- In this video we're listening to Kool And The Gang for our Friday Favourites series. We love just about every song we hear from this band, from the 70's to the late 80s. Admittedly, we know them better in the 80's than the 70's, so we're going to learn more about their earlier sound. We can't wait! Enjoy!

When Kool & The Gang was still cool. 'Hollywood Swingin' still my favorite of theirs. Still pains me to hear that much later stuff. Thanks for upload.
They had to change with music because disco changed the game.......J.T. Taylor era.........
I loved this era of, Kool and The Gang, you should check out, 'Open Sesame' by them too. They were a Funk band originally, with the onset of Disco the band changed their sound whist still really good it was quite different from their earlier stuff. 'Summer Madness' is another great track to react to, made famous by Will Smith as Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince in 'Summertime'.
When they did funk music and not that pop music of the 1980's! "Jungle Boogie" was their best song which came out in the 70's.

MM was "Hollywood Swinging" in the 70's? and let's not forget "Spirit of the Boogie.".....
Probably one of the most sampled songs ever.
