My wife and I bought one after a salesman at John Lewis said he owned it. He gave an excellent demonstration on its benefits. Got home and got it working. So good we bought another one online for my son. As others have rightly stated this fan is very quiet. Perfect for the bedroom at night. Which my wife loves. Excellent video. Finally this is a very well designed fan. Look forward to purchasing the case cover!

It’s very rare these days for a company to have such love for a brand. Whomever I speak to rave about their Meaco products and have to say, it’s not just hype. Great fan, love my dehumidifier and whilst I’m more of a no instructions person, videos from manufacturers such as this can really help people that are more apprehensive of taking things apart. Keep it up Meaco

I did a lot of research into different fans and this is consistently recommended, I bought mine today and it’s been absolutely fantastic so far - it really cooled my living room down, And it’s extremely quiet. It looks smart and the oscillating functions are brilliant - as are the timer functions. My only regret is I didn’t buy directly from Meaco!.. going to have to go to the website and get one of those bags now! I also own a Dyson air cooler/purifier - another excellent product, and I really like the purified air function - it does definitely make the air feel fresher, but honestly, this meaco fan is quieter than my Dyson and although it might include a ‘purifier/filter’ it cools the room down even more effectively than my Dyson and although it is not cheap when compared the Dyson it is really excellent value for money 👍👍 Thank you for this informative video, its very useful seeing how to disassemble and clean the unit 👍

R C, fans and air circulators move air and that's all they do, they don't lower the temperature of the air in the room they just move it..period...and the air flow from these units makes the air feel cooler due to convection and evaporation not because the temperature of the air dropped.

Love the fan and don't say that lightly. Hugely useful for menopausal moments at night. Was the only fan I own (got about 5 other brands) my very longhaired cat would sit in front of in last year's heatwave - so quiet, she loved it and I felt comfortable that she couldn't get her paws or tail trapped in it due to the design. The timer function is an absolute boon. As is being able to open the back and clean it. Great design.

Thank you so much for showing how to take it apart. Mine was full of dust and I could not see how to take it apart to clean it. For anybody wondering if this is the best fan to buy, yes it is. I have had many fans over the year and this is by far the best. It is also the most silent and does not affect me sleeping if I use it at night. A God send for anybody suffering with night sweats.

Got one last year, now have two 1056's, the tower one and one of the rechargeable ones too.
All are bloody impressive and move tons of air with very little noise (the rechargeable one is shockingly good VFM).
If anything they're a bit quiet! You need a 'noisy mode' for tinnitus sufferers that have them on to sleep.. 😂
I took the second 1056 front cover off and adapted it to accept a 6" AC hose to use as forced air extraction for my studio. Much better and far quieter than hydroponics fans I'd been using. Warranty be damned.. 😅

Hi! Just got your fan today as i wanted to buy it before it will get hot again, and i am extremely pleased with it’s design and overall performance! I hope we could see upgraded version in future with: 1) Smart function so i can use phone to operate the fan. 2) Option for tilt down in case fan is placed higher. 3) Remote control to be upgraded so it’s no IR anymore, and a small display or other solution to read from remote what modes are on etc, so there is no need to check it on the fan. 4) The pedastal version to be twice the current height ( i wanted to get one but found it to be too short for me) 5) This one is a bit extreme but if you could develop built in air purifier like some other leading brands this unit would be perfect. Again, anyone looking for a good fan this is the one you want to get and if you are even thinking of getting a Dyson then be aware of extreme noise ( it was Dyson vs Meaco for me and when it comes to noise level Meaco just destroys competition )

Don't get me wrong, I love this fan. I have an earlier model with only one screw to remove the front grille but the screw is on the inside of the cover so it's very annoying trying to screw the front back on. I imagine you must have a magnetic precision screwdriver to hold on to the screw because your finger will not fit through the grille. If the tiny screw falls on the floor good luck trying to find it.

If, like me, you intend to use it in a smart home environment and if the smart plug is not an option, then the next option would be to use something like a Broadlink device. This will learn the buttons of any IR or RF remote and you can then integrate it within your smart home environment. Hope that helps.

I notice you neglected to mention the remote control does not work unless you point it directly at the center of the base, Which can be annoying as the base moves, making the remote control useless in a bedroom, or in the corner of the front room, it also makes it almost impossible for Alex or home-kit use, as you have to wait for it to face the receiver before saying any commands, its very hard to time it, The fan itself is a very good fan, and much better than any fan I purchased in the past,

Fans AND air circulators don't lower the temperature of the air they're moving they just move it, and the air flow from these units makes the air feel cooler due to convection and evaporation, that being the said why would you want it blowing air anywhere other than where you were/are.

    • @chrismichaelmeacouklimited4004

You are right that fans do not reduce the air temperature but moving all of the air within the room has massive benefits. It makes the temperature in the room more even, this is especially useful if you have air conditioning in one part of the room, it makes all of the air in the room feel fresher and, if you have more than one person in the room, enables several people to benefit from the fan at once.

My Meaco 1056 broke after 2 days of use (in the middle of a heat-wave), loud clicking when oscillating upwards. My friend's did exactly the same but horizontally. The 1056 performs very well but I think in general it is a little overrated. It has some really irritating design decisions.
The remote is incredibly finicky and requires very specific aiming/proximity. Especially if the fan sits a little higher up on your furniture (it doesn't tilt lower than horizontal either so placing it higher isn't ideal). It doesn't help that the whole base (including the controls!) rotates with the fan! The remote also can require 2 presses to respond to your actual command given that the unit goes to sleep after a short delay. Did that beep mean the fan was woken up or did it mean it's accepted my input? You can't tell. There's no down speed button on the unit itself so to go slower you need to cycle all the way through max hurricane speed and back up again. Oh and the illumination on the buttons turns off after a delay so now not only do you have moving buttons, you have invisible moving buttons meaning you have to randomly prod at the unlit control panel to try and get them to light up again so you can see what you're doing.
