Thank you! I agree! I think it’s easy to get caught up in limitations (real or perceived) but I find that’s where a lot of the creativity lies. Cheers!
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head when you said you don’t use the stock presets because they are underwhelming. I think that’s what a lot of people have and use though and that’s why the stigma is there. The Deluge sounds really good. Especially now with the community firmware new reverb, new filters, etc. I’m enjoying it a lot more. The stock kits that come with the Deluge I actually kept all of. They sound great. The synth presets I ended up ditching around half of them. Maybe more. Anyway, great video. I learned a lot about the practical application of Euclidean sequencing today. Thanks for that 😉
Agree. Most of the kits are actually pretty solid (tho I tend to build my own on a per song basis.) Euclidean is pretty cool for generating quick ideas. Especially on hats. Love it for that! More Melodies it takes a lot of offsetting and re-writing, but it’s good for getting a great base to build on quick!
Haha. Yup. I used to manually vary velocity before. You could also modulate master volume (or oscillator level) with random (don’t know why you can’t do velocity), but I kinda like cutoff cuz it also changes the sound of the hit. It’s also nice to randomize pan just a little so it’s like the hit is on different parts of the hat.
Wow! I almost didn’t click based on the 28’ length but before I knew it the end was nearly upon me. Great stuff. Cheers. Lee
Ahhh that’s awesome. Haha. Thanks man! Cheers 🙏
Fun idea for a video! Thanks for sharing. Some nice workflows in there too
How funny! I just finished watching your features video. VMU meter and CPU meter… 🤌 that’s good stuff right there!
Cheers man!
Yeah, quite inspiring!
🙏 glad you found it useful!
really enjoyed this man.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
I learned a lot from this dude! Definitely a seggsy beat, my Hairspray nearly came out 👨🎤✨
Excellent! Glad it was helpful. My regards to your hairspray. 😂
Strong work. Love just using what the machine gives you and then adding your own spices.

I tried to figure out how to randomize the hi hat velocity for ages and all i had to do was modulate the cutoff for the same effect.
