  • Gear Review | I am a longtime user or one person tents. They have always been just large enough. However, when ADV Matt recommended this 2P tent that he uses, I thought I should take a look, after all the man knows Motocamping! - Frank

I have no complaints with this budget tent. I don't think I could share this tent with anyone and my riding gear. My sleeping mat takes up half the floor, riding gear goes next to my feet and my dry bag with my clothes and sleep system goes next to my head. I have used in temps ranging from 30 degrees to 90 degrees. With the doors open it vents well. For a budget tent it works, not the lightest, but good enough on the motorcycle.

It looks big enough to fit all those pillows you have to bring.

@@CallMeJazz it is. I am total weak sauce. I have no hardcore bones in my body. Comfort over pain is my game. Cheers.

Definitely having a good quality low dollar tent kind of takes the stress out of damaging it. These tents live a hard life on back of a adv motorcycle!

2 person tent for me! I’m a bigger tent type of person!!!!

The tent is heavy because it's probably made from polyester, the heaviest and hottest material you can make a tent from. The amount of solid wall going up the tent's sides would make for uncomfortable sleeping on a hot, humid night. If you were hot sitting up, you'd be in worse shape laying down on the floor against those walls. While a cheap price may be its calling card, better options for comfort and weight exist for not much more money. I would agree, though, that in early/late shoulder seasons it might be worth the cost for a warmer option.

Checkout Tarptent Moment Tent. Fast pitch, aerodynamic, great ventilation and free-standing. Easy to move when changing wind conditions demand it for max stabilization. See on UA-cam 2019 how to set up video. Great solo hiking/motorcycling tent.

A very thorough review on the Bessport tent Frank, I'd probably opt for the two-person tent just to have the extra room. Looks to be well made for the money.

I have the two person tent. Im smaller but its nice for me. My complaints are I cant get the tent and rain fly back in the bag. The tent does also leak in heavy rain. Not a lot but after a night in thunderstorms it could have done better. Im more of a fair weather camper so for me its fine and I plan on using it again for its third season starting next week.

Will it be as noisy as your current tent. Camping neighbors beware of Frank's relentless noisy tent lol

How long are the tent poles when packed? Doesn't come with a footprint tarp?
