I've been saving this for a rainy day. (and boy what a day this was.) Got a much better handle on UA-cam editor so I may splice some oldies together to pass the time for Percy and Asbestos Part 2, and other things I plan to do. (If you haven't seen some of my older work this is a favorite from summer of 2013)
In addition to making the two parts one video, I only made some slight alterations here and there: Dust, fixed the shot of Victor that broke continuity, and added some credit. It was nice to go through this again. It was a simpler time!
Aaaannd I forgot to credit Thumper. He's played by a Bill Murray lookalike, Dom Aldi.

Can I just say Matt, now that I can write a comment. I really like how duke is handled in this,
This is such a unique story in where Duke is an active participant that isn’t idling in a corner either dozing or making a grumpy remark. This storyline changes things up and shows his method of taking charge. This shows that Duke is alert, keeps his head on a constant swivel and is very strict on the young engines. It may seem harsh however, it’s done to try and keep them safe.
It is so refreshing seeing duke in such an active role in a story. No one really has written him like this and it is fascinating, it makes him more complex than just a wise engine who is proud of his heritage. He’s an engine who is very strict, but does it in a way that does not come off as malicious, but as a traditional Grandfather. definitely a nice contrast to a more relaxed Skarloey.
I’m happy to finally be able to leave a comment on these older videos, I didn’t have an account when growing up as these came out and by the time I finally sat down to rewatch your content to over analyze them, Coppa had strike down. it’s nice to really say this is a well written story and a great take on duke.

I love this episode so much. Btw, Sir Handel's and Duke's dialogue is so hilarious. Sir Handel:"Send me a postcard while I rot here." Duke:"You must be feeling better. You are gradually becoming more unpleasant." Sir Handel: "AH STOW IT GRANPUFF!" Hahahahahahahahaha! I can so relate to these two! I love the banter between them! They are such a family! XD
Finally, the full episode is out! And it's still great quality.

Blunderbuss parts 1 and 2 in season 2 were on one of my favorite episodes. Seeing this combined as one is even more awesome. I'm wondering if "All The World's at Stage" will be next to be combined as one full episode; that is also my favorite episodes.

Mate I'm still confused as in why Bertum is a tank engine and that Duke doesn't like Bertum because he's a outsider but Bertrum was on the Mid'Sodor Railway
One Track Mind Bertram’s an outsider because he was lost for decades longer than Duke, and his personality made it harder to acclimate. Also, he’s a tank engine because Bertram was first released without a tender

One Track Mind in my head duke keeps this information to himself. It may be a reveal later on. In the series, it’s Bertram’s isolation and personality that makes him an outsider to most, even the mid sodor gang in some ways
Not related to the episode but I noticed on the wiki that Stanley and I'm talking about narrow gauge has been designed by turtlesandthomas. Since Stanley shares the same story as Smudger, how are you going to fit him into the series?
