Quick question: Is this tabletop showcase a CMON organized/thought out event?
No. It's the brainchild of Rodney Smith, myself, Chaz Marler, Matt Evans, the folks at the Secret Cabal and Rolling Dice and Taking Names. We approached CMON to see if they would be interested, and they accepted. If/when we do it again, it will be with a different publisher.

Ah I think I wasn't clear in my speech... When I said "put this in the suitcase"... I meant "this" as in the job card I was holding and not the 3$ I would be receiving.

yeah Tom Vassel briefly mentioned that it was a good experience many weeks ago so I was seeking opinions. watching the videos etc it looks like a buy for me.
Gotcha. Ya there's more analysis and "review-ish" stuff at the end of Part 3 from my side.
It's funny....I love this format, and have enjoyed all the videos so far, but ironically, I'm having a harder time getting a "feel" for the game....I think I'm going to have to get in a physical play to see what I feel about it, ultimately. I think it may be because this is not a style of game I am a huge fan of, but I really want to like it due to the theme.
What do you like better, this or Sons of Anarchy? I was surprised how good SOA was, I wish this game had the gang wAr mechanic that SOA has. Although I am loving this. Only one two player game played so far.
This... just slightly. I can play it with the family where I can't with Sons. And Sons can kind of bite you with the luck.. so it's more readily playable with the game group. Sons has something special to it though (as does Godfather as well).
I agree, I can't play SOA with my 8 year old but I can play this and I like that this plays 2 players and the 3+ of SOA kept it on my shelf for so long.
I prefer SOA as a better game despite liking the Godfather theme more. Feel this game could have done more with a rich theme and if any game could get down and dirty with adult themes, this is it. Lang-hyped imo
theres an error on the rules side. The rulebook states: you cannot complete jobs or play allies if you dont have a family memeber in front of you. But i may be wrong. please correck me if im mistaken
That's correct. I played it that way.
yup ive cgecked it out. yellow would not go that far ahead because he wouldnt be able to complete thise jobs. you do need a family member to complete a job or play an ally(its in the rulebook at the end of description of those actions). family memeber(circle base) IN FRONT of you, not on the board.
Oh that's where you are mistaken. Sorry was confused earlier. You don't need a family member, just just any figure in front of you to keep doing other actions.
Drive Thru Review no, the rulebook states you need a family member figure for those 2 actions. please check it out because maby polish translation is wrong at that point(portal publishing released pdf rulebook in my native language because they release godfather here in poland)
