    Darcy, thank you so much for posting this video, it was extremely helpful, and I have already forwarded it to my apprentice. We just got our starter kit this week, and I have done multiple appointments using much of the product in the kit. My clients absolutely love the no heat builder gel, and I’m looking forward to seeing there retention when they return. I have done two services using the acrygel, One full set, and a fill on myself. I love the ease of it and it feels lighter weight yet more durable than the product I was using we are looking to change out the current product we are using, can’t wait to do business with you!

    I like to explain in my tutorials that it helps to examine the nail of the client first then decide which gel to use. Different acrygel have different ratios of acrylic to gel. Some have more of a gel field some have more acrylic. It all depends too on what you like working with. The ones with more of a gel consistency are going to be harder to apply if you're using a pat pat press like with acrylic. I don't like those kind because they clog up your brush and I think acrygel is supposed to give you the ease of applying like acrylic but not curing until you put it in the light like gel.

    • @darcyolin
      @darcyolin  4 місяці тому

      I agree, different acrygels do apply differently, depending on the combination of ingredients making up the product. There are various techniques, depending on the product type. With regard to the Magic Acrygels, they are a self-leveling acrygel, which apply very easily with the right brush. I have found that a soft, synthetic brush, like the #7 Flawless Oval brush from Magic, prevent the product from sticking in the bristles and works much better than natural hair brushes. I did find the natural hair brushes (like kolinsky brushes), tend to have stiffer bristles and that the acrylic did tend to stick to that type of bristle.

    I don't know all that much about gel. But every acrygel/polygel I've seen is really thick n needs to be patted. So what kind of acrygel is this?

    • @darcyolin
      @darcyolin  4 місяці тому +1

      @@mandicoleman7433 This is a blend of self-leveling gel and acrylic, so you get the best of both worlds. The ease of application & self-leveling qualities of a medium viscosity gel with the added strength from the acrylic powder added. It is very unique and amazing.

      I forgot to also mention that it is Magic Gel System's Acrygel. You can get it from Nail-Innovations.com in the US or Magical.ca in Canada.
