I watched the whole video twice and didn't see where it was suggested to tap on the high limit but since people had mentioned it in the comments I figured I'd give it a try and it worked. This is a great detailed video. Thanks for saving me a good bit of money.

Awesome video with great instructions! I disconnected the wires for control panel & took that off. Made moving the "bulkhead" easier.
I wacked the fuse - thinking you were crazy, but wow - it worked! Going to buy a replacement fuse anyway as a backup, but it'll work for now. Thanks!

I Had to pause when he corrected himself calling the bulkhead the manifold to comment & salute him 😂😂😂 I said the Bulkhead to myself and kinda thought if I should watch anymore, but that cleanup kept me tuned in bro! Good video, very helpful.

Thank you so much for your input. My LG machine suddenly stopped drying. I checked the filter and saw a bunch of lint buildup-the probable cause. I ordered a few sensors on Amazon, got them delivered next day. Opened up the dryer, ran a continuity test and got no signal on the high limit sensor. Reset the sensor by pressing its button, and got a signal when I ran the continuity test again. Cleaned up the dryer real good, put it back together and was able to get it to dry again. Will probably keep the sensors in case anything fails. Your help was enormous-thanks!

Some of these critters have what is called a thermister. It sits by the blower next to the thermofuse. It is literally a probe looking thing. the continuity on that thing should be around 11K at room termparature. If that critter's range is either open or closed, you have to replace it or you won't have any heat.

be aware if the hi limit tripped, it usually means the thermostat has failed. the thermostat cuts the power at a lower temperature than the Hi limit.

QUESTION: at the 6:10 mark in this video you run continuity tests. My hi-limit and thermostat check out. However, your first check (between yellow and blue leads on the heating element) differs from my result. You get continuity, I get a crackling sound out of my multimeter and a reading around 40 Ohms. Yellow to Red and Blue to Red give me the satisfying beep. I am thinking I need to replace my entire heating element. Any advice you can offer is appreciated.

There are 2 4" plastic hand holes on either side and you can also pull out the exhaust tube to get access and don't have to take the whole thing apart.

@@TexasEdition thanks, I’ve already gone through the entire tear down and rebuild. My model must be slightly different because it didn’t have those holes. My steam is not hooked up since I moved into my new place and now it's having problems. It won't start unless I unplug it and plug it back in. Is it doing this because the steam isn't hooked up? I paid a repairman over a hundred bucks to look at it. He didn't even take it apart to check any thing and did know what was wrong. The he called me the next day to tell me it would be $750 to repair it. Can You help me.
