    Yay so glad it worked! I've just started with a biofilm disruptor for 3.5 weeks before the neomycin/rifaxamin treatment and making sure I'm doing all I can. Fortunately my base was 11, high of 22 after 60min so hoping that one round solves the issue 🤞 thankful to have found your videos I will certainly keep a diary and stay aware of symptom changes (I never thought about stools floating being an issue 🤷🤔) so I very much appreciate your videos and process! :)

    Hi there! What about your symptoms post treatment? Bloating, constipation, skin and brain fog? Before clear passage, what supplements will you use everyday? Probiotic, prokenitic, IGg’s or peptide 157? I’ve been researching for a long time. Glad to find you and look forward to hearing from you:)

    • @ConfluenceNutrition
      @ConfluenceNutrition  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Kevin! I talk about my symptom changes in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ZocMJ9eZjgI/v-deo.html. And the Clear Passage folks want me to use rifaximin while I'm doing treatment to protect against anything that will be stirred up. So I will be using that plus neomycin, and biofilm buster (probably NAC, if I can still find it then), and the occasional binders if I feel bad (GI Detox is my favorite). I may use probiotics as well, though my ND has been recommending against. I sometimes use IgGs at a low dose, higher aggravates me, and I've never tried peptide 157.
      Thanks for watching!

    Hi, many thanks for your valuable videos. What is your usual diet? What kind of foods you eaten before, during and after treatment?

    • @ConfluenceNutrition
      @ConfluenceNutrition  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Stella, in short, my usual diet is the diet that minimizes my symptoms, and it's unique to me. My food triggers include some oxalate foods, some fodmap foods if eaten in too much quantity or frequency, and some histamine foods. I generally eat rice with meat and a veggie side at every meal, even breakfast. I didn't change my diet during treatment, but now that I've concluded it, I've been able to reintroduce some foods, and still have to try a few that would really make my life more convenient, like eggs. For you, it will be unique! This is the exact kind of things I help my students figure out inside my program. I spend a lot of time on this because it rarely fits neatly into one of the pre-made diet boxes. Thanks for watching!

    • @ConfluenceNutrition

      Hi David, you can definitely have both at the same time. Normally, we all have some amount of bacteria and yeasts like candida living in our gut, and the good guys should keep the bad guys in check. Treating SIBO (or anything else, for that matter) with antibiotics can lead to a candida/yeast overgrowth, and I was prescribed an antifungal after my SIBO treatment, which helped me feel even better. Hello again! I am on day 12 of my rifaximin treatment and it will be completed in 2 days. I had a horrible die-off reaction on day 7, since then using lots of supplements like l-glutamine, collagen, and zinc in case of a leaky gut situation. But my question is, should I take fluconazole (or any other antifungal agents) after my rifaximin treatment is done? I have both nail and scalp fungal issues since 2020, and I am worried about having an undiagnosed candida overgrowth. I heard about using 200 mg fluconazole for 21 days, do you think that this would be too harsh on my liver or you have used this or other antifungal medications already with no serious side effects? Thanks beforehand! :)

      Well, I can't really say if you should or shouldn't, but I can share that my ND recommended something similar for me after my previous treatment round, and I did it. I didn't notice too much direct change, but when I stopped, some symptoms got a little bit worse. And one thing I've noticed is that my joint pain is markedly better. I recently heard Dr. Ruscio answer a question about this in this podcast episode, I highly recommend listening to his answer, as his summarizes the research about this: drruscio.com/answers-on-oral-antifungal-medication-bismuth-thiols-curcumin-stomach-acid/ Thanks so much for your questions, and for watching!

      Hi DmvHut, glucose and lactulose tests have a similar accuracy. THe glucose test is slightly more accurate, but less accessible generally. I also normally use Vitamin D, magnesium citrate, P5P, melatonin, L-tryptophan, amino acids + lysine, and a few drops of iodine daily. And yes, I have struggled with constipation (with episodes of diarrhea) for years now. Since treatment, the constipation is much better. THanks for watching!
