Check other reviews. They clearly say this is very innovative, focused more on exploration rather than shooting enemies. They do have some new mechanics plus it's first person. But to each his own man, people will never be happy anyway.
Beautiful game marred by lackluster combat and bad ai. This game could have been something special and it shows while playing it from your character feeling like a giant in human areas down to your movements but to many times it stops just short at being great. To the landscape being downright surreal in places. But things like bows being as loud as an antimaterial rifle alerting everyone within a mile where you are to enemies stumbling around in the same back and forth area seeming to have endless bullets to spray the forest in no particular direction. Also so far the story is very by the numbers.
I always wished that this game was online multiplayer because the combat and stealth was just so good. Imagine dropping from a helicopter into the forest as a soldier or shooting from the canopies as a Na'vi. My favorite thing about this game was the combat, and I was sad how little of it there was once I'd finished the game, and I just feel that certain scenarios in multiplayer would give the game so much life. I get that Ubisoft likes their single-player adventures but an online, interactive, Rainbow-Six Siege-like game would allow so many opportunities for players, and the game would probably live longer. (Micro-transactions are also more appealing when the game is multiplayer, as I can't imagine buying a cosmetic in a single-player game)

We built wonders. We made great journeys. We forged epics. You have not. You speak so proudly of the plugs dangling from your skulls, little realizing that they are but strings and you puppets. What little you have accomplished you attribute to the wisdom of your goddess, who is nothing but the voices of your dead echoing for all eternity. She moors you to the past, serving as a leash that keeps you as little better than apes, sad parodies of civilization that lack that special spark to become something more. We have come to your world in search of resources. Whether your actions drive us back or we take what we want and move on, the outcome is the same. We will depart from your wretched planet, leaving you behind. And in a thousand years, you will not have changed from this contact with another world. You will remain in your trees, hunting your prey, communing with your goddess, until your sun burns out and your world dies. And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us."

Seriously why can't Ubisoft focus on a creating a proper memorable story based single player game with no bloat/repetitiveness. Every single game they release is bloated and repetitive with lackluster story, no genuine surprises, nothing unique or memorable.
If ur already going for morning jungle jogs in a game..ur into it.
@6:10 guess the devs forgot that navi bones have naturally occuring kevlar
You knew the final score by the middle of this review, didn't you?
did anyone else think this new generation of gaming was going to look better?
Seriously though, X-ray vision needs to be tied with difficulty level. People who don't want to challenge themselves can play with it on on lower difficulty. People who do want a challenge can crank up the difficulty level and take out the hand holding mechanics.
How about don’t use it then lmao
@@justinwhorton9874 That doesn't really work if the entire game is designed assuming you use the x-ray vision.
man the way the character holds the bow is so confusing to me. The main character is left-handed?
Lost opportunity to not be a 3rd person action adventure.
Wish they game would be in 3rd person. Especially for climbing this would have worked way better.
So everythings gone into visuals, nothing deeper on narrative or characters. Well done Ubisoft they’ve kept it exactly like the films.
2:20 So they "All Look Alive", but now they even "All Sound Alike"... Just wow!
It's Ubisoft. It's Far Cry with Blue people. It's fine. Get it at a sale. 7/10.
Can you ride a eagle ? Climb as high and jump and a reptile bird picks you up? Cab you immerse yourself in a world written by james cameron ? And the soundtrack ? This man didnt even touch on the beautiful soundtrack
Did you just completely ruin a spoiler 3:10?
So, it's really an IGN out of 10...
Lmao 😭😂
Hahahaha
"Spare us your pity, alien. You gush about your connection with nature, your primal wisdom, but what has it brought you?
Where are your marvels of engineering? Your voyages of discovery? Your great insight into the nature of the universe? Even at our basest, when we dressed as you do, dwelt as you do, hunted as you do, lived as you do, we did more than merely survive.
Ubisoft makes gorgeous looking games. Unfortunately, they just utilize the same freaking formula that’s running on fumes. This will easily discount to $30 here in a few months (maybe lower and sooner).
That's definitely the issue. Beautiful world design in their games but starved of creativity when it comes to level design and solid writing.
Maybe try to focus more on gameplay instead of graphics?
@@IskenderCaglarM41B441 That's literally what his comment is doing - looking past the nice graphics and criticising the gameplay.
why is the video in 1080p? And we're back to 7/10 trend.
Love how Chase tells the truth while playing the game. Respect.
Why are the graphics lacking?
Keep in mind that 7 comes from IGN and he compared it to Elden Ring and Horizon - two third person games with very little in common with this one.
Yea, very little in common... Just being superior in terms of open world gameplay in basically every single way
That Nickelback dig at 7:42 had me dead
amazing videos u make, but not having 1440p quality settings makes me want to vomit at the graphics the videos show considering the game actualy looks super sharp and beautifull when u play it.
This should be a third person game
The way he talked about this game made it sound like a sure 6. Why IGN feels obligated to give AAA games 7s is beyond me
Money
Programers: how much bloat can we get away with?
Ubisoft: yes
What's up with this guy's pitch, every review he does the same thing. Mid sentence his pitch goes up, then finishes the sentence bringing it down. Drives me mad
This should have been a 3rd person perspective game
Lol these guys can't serious:
"Game is dull and there's not much to it but it looks nice 7/10"
Even addressed why games get 7/10 so often then literally give that score to a game they clearly are telling us is mediocre.
Ubisoft is truly the king of one of the game ever made.
What does this even mean? 😂
@@Hersonmaya It means this game is really one of the game ever made
Wow you are so funny, funny guy
@@Hersonmaya It means it's truly one of the games
This game should allow me to change the voice of the character.... Instead I'm stuck with the druski version of miles moralles
Thank you for the really sarcastic review, that was really helpful
The Review sounded like the Final score would be a 6/10 Game.
As usual, Ubi's pre- and post-launch gameplay is so different graphically.
Remember when some Ubisoft employees made comments about Elden Ring shortly after it came out when there was a rejection of a map just overloading you with icons and instead showing virtually nothing and inspiring a feeling of discovery? It’s no wonder this game goes against what Zelda or Elden Ring have done because Ubisoft is obsessed with this type of game cause they think it will make them all that $$$
Exactly. They think they got it all figured out since far cry 3 and AC Brotherhood, but now we play games within context - zelda and elden ring exist, and they showed us what can really be achieved with an open world.
Why is it FIRST PERSON Jesus they blew
So you can't play with the Humans and against the Na'vi?
Nope, not in this day in age, everything has to be politically correct.
This review needed a spoiler warning ⚠️
For real...
I'm always excited for your uploads.
Me and the boys already pre ordered. May not be breathtaking but it’s a fun game to play co-op and mess around. Especially if you love the movies!!
100 or 70 dls for that game not worth the money...like u say its just fun...Better waiting like what? 2 months and the game will be at 50% discount like always with UBI...
@gregolokko2816 it's the same with Sony. Their games are mediocre just nice graphics
@@gregolokko2816it may not be worth it for you, but for others it is. Not everyone has the same opinion as you!!
@@maxcaines3568At least Sony's games win GOTY 😂
@DarkWarrior165 that does mean he's wrong
I'm sick and tired of Western AAA developers and publishers playing it safe. Your creating Art, take a f#$king risk.
Honestly I'm at the point where I'm just gonna stop playing any game that even sniffs of AAA budgets.
It really is the Avatar experience. Beautiful world. Puddle deep story. Faithful homage 😂
You had me until the Nickleback jab. What did they ever do to you? That's just bad writing.
