Thank you for your comment!🙇🇯🇵 Now that the technology has improved further, there are no failures. It is said that we need a lot of these products, but we refuse because it is very difficult to make...
Even though the word 'Failure' in the title made me realize something would go wrong I wanted to cry when it did 🥺... glad you were able to mend it and weren't afraid to post the video... thanks for sharing
Despite this piece breaking, your work is incredible, and to do it with just a year's turning experience is remarkable. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
Thanks for your comment! I don't have much money, but for one year I only had one spindle gouge. Inevitably, I used only spindle gouges, so I think that in one year I became intermediate. Thanks to one of the few DVDs and e-mail teachers!🙇
@@YamabikoWoodArt I don't think anyone would consider your goblets the work of an intermediate turner. They are stunning. Your comment about only having one gouge for most of the year echoes common photography advice from years ago. I was told to buy just one fixed lens, and find my vision with it before adding more distraction to the camera bag. You have realized a beautiful vision with your goblets, and I would love to achieve something similar myself.
@@tcsyme Thank you very much! I am very happy! I was told by a teacher that I recently reached an advanced level. However, I still feel that my ability is not enough. I want to work faster and more accurately, but it is difficult because of my cautious personality. . . From now on, I want to grow with people from all over the world through UA-cam!!
@@YamabikoWoodArt I'm not sure how much faster you can work with pieces so delicate. I was so nervous watching the pieces flex as you progressed, and was very surprised to see that they didn't break as you cut them free while turning. I thought for sure you would need to turn off the lathe and reach for a Ryoba to separate the finished goblet from the stock.
I myself need a lot of concentration every time. I think the person who watches is the same. The last disconnect, which should start exactly after slowing down, failed because it was forgotten. I want the bottom of the work to be as hollow as possible to make it less fragile.
Thank you for your comment!🙏 This failed due to my carelessness. I needed to set a lower speed, but it happened because I forgot it. I chose this method because I need to dig the bottom to prevent cracking, but I have not failed after this work.
Thank you for your comment! I'm happy to hear that!!🙇🇯🇵 It will be available on Etsy.com. It is significantly delayed due to the influence of the corona. The start of sale will be posted on UA-cam.
This is not dry and changes over time. If it is deformed, it will not cut well, so please hurry a little. I think that the axis is not difficult if you cut it carefully. I wish you success.
I couldn't believe you got as far as you did. And then did it again and again, proving it's possible. It deserved to be saved. Incredible work.

I also wanted to cry.
However, in this video I learned a lot about the strength of wood fibers.
Thank you for watching✨✨
Bellissimo e bravissimo

Getting from Japan🙇🇯🇵
Great work, yamabiko!
Thank you for the comment, Rick Turns !I always enjoy watching your videos!!
It's said you learn from your mistakes, brave of you to show what went wrong.
Thank you for your comment! We received the same comments from many people. There is more to learn from mistakes than to succeed.🇯🇵🙇
They look great. I hope that does not happen often.
I'm sorry about the end, but this is lovely work. You are a true artist.
thank you very much!!🙏
I will do my best to make better works!

I thought you were lucky when you parted off your goblet, but this was just crazy! Use one of your fine Japanese saws! What beautiful work you do.

Thank you ✨
Last time I made a big mistake, but I learned💡
OH! That was heartbreaking. Always worst when something goes wrong at the last moment. Beautiful work though.
Thank you for your comment!🙇🇯🇵 It was a failure caused by my personality. You need to work carefully towards the end. I hope it helps you.
Where can I buy these incredible works of art 👏👏👏👏🥰❤️🥰❤️👏👏👏👏🥰❤️🥰❤️

Takes a steady hand and skill to turn a piece this delicate.
The voice came out unexpectedly in the last scene. Thank you for watching and commenting.
This is a cool new design. Not easily done, but i am going to give it a try. Good job!

The base started to crack on a pieces i worked on. How do yoavoid pith cracks while drying?

Thank you for your comment!🙇🇯🇵 I think so too! I haven't failed much since then. Getting from Japan.
Awesome job. Like the shapes.
It is a very delicate work and sometimes fails ...
Thank you for browsing!
That turned out nice
Thanks for watching! I forgot to lower the rotation speed and made a huge failure ...
You have inspired me to try doing this. I will record it and put it on my channel as well with credit to you.
Thank you very much!!
No credit needed, but we look forward to it!
As a material, green trees and those with little cork are recommended!

Thank you 🙇✨✨
