"Iconic horn" also used by the P&W Bullets, Reading Blues, SEPTA Budd and St. Louis Silverliners, Arrow I's, Broad St. Subway, all Boston subway lines, Norrh Shore, South Shore, Roarin' Elgin MU equipment, C&NW Gallery cab cars, did I miss anything? LOL Seriously great video!
The arrows are some of my favorite railcars out there, everything from how their motors sound like, to their horns. Their age does hinder them a bit tho...
Easy way one day to tell apart the former Penn Central to Erie Lackwanna railroad electric lines in Arrow IIIs are their train lengths if 13-17 cars PRR Lines except NJCL LB to Matawan shorter trains Erie Lackwanna electric lines. My first NJ Transit ride was the Arrow III. For NJ Transit why not order stadler Flirt dual modes that way it allows Hackettstown I-78 Exit 24 High Bridge exits 16-18 I-78 Bay Head Parkway exits 89-98 direct trip to New York Penn
I miss the Arrow IIIs when they used to have the twin-arm pantographs prior to around 2011-2012. And, when these trains get replaced by the new Multi-Level electric MUs, I will hate this company even more than I already do. It's bad enough that they replaced the original Comet cars along with many of the original locomotives (especially, the F40PHs and GP40FHs). If you ask me, NJ Transit was much better in the 20th Century than they have been in this century. Signed, a former NJ Transit railfan (now, a hater).
