Fantastic trick. For mentalism I would eliminate the last phase where all the cards match, because that kind of gives a clue to the working
I first saw this trick performed by Alan Ackerman. On his dvd classic Ackerman.It's called Finally Matched.What a great effect.It's based on Marlos matching trick in his faro shuffle booklet.

Technically Craig is right BUT we all know what Matt means and what he is trying to communicate is also correct he's just not saying it in a way to satisfy Craigs need to be correct. Grin
I’d call it a controlled shuffle.. it shuffles but has an outcome you can predict
Craig and one last thing which you missed bud was if you cut at 26 you can do an off centre Faro which is less stressful 👌🏻

Stay stack wasn’t Alex Elmsley , I think it was attributed to Rusduck in the 50’s or 60’s Although like most things it almost definantely goes way back.
This is when you realize that "From muggle to magician" really didn't teach anything to Matt, with some basic knowledge he should have been able to know what's going on. But he didn't learn anything of the basics, just some gimmicks here and there, but not the basis.
Considering he uses Stebbins so much, Matt should learn that by reversing the first 26 cards, it converts Stebbins into a Stay Stack.
Craig why the feck m8 are you doing tricks he’ll know or might be able to find out plus these fucking tricks are next fkin level. Keep hurting him with the old skool it’s as fkin good mate to a punter. New gimmicks yer gr8 but effects no different in jo blogs 👀
