Hi, I know this is an older video, but it just popped up. I love what you are doing! I've only recently discovered Brushos, and enjoying trying them out. Thank you for this. Like you I'm not keen on faces in my art, but this is great. X.

Thank you! I'm glad that you're enjoying the Brushos, they are a fantastic medium! It's good to mix up imagery every once in a while, but this technique could definitely be used with flowers, animals or architecture. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment!

I'm trying to play with brushos and wanted to see if it would work over white paste - clearly it does! I stupidly did my box with black gesso and forgot that brushes are transparent. I'm going to go over with white before adding my brushos.
What do white brushos do? I presume they are only one colour. Do they just lighten the colour of other brushos?

Yes, the Brushos work amazingly well over white paste. It's an easy mistake to make starting with black gesso but if you added in a layer of white brushos and added in other color on top, they would mix with the white and you would get some of the color through.
Yes, you're correct. I use the white brushos to add in lighter color in my pigments when working on black paper. Where the white brushos really shine is on black paper. Now you can get metallic brushos, which opens up a lot more options when working on a black surface.
