Humbly disagree. I need this device in my life. Past 6 months i have been using this, ditched my gaming laptop and gaming rig. I love how i can bring this everywhere. Taking it to work, family outings, and overseas travel on a plane. Watching movies and games at night. Keyboard is super useful and much more practical than other handhelds with cramped keyboards. Its the best.
Agree, basically I need a high performance laptop (destiny 2 55fps) that I basically carry around as a tiny tower to plug in, use outside of an external display would be minimal at best, if it can prevent OLE errors and run a game I have screens.
I have this with 64gb and 2tb storage. For me as an Architect who use some CAD softwares and 3D software. This is absolutely beyond my expectations. The Performance is much better than my previous laptop which is razerblade 15 2019 version. For me , I used this mainly for portability and also for some AAA games! But Man this is absolutely beast in some way. Performance is very good even at 15W . I’ve tried to play Arkham Nights in medium 800p at 15w, it got me around 3hrs playing continuously. What I do really hope this will not break up with me in just few years, of course because of GPD support maybe questionable in some dudes. But time will tell . I will be happy if this will still perform and not broken down the line for the next 4 to 5 years. 😊 portability is my number 1 factor why I bought this.
I love my GPD WinMAX 2 2022 version. Sure, there is games on the phone but this is a soli9d option if you want to play your PC games, browse the web or watch videos or movies on larger screen during bus commute or lay down and play games in bed at home or hotel room when traveling. The antennas suck for wireless compared to other devices I have using the same wireless chipset this one performs worse, the 4G might be diminished by them as well. I originally got the steamdeck LCD but found that text was difficult to read unless I used the magnify function, so I prefer this screen over the steamdeck and Widnows supports more of the games I was playing
Don't know why but I love to use devices you will not see on every corner. For some years I use a 3" inch phone from Unihertz and its great. I use it for music, to navigate and for streaming or hotspot and now for traveling I'd like to have a small laptop too. My Lenovo is 13" but on public transport still not easy to use and the new 14" are even bigger and the feel more heavy. So I think the GPD is perfect as I even can play a game on the go or at home on a bigger screen. Oh and for music playing live I think it will be great too. Good performance and touch for some tweaking of tracks.
Its weird, I've now had rog ally, legion go, steam deck, and a win max 2, and I keep coming back to the win max 2 no matter what, like you I cant really say why, I've only got the 6800u version to but would still rather game on it, jack of all trades, master of none suits it well
Yeah it’s an interesting device. Fun to mess with. The rog ally doesn’t have good ergonomics or buttons, and the steam deck is too weak and requires a lot of tweaking to get epic, Xbox and other windows stuff running on it without dual boot. The win max 2 is literally just a little touch laptop and is super versatile. If the next iteration has a version where the trackpad is down and the keyboard is up (and removes the built in controller) I think I’d like it more. The built in controller is just not good enough to use over a Bluetooth Xbox or switch controller.

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have a ton of cash so once I’m done doing videos on a device I sell it and get the next one. I can say the steam deck has the best ergonomics. Not even close. The ally is ok, but the buttons and d pad are sub par. The win max 2 I would say isn’t terrible ergonomic wise but isn’t great either. The biggest issue is the stick deadzones. Definitely recommend a Bluetooth controller if you wanna play fps games on the win max.
I wanna get this for university and design work, with a bit of video editting software. Love gaming but thatll come after a year or so of studying, as a reward. For my use purposes do you think it would be good? I dont wanna go as large as 12inches
Do you plan on using an external monitor and keyboard? I’d really recommend that for doing any actual work. Otherwise there’s plenty of ryzen 7000 ultra books that have the same igpu and nicer and bigger screens. Hi do u have steam decks or ally ? Would love to see it side by side and u commenting it on the go like this. If possible try holding it by ur hand also to show off its uncomfortableness in ergonomics. Love ur sense of humor !
The gdp is good for handheld gaming, browsing, and anything you can do easily with the touchscreen, but I definitely don’t ever choose to do work on it unless I had to without an external dock/monitor.
@@ancientflames i bought it, it's just too sexy
@@yamgoat2965 How are you finding it for those purposes?
@@AlucardaPapere long story short: its great
thinks to keep in mind: keyboard/trackpad takes a little while to get used to, the screen is smaller and not all apps are optimised for this out of the box
worst thing about it: windows 11 is cursed
best thing: always fast, always portable, amazing design.
personally i love the device and i hate windows.
bought off aliexpress.

with my experience i would definitely buy again/future generations of gpd devices. also re games: the only games that freeze are the ones that were already heaps buggy.
Ryza is awesome, but B2 takes this vid to another level❣ (thanks!)
Other blokes buy rims for much more and dont even see them while driving. This alone is an excuse for buying such a toy.
Can’t argue with that!
What about the gpd win mini?
@@oroville12345 it’s not out yet so no opinion.
I have a desktop with 6600xt and even with that I get issues with Amd Radeon its normal to crash as of the moment
PLEASE TRY RUNNING THE GAME RUST ON IT
I like the 7-inch one better
LMAO AT THE GECs
