. The Hunchback of Notre Dame has never been on Blu Ray without the second one, and there are a few other movies like that as well. I also like the theatrical posters and disc art.
There’s 100 movies. It’s clearly an error on the digital mock-up. The set includes every single movie from WDA, Pixar, plus the extras - as seen on the full list like 2 minutes later in the video.
$1,500 dollars is a joke though. The crystal mickey clearly makes up a 10th of this eye-watering amount. the first rendition of the old set doesn't even come remarkably close to this figure even 2nd hand and only misses 7 movies. if every single film here is getting a full Blu-ray remaster then ok it's an upgrade on this previous set Otherwise might as well try and get your hands on the old and buy the remaining 7 separately.
I love the idea of buying this set... but I have a majority of these movies already and the ones I don't... I only don't cause I didn't get around to buying some of the DMC exclusive ones.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder Maybe 85% stop motion, they do have some live action with the real life boy and the horrifying aunts. (But yeah it's definitely less live action than Mary Poppins or So Dear to My Heart)
I don't think I would get this set due to the fact some of these films were probably altered from it's original versions. Especially Toy Story 2 Stinky Pete blooper with the Barbie dolls.
All the DisneyToon movies you mentioned were released in theaters. That’s why they were included and not more beloved films like search for Christopher Robin or Extremely Goofy Movie
As for separate releases, I've seen an early announcement this year that some of the titles *may* get re-releases/repackagings this fall like The Fox and the Hound.
I doubt Goofy Movie is one of them, but it would be nice for that Blu-Ray to get a standalone retail release. I want to upgrade from the original VHS tape
@@SparkzEnt That's one of a few I don't yet have on Blu-ray. Until it is released to retailers on Blu-ray the DVD release I have will suffice. Same for "An Extremely Goofy Movie". I could get both off eBay right now for $28 each, but that's too much for me, personally. I'd rather wait it out and hope to support a retail release.
This is something I despise about the us they always seem to get the bigger and better film release. They always with out fail get every film released on bluray and even get a digital copy with every release and now they are getting this set witch makes the uk Disney box set look pretty shit competed to this beautiful set. I just don’t understand why the US always gets the better releases every time 😏.
Because these are American movies, put out by the American studio. There’s also a much larger market for this stuff in America. That said, I could name hundreds of movies that got a Blu-ray release in the UK but not in America.
Part of me wants this collection because I like Disney only just enough that I’d be willing to buy a big collection of all their films and browse what’s available. But for $1,500 that thing had better come with every theatrical AND direct to dvd animated film as well as the animated tv shows and short film library. Heck, throw in the live action ones too. $1,500 for just 100 movies and a Crystal Mickey Hat, rip off. Do you know how much rent money that is?
It looks great. I already own most of them (I’m just missing Fun and Fancy Free in the Walt Disney Animation Studios side of things). I think I’ll pass on it, not so sure about that price tag though $1500 is waay out of my budget.
Just to be pedantic I wanna point out a few of these titles are Live Action Hybrids, like Saludos Amigos, Dinosaur, and James and the Giant Peach! Also I wonder if anyone's going to miss the box office failure yet critical darling, Teacher's Pet: The Movie!
I already own most if not all the movies in the set, if they released it at a lower price I may have been interested in it, to upgrade the DVDs I own to Blu Ray. However I am not going to pay $1500.00 US that is over $2000.00 Cnd, for things I already own.
I own the older box set and enjoy it very much despite having to use a region free player here in the US. I’ll be passing on this bc I try to avoid giving Disney money anymore.
Since aren't releasing physical media in Australia anymore... which really sucks... I might have to find a way to get this from the US I guess. I don't have any of them and it would be a nice way to get them all
The only reason this was published, is because Disney+ has been a big disappointment. And this has possibly been the worst year financially for Disney. Good for Collectors, but this is not a “fan service” this is Disney desperately needing more money.
Right ! These are only the animations of Disney’s timeline. Song of the South which we own was what Walt’s personal view of his life at the time. Note a lot not a lot of animation what everyone remembered was the songs and the battle between the bear and the fox . No dude no free ones for you this time your going to have to buy it like everyone else . This will not just be at Wally world but in every other store get your facts straight! 🎞️Unbelievable!
Not sure what your problem is here or what your problem is with me. This will not be in every store it will only be available at Walmart.com. Those are the straight facts. I also won’t be buying it as I do not need it. Unbelievable!
One could hope these are unedited original versions of the films, but knowing modern Disney, Fantasia will be scrubbed and LILO & Stitch will have new animation.
😢😢😢 well I put in my pre-order.... Only because I love physical media. I always felt as if I do not own it unless I can hold it in my hands...... This is an investment then I will be passing down to my kids
It's good price for everything that you get. I'll buy it if I can come with the money. I'm glad to see they still see a market for physical media despite pulling out of Australia which made me nervous but this slew of recent physical media announcements has me excited and optimistic for the future for the US anyways that still has huge niche collectors market for physical media that they realize they can still make money off of. I respect them for this.
Really? They couldn't put DuckTales The Movie on there? I know a Blu-Ray doesn't exist, but it deserved more than Pooh's Heffalump Movie or even Jungle Book 2.
Like literally, Buena Vista Home Video are selling this for $1,500. I mean, wow this looks so cool but no one will even by this! Though I will save up my cash for this box set!
i dont get something disney said back in spring that there physical media days are comin to end now they are doin mmore stuff tell me this isnt sign of desperation
If you actually look at the list you'll see that each of these films, including the "random" ones, were all actually released in theaters, so the odd sequels make sense. I'm just happy "the wild" wasn't included. They actually could've swapped out the sequels for the live action animation classics but it's fine. They probably would release a separate collection with the live actions. I would love a collection that would include 20,000 leagues, Poppins, Swiss family Robinson, so dear to my heart, Pete's dragon, and many more. I would also want them to re-release the treasures boxsets. The shorts and disneyland material were always a gold mine of animation history. I wish it wasn't so overpriced. Funny enough I already own the entire list excluding heffalump on blu-ray LOL
The die-hard fans are going to snap it up for the crystal Mickey ears alone. Otherwise, I can't imagine being a Disney fan and not owning ANY of these films so there would be a reason to purchase this HUGE set -- despite that horse-choking price point. Instead of all that extra "padding, I would have liked to have seen a Disney Legacy Set that includes the Major Animated sets (including Pixar), as well as major live-action films like Mary Poppins, Old Yeller, 20k Leagues Under the Sea, etc...the films that truly made Disney the Premier company it once was.
Honestly I would’ve preferred if they just reissued that Walt Treasures Premium Collection Box-Set… Disney fans would’ve ABSOLUTELY GONE NUTS for that, and I would’ve bought that regardless of the price.
Any insight as to why this set doesn't include the 4K versions of the films? Likewise, will this set include the newly remastered versions of Cinderella and/or Snow White?
This set would be GIGANTIC if it were to include the discs in plastic cases. This collection individually takes up 4 shelves of my collection alone. I don’t think this could have really been done any other way. Even a digipack would’ve been massive. No 4Ks.
I think that as they want to put as much stuff out there into the wild so to speak they thought a quick what can we put together to make a giant boz set collection and just threw together random movies that they hope will please fhe masses and then set it free
I bought the 57 movie bluray set and slowly replaced the DVD only ones with the DMC blurays and replaced the 4K ones also got the pixar 4k box set jbhifi did which I think went up to onward so I can't justify importing this to Australia though the collector in me would love to just have it but I'll let this one go. Maybe the crystal mickey ears can be picked up from swarovski separately
I am so disappointed with the price... $1,500? Hell to the nah! Hell, WB's box sets for this year were better priced with the 4 sets combined is worth less than HALF of what this is worth! Sorry if I sound nitpicky, but I am being 100% honest. Most disappointing box set ever
Bit surprised the wild isnt apart of this, yeah i know disney only distributed it but in europe it is apart of the disney canon, while dinosaur is excluded

Imagine some Disney Blu-Ray and Disney DVD box sets for various Disney animated TV series like Gravity Falls and Amphibia and other shows!
Yeap, I would like see Gravity Falls DVD/blu-ray set in Europe and rest of seasons of Muppet Show.
There already is a (quite nice) complete series box set of Gravity Falls on DVD and Blu-ray. It came out years ago and was licensed through Shout Factory since Disney themselves knew (and probably didn't care) that they weren't capable of producing such a nice set.
I wanna see a Blu-Ray combo pack of the Heffalump movie with the Blu-Ray and DVD and digital code!
For future Cartoon Evolution videos please 🙏 do Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield the Cat, The Simpsons and more!
finally it's about time I've been waiting for that long time coming I can't wait to get there when it comes out all that is so good and best of all I'm finally going to get the Mickey Mouse hat that I've been waiting for that for so long time also $1,500 WHYYYYYYYYY
I’d be very surprised if this was released in the UK, and if it was, it would likely be exactly the same.
sweet! its a cardboard box set with a pop out stand that i I could fold myself, no special features, and no disc images! what a deal!!
What about the Disney Legacy Princess Blu-ray Box Set? I might possibly see another Blu-ray release of The Princess Diaries (2001) rather than the original 2-Movie collection Blu-ray release, the original THX certified DVD release and the VHS release.
1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
2. Cinderella (1950)
3. Sleeping Beauty (1959)
4. The Little Mermaid (1989)
5. Beauty and the Beast (1991)
6. Aladdin (1992)
7. Pocahontas (1995)
8. Mulan (1998)
9. The Princess Diaries (2001)
10. Enchanted (2007)
11. The Princess and the Frog (2009)
12. Princess Protection Program (2009)
13. Tangled (2010)
14. Brave (2012)
15. Frozen (2013)
16. Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Given the fact that Disney announced that they would no longer release any form of home media here in Australia it won’t be available to buy here
I would have put Pixar in a separate collection so more of the Disney Proper films in here.
LOVE AND ALGORITHM APPEASEMENT AND LOVE AND ALGORITHM APPEASEMENT AND LOVE! 💜🤠
Good for you . I also want to but man 1500$ is way too much. I could buy a lot of criterion movies for that
3:50 I found 8 movies listed twice. That's only 92 movies
There’s 100 movies. It’s clearly an error on the digital mock-up. The set includes every single movie from WDA, Pixar, plus the extras - as seen on the full list like 2 minutes later in the video.
I'm still waiting for seasons 21 onward if The Simpsons to be released on DVD
Unfortunately, I don’t believe we’ll ever see that happen.
Mickey Mouse: Money!! (Mickey Mouse laughs). 83
No 4k disc. Not worth.
I keep hearing dTV through this video.
Are you talking about the Music Video dTVs?
DTV - Direct to Video. It's short-hand for those made-for-video sequels.
I really wish that more animated movies get this type of treatment on physical media such as Universal Warner Bros Paramount Sony and more
Thanks for sharing 💖
Not gonna lie, when I read "exclusive movies" I was kinda hoping they'd finally release A Few Good Ghosts/My Peoples
I would have considered Mary Poppins if James and the Giant Peach is included
James and the Giant Peach is a stop-motion animated movie. It’s 100% animation.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder Maybe 85% stop motion, they do have some live action with the real life boy and the horrifying aunts. (But yeah it's definitely less live action than Mary Poppins or So Dear to My Heart)
@@DaveLeeDownUnder It might have some live-action portions…
I don't think I would get this set due to the fact some of these films were probably altered from it's original versions. Especially Toy Story 2 Stinky Pete blooper with the Barbie dolls.
All the DisneyToon movies you mentioned were released in theaters. That’s why they were included and not more beloved films like search for Christopher Robin or Extremely Goofy Movie
As for separate releases, I've seen an early announcement this year that some of the titles *may* get re-releases/repackagings this fall like The Fox and the Hound.
That would be nice.
If "The Fox And The Hound" is ever released on 4K UHD this would be one I would definitely upgrade. It's one of my favorite Disney classics.
With the current exchange rate, plus shipping and GST added, this will probably come in just under $3000 here in Australia.
The one omission that I feel actually makes sense is Roger Rabbit. As it never was under the Disney banner.
cheezus that must cost a fortune
As a mega Disney fan. THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
"Saludos Amigos" is an animated movie with a few live-action segments.
I can watch all those movies right now on DISNEY+
Physical is better than streaming 😊
Also, not every single one of these is on Disney Plus.
what is disney? I'm 19 and never heard of it before.
Good joke
@@DaveLeeDownUnder thank you thank you! It was good!
I don't have any of them and it would be a nice way to get them all
Its cool that they are also including the Pixar movies.
Honestly Great Collection To Celebrate 100 Years But $1500 Price Is Outrages & Worthless!
Really? They couldn't put DuckTales The Movie on there? I know a Blu-Ray doesn't exist, but it deserved more than Pooh's Heffalump Movie or even Jungle Book 2.
It’s listed first page of the list, second column third down
Like literally, Buena Vista Home Video are selling this for $1,500. I mean, wow this looks so cool but no one will even by this! Though I will save up my cash for this box set!
I really hope, they'll release this collection in Germany as well. I need this! But, I honestly don't think, that will be the case.
i dont get something disney said back in spring that there physical media days are comin to end now they are doin mmore stuff tell me this isnt sign of desperation
They never said that.
I need this
Not adding both goofy movies is a crime
Yes, I did mention this. Still a very odd mix of titles.
Why disney did not make a dvd box set for disney channel's 40th anniversary?
Honestly I would’ve preferred if they just reissued that Walt Treasures Premium Collection Box-Set… Disney fans would’ve ABSOLUTELY GONE NUTS for that, and I would’ve bought that regardless of the price.
That diseny set looks good.
That box set is so amazing!
From the looks of it Disney is redeeming itself to make up for the owl house ……. i’m perfectly fine with this and the box looks awesome
Any insight as to why this set doesn't include the 4K versions of the films? Likewise, will this set include the newly remastered versions of Cinderella and/or Snow White?
I’m guessing to keep the price down. Only thing I can think of. 4K also doesn’t sell very well at all, so this is probably more marketable.
It's a shame the discs slide out I know blurays are harder to scratch but they are still at risk of it. I assume none of these are 4K
This set would be GIGANTIC if it were to include the discs in plastic cases. This collection individually takes up 4 shelves of my collection alone. I don’t think this could have really been done any other way. Even a digipack would’ve been massive.
No 4Ks.
They could have done it like the 57 movie set still same packaging discs release directly up. Would have taken no extra space.
I think that as they want to put as much stuff out there into the wild so to speak they thought a quick what can we put together to make a giant boz set collection and just threw together random movies that they hope will please fhe masses and then set it free
With a price that high, no thanks...
Yikes, I'm gonna pass
I am so disappointed with the price... $1,500? Hell to the nah! Hell, WB's box sets for this year were better priced with the 4 sets combined is worth less than HALF of what this is worth! Sorry if I sound nitpicky, but I am being 100% honest. Most disappointing box set ever
Bit surprised the wild isnt apart of this, yeah i know disney only distributed it but in europe it is apart of the disney canon, while dinosaur is excluded
I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT MOVIE!!
Please make Disney100 all animated shorts in chronological order.
For that price, it damn better be the untouched original versions of the films.
It’s literally the same discs recycled again.
