I have just bought one, the non facelift model and I just love it. I can feel the touch of old school, the simplicity is just great. A little time before I had the 2014 Passat with 2.0 tdi engine, I just hated that car. It broke down two times while I had important meetings, and I don't want anymore modern diesels. Quality ends somewhere before 2010.
I think it is not good for the engine. F.e. if you drive with 140km/h the engine runs with 4000rpm. The max i think are 5500rpm or something like this. If the engine runs long time with this rpm your fueltank will run out quickly. There are also other issues, but i dont know so much that i could tell you what will go wrong.
there are none. it will drive on the highway perfectly fine, maybe your gonna have a hard time overtaking tho as acceleration isnt that good at over 120 kmh. I have the 80 hp version on 17" rims (CrossPolo) and can do 140 kmh at around 3700 rpm wich the engine is quite comfortable with. It likes the revs and makes most of its power way above 3000 rpm. dont be afraid to rev it and go with higher rpm instead of full throttle all the time at lower rpms. that will be better for the engine. I once drove around 60 km at around 185-190 kmh (max speed) just fine and reached over 200 kmh downhill. These engines are really bulletproof and if you change oil regularly, it will last way longer than you will drive the car, even if you would do 180 kmh everyday. the only real problem could be the timingbelt, so make sure it has been replaced or if not replace it! otherwise it is a timebomb.
The design of the interior still looks beautiful

Lots of noise at 100 km / h?
This is FSI?
Yes I know. It sounds like the car is going to fall apart. No its just the 1.4 16V. No FSi and no TSi.
What are other cars in polo segment ?
Corsa, fiesta, ...
Corsa, Fiesta, Punto, Clio, i20, Rio, MiTo
Cool!
Some review said that it's not made for highway and it should be used only in the city. What are the risks if we take it for long distance ?
