The German Autobahn has no speed limit but you should not race on it! Obey the rules and respect other drivers. Driven by an experienced Driver -
I love my new 208 (received delivery in september), but the 308 is even better. Sadly the 308 has been a bit too expensive for me, but will work towards owning one in the future. Gotta keep goals in life!
The 208 II is a great car if not the best of it's class. Had two of them and I absolutely enjoyed it
I had 2008 in mind for so long then I saw the 308 and said "ok that's it, i'm gonna wait until I afford that". Feel ya brother be patient. it will happen ;)
@@dascalnad actually, it terms of price, 2008 and 308 are quite close 😅. The SUVs are more expensive than their hatchback counterpart (2008 vs 208), and that's why the C segment HB is close in pricr to the B-SUV, but with more passenger space from the HB
@@SebaNunez91 I do not disagree. You are right. It was something like 5k in RO as difference, both GT
Can you do a city eco drive with same engine in a Peugeot 2008 please
these cars' cockpits are starting to look more and more like spaceships
car looks nice and futuristic from inside and outside but problem are that it costs same as premium car makers such as audi a 3,bmw 1 ,mercedes A clas and this is still peugeot and engine choice are pretty low especially on diesel side
I agree. The premium feeling of this 308 comes with a premium tag.
However, comparing it to German alternatives, you get better fuel economy(petrol compared to a tsi/mpi), cheaper maintenance, longer warranty.
Still, very expensive indeed. There are better options than this for sure.
where did you see it is better fuel economy?' its just opposite, worse fuel economy and worse performance with similar engines !1 you have 1,5 tsi 130hp Golf 8 which are much better at fuel economy and in the same time faster @@dascalnad
nx god the new 1.2 purecth are now with timing chain.
never really liked french cars, but damn, the design on this car is bonkers
I to good driver of Peugeot 308 driver of die highway of by test drive freak ❤❤❤ 😍😍😍😍😇😇😇😇😇
11.5 L/100 Km? 😱😱😱
Great acceleration for 1.2
It's turbocharged, which means, the engine size matters less. It is all about turbo pressure.
I have the most expensive 308 package (GT Pack 225 PHEV) and i have a lagging computer. Anyone else experienced this?
Display blendet 😉
Da kommt ein Tschusch
🎉136 hybrid?
No, that isn't offered yet for the 308 III
UK has the NEW 308 136 HYBRID but zero reviews on UA-cam for some reason.
@@MG3-Hybrid waiting for it too, there are videos that would compare the two transmissions, 136 comes with the eDSC 6 which seemed a bit slower than the 8 speed automatic, weird anyhow I will not order before I drive it myself
The worst engine ever of Stellantis with belt disgregation on the oil because petrol dissolves it. A lot of people affected with a mandatory downsized service repair: open the engine at 50.000km to change a belt, lowering oil changes at 7.500km instead of 100.000km and 15.000km. NO WAY. Stellantis, NO WAY
Only 3 cylinders in a car weighs 1.3 tons ?!?
Now it is the norm due to environmental regulations, they use very small engines of just 1000cm3 and 3 cylinders are turbos at very high pressures, they are very unreliable engines that with luck reach 1000,000km of use, real garbage
100.000 km, maybe? ;)
@@luigis7485 With luck and Oel change every 5000 km
Or for £400 you can get said belt changed at 60,000 miles and the Oil Strainer cleaned and it’s good for another 60,000 miles. My 208 first gen had the belt done at 72,000 miles and it’s still going strong at 95,000 miles.
Unlike Fords which are nearly a £1000 to do the same job.
If you look after a car it will look after you. Find my Peugeot more reliable than Mums old Audi A4
@@marcgardner868being a 208 is probable you own the aspirated version, in that one is unlikely to experience wet belt issues despite the fact they are affected by other ones, like oil drinking and catalytic converter failure caused by that consumption.
In turbo versions like the video's, you have to be way more aware of your wet belt.
y dale con la tontera
@@nachomunozsalcedo6728 It was a 2015 110 bhp 1.2 Puretech. So the Turbo version. Its a set price of £400 at Peugeot for belt replacement and Oil strainer cleaned. Never drunk oil, was smooth and quiet till it got killed by a van. Passed every MOT.
This motorisation is worst .
Oil problem 😮
Destroy the turbo
Not if you're sticking to the oil change interval and using the right oil
It drives nice tho
@@FluppKeyI know many cars with this engine (Ford also use this technique) which fails nevertheless 😮
First forever
Good looking car with a horrible engine
10 seconds to 100 is disaster at 2024
with 130 HP?
Nice car but trash engine, there is a class action lawsuite against because of this engine.
All the peugeot cars with this engine also suffer mass depreciation, there are a lot of consumers who can't even sell their car because of this engine.
So, don't buy it, this car belongs to the junkyard
1.2 puretech is a goddam fuckin’ trash engine !!! Garbage! Class action in progress…
Oil running belt
Full kevlar belt + 0W-30 Bardhal oil = EASY FIX . The engine running amazing especially after a proper ECU remap.
Is it the same puretech 1.2 that is in the new 308 1.2 Hybrid 136 e-DSC6 variant ?
@@MG3-Hybrid nope , the new light hybrid got chain belt , and got 136hp + 22hp from the small electric engine. Tested drive it for 1 month and a half, goes sublime !
1.2 L und 3 Cylinder ist kein Motor.
another 3-cylinder garbage... I bet that one doesn't even reach 30,000 km, that is if the oil-soaked belt doesn't break down...
wrong
