- This is a how to video of the install process for installing the new PRL Short Ram cold air intake! It defiantly makes the turbo louder and is an awesome product! I love the way it changed the looks of the engine bay and the little bit more performance you can feel! Can’t wait for bigger upgrades to come! Thanks @axionind for the hook up!

i bought a CCAI for my 2020 Civic EX-L last Oct 11 is still on back order but I'm excited to get here already since I want to hear my turbo spooling up having no noise on your car makes it boring a little bit.
Nice vid man , any issues with heat soak ? Also did you disconnect the battery before installing ? Wanna make sure I won’t throw a CEL
To make 100% sure not to get a CEL disconnect the battery will help!
I haven’t had any issues but I also have a turbo blanket on my turbo!

I installed mine everything is running smoothly my brake system is popping up upon turning on the vehicle any guesses ?
Not 100% sure that is connected to the Intake at all
I’m not sure why that would be happening
Don’t worry it reset just had to drive it around

I believe they make one for the 10th gen civic
This one is designed for the 11th gen so I’m not sure if it’s 100% compatible
What’s the difference between the high-volume air intake from PRL and this cold air intake from PRL?
High volume intake still has a box so it keeps the noise down from the turbo and the intake, the HVI will have less chance to get to hot and cause heat soak
@@Turbo_Sticker_Man To add to this, The HVI with the 'PLUS' Duct does give quiet a lot of easily noticed intake noise ( Raw induction sounds when throttling and easily heard wastegate ) Going from HVI to HVI+Plus was very noticeable sound increase. HVI+Plus to SRI ( Different brand ) was of course louder too. Though, funny enough. Ktuner data logging the HVI+Plus vs a SRI. Both see a 6+ temp rise when the car idles for 2 minutes at a redlight. When idling in a lot for 10 mins, obviously the SRI gets higher temps than the HVI. But both raise. Though despite this, The temps at IAT2 ( After the intercooler ) was exactly the same on my HVI vs SRI. Even a 1 hour drive, same day..same outside temp. The IAT2 temps are damn-near identical. The SRI only had a higher temp at long idles. But once the car got moving again, like >30MPH, that hot IAT1 temp shoots straight down, back to where the HVI temps were. Sometimes ( Highway ) I had cooler temps on the SRI IAT1 sensor since the grill of the car is forcing MUCH more air through than the amount of air that can get past the little tiny scoop for the HVI box. So I'm like..puzzled what I prefer. I guess if you dont live in Arizona and you dont get stuck in traffic jams..Short-Rams are plenty fine. 45MPH / 75MPH drives, I see temps that are equal to the HVI ( sometimes better ) but IAT2, after the intercooler, remained the same on both systems. That was just my findings, cuz I wanted like..actual data between the two setups. Too many people just answred this question as "Short rams suck. Dont buy a short-ram" and weren't helpful..
Regardless they're both super products. Hope you're enjoying the SRI. It really made me love driving the car more, as I love hearing all the intake noises when driving around!! Fricken crazy how loud it is when you start the car up cold. First like 10-30 seconds depending on the temps is just load air-rushing in sounds..loudest part of the car atm haha

@@xxxtierxxx4464 I had the HVI on stock tune and currently have a shortram intake from another company on stock tume. Im not paying for a tune until I swap my intercooler and some other parts first, and im waiting for a few companies to release theirs. I got nothing against PRL. I just want to have options.

why would a intake help improve performance on a stock engine? its breathing fine.
Helps it breath better then fine allowing more air into the engine which allows more flow
I think it just helps the car cool out over here in Miami before the intake my car would always be 100 degrees now after the intake I’m usually at 80 or 75 also has a nice sound to it u can prolly get like a lil hp from it
