Fun fact I wish I had mentioned in the video: the "Orc Slaver" at the end utilizes the model for the cut "Warlord" hero that was seen in some alpha screenshots and videos. I hope you enjoy as I tackle the Human campaign!
I always found that model a bit intriguing, it made me think of how orcs may've adapted to life on Azeroth after being away from Draenor and its own ecosystem. Including, say, starting to ride horses and not just giant wolves. Then the continued worldbuilding gave Azeroth its own giant wolves and made the point moot, but still it was something that made teenage me curious.
@@cattrucker8257 I felt the same way as I spent time pouring over all of the details and information from these games. I was quite obsessed with the world of Warcraft by the time the game "World of Warcraft" came out
I really like the detail of the pre-boss cutscene showing that the raiders cut/catapulted through the trees and broke down a section of wall, and that's how they managed to get in faster and bypass other defenders. Gameplay and story integration - something players do as a tactic used in-story! I always found it just a little weird that this early map had these fun sidequest points of interest but later maps seemed to lack those proto-quest markers and just had side objectives popping up sometimes. Still a similar effect, yeah, but that visual detail was nice.
That is a really cool detail that I honestly never gave much attention! Another little detail I always liked is the three riderless horses standing in the clearing at the beginning, implying Arthas and the two footmen he is with road in on horseback. I agree, this mission feels like it was maybe trying to show off the original "Role-playing Strategy" idea that they had. Or maybe they just realized how difficult it might be to add in all of these quests and whatnot and scaled the idea back as they made more missions.

That's for sure! They really put a lot of effort into these missions. Such a good game!
Finally, the Human campaign!
The Human campaign is going to be great! Thanks for watching.
Arthas is such a good person i hope everything works out for him andnhis family 😊 - For the alliance
He seems like the kind of guy that will have a long and happy life serving as King 🤴
What a cutscene! Just found this video detailing how they went about crafting some of these scenes.

Very cool! I enjoyed seeing the reference footage!
One of the best story campaigns ever!
Warcraft 3 goes hard! Especially the Human Campaign in my opinion
