    Can you try a simple but potentially powerful patch idea for me? Have the VCO output a saw wave into the filter, then patch the output of the filter into the filter cutoff, so that the filter modulates its own cutoff. Now just experiment with resonance and filter mod amount and you should be able to get an amazing range of timbres. On a virtual analog synth that specialises in properly anti-aliased audio rate modulation i got some fantastic organic timbres like this, but it was probably both stabilised and dulled by those digital anti-aliasing filters. I would love to know how it sounds on real Moog VCF! Maybe crazy bad (it might be less stable because of the tighter feedback loop) or maybe amazing.... i would love to know!
