- Welcome back to my workshop 😁
Yes yes... i know... I spelt the intro incorrectly... its Lens NOT Lense... never mind 🤣.
In this video I show you how I changed the Lens on my SCULPFUN S9 laser.
Hopefully you will find this video helpful..... but not if you want to learn how to spell 🤣.

Thanks Frank I am very new to layering and I am learning a lot from you thank again
😁 Thanks Joe. Hopefully more videos soon, as soon as I can get back in the swing of things after the Christmas break. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Hi Frank, seems straight forward ,you got this. Surprising how much carbon build up from using the laser, I though Sculpfun would have a tool to remove the lens when you bought it. as always a great video, take care catch you next time 😁😁👍
😁 Hi Shaun, its surprising how much build up there is. I now have air assist that I have to fit and im hoping this will cut down on the build up. I'm sure there is a tool but the tweezers worked out OK in the end. Catch you soon mate 😁👍
Great video. Do you have a link for the kit? Thank you for sharing this video.
😁 Hi Sunny. I was sent these directly from Sculpfun. So that would be a good place to start

I think they are also available on Amazon if that is easier. I don't have any kind of affiliate link or discount sorry. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Never thought about what all that smoke does to the kit before... mukky :)
🤔 Imagine what it does to your lungs. Thats why I've now got a dedicated extractor, just got to build an enclosure to put it all in. A project for the new year I think 😁. Happy Christmas James, hope you have a good one 🎅👍
Great info my be sure clip pliers would be the way to go ? But would of thought they should supply them in the kit but guess that keeps the price down
😃 Nice suggestion Rod. I think you may be on to something there with the circlip pliers. They would be better to initially loosen the lens. But I think the only ones I have are far too big and have seen far too much action, but a new set may be the perfect solution. Thanks for the idea. And thanks for watching Rod 😁👍
Why do people call this a lens? It isn't it is just a protective cover or window. Good video all the same.
😆 Probably because its easier to spell 🤣. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Hi, this is really good to know for future -thank you! Can I ask something else? Have you ever cut in acrylic and if, do you have any advice for that?
😁 Thanks very much, I'm glad its useful information. As far as acrylic cutting is concerned, the only time I attempted to cut it was in my "Acrylic router templates for Christmas" video last year, where I show the problems attempting to cut clear acrylic. I now have a couple of coloured acrylic samples so hope to try them soon. Sorry I can't be of more help... yet 😔. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@frankslittleworkshop Thank you it was good, I will be watching the Christmas video. Thanks for the good videos you make😊👍
why dont they provide a toy for loosening the lense..using a pinzette is a barbary and why do you not clean the old lense
🤔 I have no idea Lothar. I guess these kits are made to a price point and adding extra tools would increase the cost 🤔. I did clean the old lense and now keep it as a spare. I originally changed the lense as they were sent to me by Sculpfun.
@@frankslittleworkshop such a tool for loosing the lensholder is not very care......the best way to get the smoke is to use air assist . A simple silicon tube and tiny airpump is sufficent. Dont buy anything of this stuff from companies
