Good detail. I'd like to add a couple more pointers that show how this story points to the person and work of Christ. 1. Follow the harlot (both here and in the next story featuring a harlot (Josh 2, 5-6) 2. Follow the red cord (both here and in the next story featuring a red cord (Josh 2, 5-6) 3. Follow the genealogy (in both stories), noting the fact that twins were born in this illegitimate union 4. Follow the epilogue at Jericho - namely, Achan's story. Note his genealogy, and the fact that he and his whole family swap places with Rahab and her whole family. 5. Follow Ruth's genealogy in ch 4. Note where it starts and where it stops. Count them (seirously). 6. Tie it all together with Deut 23:2-3, and wash it all down with the genealogy in Matt 1. Enjoy!
It’s mentioned in this teaching that Judah,s wife’s name is Shua. In verse 12 according to my God’s Word Translation- Shua was the name of her father. Is Shua the name of the father or the daughter. (Also mentioned in Verse 2)
