  • I was gifted a second hand vacuum pump... Time for an upgrade!
    I skipped the cord replacement in this video to save time on the video length. Next week's video will be the cord replacement.

    When you put wet leather in vacuum, does it dry the leather in addition to the forming?

      No. You can see some water getting sucked out of it, but it is still very wet.

    I have very light weight leather ~ from a jacket. Is it possible to wet form it??

      Nope the leather used to make jackets are chrome tanned. The forming leather is vegetable tanned. Each have its particular use and characteristics. Hope this help
