I think I wrote this late 2017 or early 2018. Everything is a blur these days. Also I'm pretty sure all I ate today was an apple and some nilla wafers. Gonna fix that now.

That can be quite a thriller or maybe even the Michael Jackson song thriller I think a mixture of those songs would be quite a great show of entertainment don’t you think ?

Man you did a great job on this episode having friends the main character really felt nice in this story also I love your Customs by the way have you ever thought of doing tutorial videos on how to make them or at least the people who made them for you should make tutorial videos on how to make them so other people can have as much Narrow Gauge Rolling Stock as you do
Really stressed the Thin Controller doesn’t appear in these stories set after Prophecy!! But this was such a nice episode. :)

I think it safe to say that Sir Handel’s rant pretty much sums up the attitude of all who question “trends” in this fandom.
Failed clever comments aside this was brilliant! The visuals were better than ever, the comedy was on par, and the acting was phenomenal. Definitely worth the wait!
Excellent little story, and good use of a very underutilized character. I got a good chuckle out of the bit with Peter Sam.
Also, massive kudos for including Alf's air whistle.
If Bertram comes back in the series, tardisrescue is voicing him, no question

Wow. The Great Western Scot was right. Fred IS gay for Rusty, at least in the beginning.
This was a nice episode. The story was simple, yet enjoyable at the same time. I loved the opening with "I Need a Hero" and Peter Sam's "Break My Stride" scene. Honestly they were perfect. And I could definitely see this being an actual episode of the show. All in all, a nice episode.

Great job once again Matt! You've still got it! I love the sets in this, especially Crovans Gate and Peter Sam's crash and the bridges! Not to mention, the wonderful music by Carson, Mavis M. and the guys! And the singing was a neat added bonus at that with my favorite songs like Holding out for a Hero where it's the epic piano to a season 4 theme (that cracked me up for some reason when it switched like that), and of course Break My Stride. All in all, amazing work as always, and keep it up!
After a brief interlude of being occupied with other things, I can talk about this episode.
It's a really wholesome slice-of-life episode brimming with great cinematography and sets (as usual), great comedy, and a really important life lesson. It's content like this that makes me really appreciate the Skarloey Railway characters more (even if the actual show almost never gives them screen time anymore) and once again I must commend you for giving a nobody character like Fred the spotlight. Coupled with great music and facial animation makes this one of your best of S3.

Matt, you truly were on point with this one. It was so worth the wait especially Rusty's speech. Looks like Edward's got a challenger for monumental talks. Also I just love how you wrote Fred, just brilliant work there.

Fred’s basis, Alf, also has an air whistle. Many small diesels and even some early streetcars and interurban locomotives had them.

Another brilliant episode! Everything about it has an unbreakable stride that Sir Handel can never break.
Great episode as always. The throwback to Chivalry is Dead, one of the greatest chase scenes on UA-cam, was fantastic for keeping continuity and gave a nice little nod to why certain characters end up involved in certain tasks. Love the camera work and the setups for the sheds and Crovan's Gate (like wow, Crovan's Gate is amazing, I'd love to see more stuff like that for other locations at some point). You should definitely go eat something now, but it's a good thing you've had an apple today because you know what they say- an apple a day keeps the annoyed, grumpy and perturbed passengers away.
Aw nuts and bolts I missed the premire. :P Ah well...
I know you've already heard this before but I seriously love your characterization and development of Fred. Joel really nailed down his lazy persona! That, as Pleased Passenger #2 put it, is DEFINITELY my boi. Also, I don't know why but I kinda want to see him interact with Mike now lol.

It reminded me of Confidence by WildNorWester, and everything else is superb: Peter Sam's accident was hilarious, Fred actually taking pride in his work, the sets, etc.

Man, I’m sad I missed the premiere. But wonderful episode, man was it weird to see engine like Fred in the spotlight but he was handled so well! Can’t wait to see more of him!

But seriously, this episode took a pleasantly unexpected turn and tackled a problem many people can and do face regularly, the heart of this episode really shone through.

In all seriousness I watched this video initially due to the algorithm, but darn it I got hooked and continued to watch it! I loved this video, the scenery and the attention to detail! Keep up the beautiful work!
I wholeheartedly repeal what I said about the sets a year ago, coming back to it the sets are great. I think I was just critical as they weren’t one to one recreations of the show, but they are great in there own way! Since then, I’ve realized sets don’t need to be one to one and adding your own flare is great! Fantastic episode Matt!

He's back at it once again with another fantastic episode. Seriously, stellar work on this one. The "Holding Out For A Hero" sequence made for a hilarious opening. This was an enjoyable story about Fred taking pride in his own work and I do hope we get to see more of him in the future. I also loved the post-credits scene with Sir Handel inquiring about the meaning of some of the lyrics to Break My Stride. A nice way to end the episode. Just watching this makes me want to see more narrow gauge episodes in the show again. Perhaps I'll go watch season 4 again and get some tissues ready. Wonderful idea for a premiere too. I would have loved it had you done it for Prophecy Chapter 1 but better late than never I suppose. All in all great first episode of 2019. I should think this episode will go viral so you better get those salamanders ready. steakandcake1 better watch it!

In my Thomas series why Fred used to be lazy is because he was built with a bad engine which often meant he got sick however the thin controller sent Fred to The works to have that problem stopped once and for all and ever since then Fred has been a reliable engine whenever Mr.hugh needs Fred for a job Fred doesn't try to get out of work he just does it he's like right away sir
