That goes back to something I tell my kids all the time. I am a very good welder. They always compare my stuff to others with scorn (It's good for the ego, can't lie) and I always say "Remember you guys, the easier someone makes something look, the harder it usually is to do." And it's true. I can weld you anything anywhere and you'll think "That looked easy." Can't palm a card for the life of me! LOL
I love this trick… Harry Lorayne did a version called “Lazy Man’s Card Trick,” but I love how Jason blatantly uses the stack to create a trick that almost feels like an ACAAN cousin…
You are so awesome. I was fool by this because I know you have the skills to do this with the actual cards. Thanks for sharing a version that is mortals can do
Wow, he does do some reveal. I read the title of one video that said something about looking at the cards, and he just kept making fun of the idea that that was possible. So I thought he would be ironic, but lo, here he is with a legit explanation. Smart, fast, practiced guy. And educational and sharing.
💢this is incredibly so effective but yet very simply to learn with some practice. This is absolutely brilliant! The mind games and conning is probably what I think makes this trick so convincing. Love this!
He's so good though that once he saw the 3 of hearts on his first show of the top card, he cut it back in and then cut it back on top when he flipped them over so he was already on the hearts.
Stop there? Are you sure? Ok, cause see, it doesn't matter.... cut cut cut cut cut....we can cut all day long...cut cut cut cut, but you said stop, so we stop. or Ask the next person if they want to cut or leave it or rework the trick a bit and come up with a reason to separate the cards into another cut again.
I tried this and I cut the deck upside down probably 50 times and didn’t hit a hearts between A-10, instead I hit a Q and K of hearts a few times. So I’m just supposed to keep having the spectator cut it until it hits one of those cards?
Because it is possible to cut the cards more through the hearts. His answer worked here that they stayed together but you could potentially cut through the set up too much I think.
7:07 but what if the person keeps cutting it until it stops on a non-hearts card?
2 місяці тому+1
You don't give them the option. You keep revealing cards to "prove" the cut is real and then only ask if they want to stop when you find a heart. If they insist on stopping when its a non-heart then you're screwed.
What happens if you get people like my family that will say well I don’t want a card down there I want the top card, you know those people that always try and ruin the trick by thinking they know what they are doing instead of enjoying it
Only nitpick. Jason did not give or mention credits which its always good to give when teaching magic. This routine is called "Lazy Man's Card Trick by Harry Lorayne"
The trick is that cutting cards does nothing, it just makes people believe it does something, but cutting back and forth doesn't ever actually change the order of the cards. You need a 3 cut or more to change the order and screw the trick.
but wouldn’t forcing ruin the sequence? I’m no master but I think if you do it quickly enough and not put too much emphasis on it (maybe while talking to them) you’ll be fine. So far it has for me. Good luck!
First time he does the trick it's 7D, second time when he's explaining it is 7S. The card they pick is genuinely a free choice out of the 42 cards remaining except the A-10 of hearts.
So awesome. I’m still confused haha. what if the cut accidentally does mix the hearts around? Or moves the persons card away? I need to test with with a deck of cards lol.
They'll be split but not mixed. If you break the hearts up in a cut then one section will be on the face and one will be on the top. Look at it this way, they cut it once and split the hearts. Cool, now they're split. Once they cut again the bottom is moving to the top and so they're reunited. So every second cut you're putting them back together. All you have to look out for as the magician is to have a heart on the bottom.
Basically the hearts are on the bottom of the deck in an ordered fashion A to 10 A being at the very bottom. Then he puts the selection card at the top. Now when you cut the deck, you can think of it as having the selection card, 7 in this case being under the A. Now no matter how many times the deck is cut this order of 10 to A to the selection cut never changes, you can think of it as a circle. So now all you have to do is cut the deck face up until you get a heart, then you stop tell people you can cut more, they'll most likely say no even if they say yes you just cut fast until you see a heart again and stop. Then just reveal that many cards on the top.
Why pretend that was what you intended to do, of course! Since they cut the deck, you've just given them what seems like a real miracle. Every magician knows that if something like that happens by chance, you simply roll with it, and leave them examining the deck with an impossible-to-solve mystery.
It serves more than one purpose...probably more than 2...1st it gives him a thing for you to look at and questionm...so he can double his money if you want to double or nothing with that hand open.. It also allows...if he proves it for one trick that he's not using it...he can now use it in another trick and you are none the wiser... Sometimes faints are meaningful in that trick...sometimes they are a set up...
just tried this and blew my own mind - are there any other math based card tricks like this?♠also, i tried with any card from the deck and it still works.
I like this version of Jason. wtf did all you haters and trolls do to him? Y’all turned him into the joker!! :-/. Even though i like this Jason better. I don’t hate the new version. lol. I just like the teacher version better. 😆
I think that was just lag in the chat between them. It wasn’t a force, it just couldn’t be the first 10 cards after that it could have been any card. Watch the explanation again.

There's no reason to force the selection of any given card, as long as its not the first 10 cards then any card is as good as any other.
No offense to Jason, but I prefer Harry Lorayne's slightly different presentation of Lazy Man's Card Trick. Always gets gasps from the spectators. Definitely worth checking out.
This is new. Usually when Jason says he will teach you a card trick he never does 😅😅
He's always teaching. We just don't have the capacity to understand.
yeah true story. i tried 4 times once on one he posted on instagram before i realized i was trolled... LOL
Amen !
He didn’t teach anything. That method doesn’t work. We still don’t know how he did it.
@@jsmendo1 Wat? xD he literally tells and shows you how it's done lmao
It's a privilege to have this master share a trick. It turns out he is an excellent educator as well.
I was thinking exactly the same!
It doesn’t work….
Never mind…yes it does…awesome trick! Thanks!
Where are all the Instagram haters? 😂 Jason, I love watching you prove people wrong on IG. But this reveal was fantastic! It’s just a fun to watch.
Don't forget TikTok haters...lol!
I love his stuff. It's just so freaking mind melting how he's able to do it so effortlessly
That goes back to something I tell my kids all the time. I am a very good welder. wow I expected a bait trick inside a larger trick, but he really showed it 😌
That was awesome. The trick is cool anyway. But great to see you how you did it. And admitting tricks within the tricks. Thanks Jason
I love this trick… Harry Lorayne did a version called “Lazy Man’s Card Trick,” but I love how Jason blatantly uses the stack to create a trick that almost feels like an ACAAN cousin…
Occam’s Razor holds that magic is the simplest explanation here, because I could practice that for 50 years and never get it right. 😂
This is brilliant 🤩 I love card tricks and have done since a kid , I just did this trick to my Mrs and she can’t believe it 🤣
he's a G for sharing this
That was great!!! Thank you! You are one of the best on UA-cam.
This is a great trick!
Dang. This was an awesome explanation. Thanks, Jason.
The most amazing thing is the mind of the individual who invents these tricks!
You are so awesome. I was fool by this because I know you have the skills to do this with the actual cards. Thanks for sharing a version that is mortals can do
Nice Omega.
He loves James Bond
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the watch. Very nice Omega.
Wow, he does do some reveal. I read the title of one video that said something about looking at the cards, and he just kept making fun of the idea that that was possible. So I thought he would be ironic, but lo, here he is with a legit explanation. Smart, fast, practiced guy. And educational and sharing.
How would you respond if the assistant insists of choosing the some of the first cards of the deck?
What does he do if someone asks him to go back and stop at the beginning of the deck?
LOL!! I watched it twice and still don't get how that card popped up.
But how does this work when you open a fresh set of cards like you usually do on your channel?
Self working card tricks are great.
Thank you Jason for this reveal!
When trick is preformed with cards face down how can you tell that you’ve landed on hearts?
The face-up cutting is a necessary part of the trick.
One of my favorites
When trick is preformed with cards face down how can you tell that you’ve landed on hearts? 3:44
Ok but what is a goodway to save a situation when the person chooses a non heart card and is determined to have just that card ?
💢this is incredibly so effective but yet very simply to learn with some practice. This is absolutely brilliant! The mind games and conning is probably what I think makes this trick so convincing. Love this!
You could accidentally separate the chosen card from the heart sequence by cutting, right? What then?
Do you have books that teach this stuff?
Yes he have
dude.. Jason.. is amazing at this.. and i cant believe.. how easily i was fooled..
He's so good though that once he saw the 3 of hearts on his first show of the top card, he cut it back in and then cut it back on top when he flipped them over so he was already on the hearts.
*what if you get asked to stop at a non-heart suit*
You find a way to manipulate them into cutting again..
Stop there? Are you sure? Ok, cause see, it doesn't matter.... cut cut cut cut cut....we can cut all day long...cut cut cut cut, but you said stop, so we stop.
or
Ask the next person if they want to cut or leave it
or rework the trick a bit and come up with a reason to separate the cards into another cut again.

You can throw in cuts of your own to different parts of the deck.
I love that he explained it and I still don’t get it
What do you do if someone cuts between the hearts and your target card?
He addressed that in the vid
this guys a magician man holy
when i do it it only happens sometimes not every time
Because it is possible to cut the cards more through the hearts. His answer worked here that they stayed together but you could potentially cut through the set up too much I think.
This trick is very old and usually done with A to King of same suit. But I like this way better. Less cards to hide at beginning.
Also, neater since the number of cards is the face value, not "king = ten"
Fewer
7:07 but what if the person keeps cutting it until it stops on a non-hearts card?
You don't give them the option. You keep revealing cards to "prove" the cut is real and then only ask if they want to stop when you find a heart. If they insist on stopping when its a non-heart then you're screwed.
I've seen other people do and teach this trick. But you did it better.
Bruh how is this even possible
What happens if you get people like my family that will say well I don’t want a card down there I want the top card, you know those people that always try and ruin the trick by thinking they know what they are doing instead of enjoying it
How do you get the hearts lined up?
You have to be fantastic at manipulation or have them already set up
Awesome trick!
how?
Thanks for this! 🙂
Impressive. Still lost on the “math” trick you showed with 3 piles. And start with 9 cards. Tried it a dozen times, maybe I’m doing common core 😂
You da man!
what a legend.
Is that an Omega?
Only nitpick. Jason did not give or mention credits which its always good to give when teaching magic. This routine is called "Lazy Man's Card Trick by Harry Lorayne"

How the hell does this work 😂😂😂
Thanks bro.
Key card principle
great stuff.
anyway to force the red to appear after the cut? I find I am cutting unneccessary amounts to find a heart which makes others question why
but wouldn’t forcing ruin the sequence? I’m no master but I think if you do it quickly enough and not put too much emphasis on it (maybe while talking to them) you’ll be fine. So far it has for me. Good luck!
Love it
Amazing just amazing.
I thought it was the 7D? Not 7S?
First time he does the trick it's 7D, second time when he's explaining it is 7S. The card they pick is genuinely a free choice out of the 42 cards remaining except the A-10 of hearts.
Even though he explained, I still couldn’t do it!
I am an electrician too
Brilliant.
So awesome. I’m still confused haha. what if the cut accidentally does mix the hearts around? Or moves the persons card away? I need to test with with a deck of cards lol.

Got it to work first time after watching video once. Which shows it's close to idiot proof.
Wait I tried this many times but I still don’t understand how the 7 of spades ended up 6 cards from the top.
Basically the hearts are on the bottom of the deck in an ordered fashion A to 10 A being at the very bottom. Then he puts the selection card at the top. Now when you cut the deck, you can think of it as having the selection card, 7 in this case being under the A. How many cards would you count out for the Ace, J, Q, K in this trick?
@@gheslop3440 You don't use J,Q,K. Ace is 1. 🙂
so cool.
It's still cool even when I know how it's done.
Somehow I knew you were gonna pick 7♦️
Does that make me psychic?
JL: YAFI
Come on, just a little
Great trick bro
He’s as good at teaching as he is doing.
You dealing with the best card mechanic.....
Coins are better
What if you flip the deck face up to cut, and their card is the first one(already at the bottom after cutting multiple times face down)?
Why pretend that was what you intended to do, of course! Since they cut the deck, you've just given them what seems like a real miracle. Every magician knows that if something like that happens by chance, you simply roll with it, and leave them examining the deck with an impossible-to-solve mystery.
What's up with the left hand movement touching the cards
It serves more than one purpose...probably more than 2...1st it gives him a thing for you to look at and questionm...so he can double his money if you want to double or nothing with that hand open..
It also allows...if he proves it for one trick that he's not using it...he can now use it in another trick and you are none the wiser...
Sometimes faints are meaningful in that trick...sometimes they are a set up...
Cutting the cards doesn't change the order of the cards.
I still can’t do it
I dunno, but he must have editing something here.
Nope, just watch it again. You can't have understood it properly.
I understand how to do it but still don't understand how it actually works. Magic.
Find me Scarn on Cards book
I wonder if he ever runs into people who know some of the tricks and cut through the bs publicly.
Woowww!!! Just a WOOOWWWW 🤯🤯😁
just tried this and blew my own mind - are there any other math based card tricks like this?♠also, i tried with any card from the deck and it still works.

On the count of 5 at the very end it looks like he grabs two cards from the deck.... js
Maybe I'm drunk but I don't understand
the delay in stopping was noticeable on the first watch
I think that was just lag in the chat between them. It wasn’t a force, it just couldn’t be the first 10 cards after that it could have been any card. Watch the explanation again.
There's no reason to force the selection of any given card, as long as its not the first 10 cards then any card is as good as any other.
Too smoothe
Никуя не понял, но очень интересно😬
Now I am gonna go try this, and it’s not gonna work 😂..
Fooled again.
Dude explained it perfectly........and I still don't get it.😕
I don’t like it when your nice Jason. Delete this video and be my evil superhero
Had it down from the beginning! Of course! Amazing, again! Thanks for always liking my comment!
You might as well told people how to build a rocket engine. Same result 😅
Pay your time dude 😂😂😂
Gat Dam!
I'm so used to the arrogance in his short videos that it doesn't even seem to be the same person
No offense to Jason, but I prefer Harry Lorayne's slightly different presentation of Lazy Man's Card Trick. Always gets gasps from the spectators. Definitely worth checking out.
Nowhere in this video does he explain how he did it lmao
He really does, we're just not smart enough to get it at first.
He didn’t reveal how he does it
he literally did my guy, cuts do not disturb the sequence of a deck, so their chosen card is always right under the ace of hearts after the first cut.
🤯🤯
