I do like that filter system.. It seems like it's got lots of space and filter media.. I have similar mats that I use a hose to clean as well.. you need that pressure to get them clean..I actually use a pressure washer at car wash.. quicker , warmer and cleaner
A small Draco minima drum filter would be far more effective for very nice pond. You can pick one up for 600 to 700 pounds. A great investment with a very small foot print.
