Great update I’ve just took my multibay off as it constantly made that noise and used to backup and then start again as if the pump stopped or the line was full of air and put an eazypod in I also have a tempest and the bakki shower. I might use the multibay on a grow on setup I’m looking at building.
I feel your pain! I had a 3000v and it’s only rated for 3000lph and had a 10k vari pump on its lowest setting which was 3500lph and it only just about caught up with the flow. Not sure what model kockney bay that you have but I would just get a 3000lph pump and take it nice and slow the results will be so good with maximum dwell time as it’s not your primary filter doing all the hard work and just polishing the water 👌🏻😎
A proper vari-pump should make all the difference and allow you to adjust the flow to get the best dwell time through the media to have the filter functioning at its best. You'll sort it out. 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
Really like your multi bay setup.could you fit an elbow and then extend the pipe down towards the bottom of the filler and then use another elbow and then fit the cage to that so that you are drawing water from the bottom of the filter so that the pump doesn’t draw in air at the top 👍🏻
Vary flow pump 10 k should be ok with that multibay ,ive same one was going to add same size pump to mine ,its all about balancing the flow rate for the pond
Great stuff👍 I do like a good multi bay set up😊👍. Nice slipper too😂🤣👍 are they BKKS recommend 🤔.I’m sure you’ll get the pump sorted and it will all work well👍😊
Once you get the speed right that system will work a treat it's a shame your variispeed isn't working properly I can't tell you if it's the pump or a faulty variispeed but the 2 I have are working perfectly 🤔
Put ball valve on and slow speed of pump to the pond alot better than these electric devices anything goes wrong with them you could loose fish unless you have float switch fitted all the best pal 👍👍
Ok ads you can get them ball valves from eco-filtration if you need to replace the Bulkhead you get them from EA I’ve recently replaced the waist slide valve for ball valve on two of my ezay pods
Sure has a lot of media.
I do love this filter.
Water sure looks clear
Sorry that it's dripping...
Always something... The plumbing work is never done
You need to lower the outlet by a few inches or just restrict the flow to the pond with the valve returning to the pond

Good to see water in the multibay now Ad, maybe have a look on marketplace, I picked up a jebao 10k varipump off there for £60, always worth a look

Yes sir dwell time is definitely a key factor in these filters , thanks for the great comment 🙏👍
Good bit of kit them muilt bays bud iv got to pick 1 up from kev at Dorset koi to ad on the vortex bang on job 💯👍😎🐟

Just found out the max flow rate is 6000lph (1300gph) so yes new pump is all that’s needed 👍
Once you get the flow rate right, that will do a cracking job😀
My easy pod valves are 1and a half inch Ad hope you get it sorted 👍👍
Cheers

I could actually have the pump submerged in the last bay
Looks to me that the pump is set to high in the last tank maybe putting pump lower to get the draw

They are hybrid slippers got them for Xmas 😂
Thanks ad mate for the update very entertaining as usual!! Can't wait for part three! 🤣👍
Knob!😉

Maybe it’s just not compatible with the pump I have
You could put a ball valve to the pipe coming out of the multibay control flow with that before it hits the pump. Looking good tho bud👍🐠🐠
I think that will only stress the pump out out

Multi bays do a good job there just a ballache to clean
It’s coming off the skimmer rather than the dirty bottom drain so hopefully won’t be too bad 👍
Getting there mate!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Think ur grill is too restrictive for the pump
I wondered if you put a ball valve between the multi bay and pump it may give you the option of restricting the flow to the pump.
Would that not stress the pump out?
@@ADS-KOI yeah it may add a bit more pressure to the pump but just a thought

I have a spare I think. Gonna dig it out 👍
Eazypod waste is 1.5 inch
