"Ten thousand years from now we can meditate and wonder whether our descendants, because I think they'll still be here, what they will think about us, and let us hope that at least they will give us the benefit of the doubt, that they will believe that we have honestly striven in our day and generation, to preserve for our descendants a decent land to live in and a decent form of government to operate under." Less than 100 years later, you and all of your descendants will be called vile names and considered irredeemably evil on the basis of your skin color. You, as a resident of the past, will somehow be considered a slaveowner, though slavery was abolished years before you were born. All of your great monuments will be systematically torn down and replaced with images of the new gods of this age, while your descendants cheer and hate themselves. The form of government that America created will be attacked from within and without, often by those who have most benefited from it. Even the benefit of the doubt, given to past cultures, will be lost. All of Western history will be measured by the technological and moral standards of the most recent Twitter feed, and found wanting, so it too must be destroyed.
In my opinion, America is flawed, yes it is. but it can get better. the founding fathers were racist but we don’t build statues of them for that, we build them for what they did for our country.
It's both the tyranny of the mob and the morally righteous. They are the people laughing down at the giants below them. Imagine if they had this kind of mindset with math and science. They would do nothing but scoff at people like Euclid, Newton, Archimedes, and Pythagoras because they neither knew what we know today, nor the concepts and revelations they created. They are the kind of people that would laugh at the Romans for creating and using aquaducs instead of metal pipes.
NO WENT JUDGMENT HIT AMERICAN AND SHE FALL FOR GOOD AND BE ATTACK BY RUSSIA AND CHINA MO RUSHMORE WILL DIED ALSO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL FALL

He’s really in South Dakota? Wow that’s awesome. I’ve been to Mount Rushmore many times and it’s very beautiful. It’s amazing to be able to see the other areas not seen by the public.
I want to take a beautiful snowbunny there and go camping... 2023.. Yesss
"Ten thousand years from now we can meditate and wonder whether our descendants, because I think they'll still be here, what they will think about us, and let us hope that at least they will give us the benefit of the doubt, that they will believe that we have honestly striven in our day and generation, to preserve for our descendants a decent land to live in and a decent form of government to operate under."
Less than 100 years later, you and all of your descendants will be called vile names and considered irredeemably evil on the basis of your skin color.
That was an excellent post. Thank you.
NO WENT JUDGMENT HIT AMERICAN AND SHE FALL FOR GOOD AND BE ATTACK BY RUSSIA AND CHINA MO RUSHMORE WILL DIED ALSO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL FALL
Ignorant Racist.

This is the first time I’ve watched them in like 4-5 years and Lincoln has changed a lot I’m not talking about the statue Lincoln
The work that went into creating these is amazing
Atleast until someone tries to tear the whole thing down.
FDR would be rolling in his grave over his own party's hatred for American exceptionalism and its embrace of cancel culture.
People want to get rid of this! Unreal.. this is an amazing piece of history!
The fact that people can make a stone carving of faces almost a hundred years ago better then I can draw a smiley face is sad for me lol
No it's sad how ppl today can't even be this skill
I'm from the Black Hills of South Dakota. They quit doing fireworks because of forest fires. Mt Rushmore is my favorite memorial park of all time
*When I was a child I was forced to work in a German sausage factory.*

I’m Canadian and I know more about the America than Canada
Well good for you! Seriously! That's more than I can say for all the population of the U.S. born 40 yrs ago and after.
Why don't you go back to your own country.
You should be ashamed
You probably know more about America than most Americans.
Blame the Canadian education system for that . im over 50 and we did so much on Canadian history included residential school discussions

Who else wanted them to come outside the eye of one of the statues like Phineus and Ferb
I was looking for one of them to come outside of the eye of Washington or Lincoln, take selfies, and wave to the minions below.
Shoutout to Monument Mythos
That is a fascinating view. I am so glad to see this. I always wanted to know what was inside the secret chamber

Motor servo speed controller that’s it and a battery lol
If you were wondering, there was supposed to be a giant vault inside of Mt. Rushmore that would contain pieces of American history, such as the Declaration Of Indipendence.
not only that, also alot of gold, and chambers of known people, that would be burried there, thats what he was planning to do, but cause of war i thought it couldnt happen
@@brucemourad7390 No just the architect died and the project stopped without him.
The drill marks in the rock show just how much rock must have had to have been removed by the lads to carve them all out.
It's amazing really.
Plus, I would have imagined that they would have put two massive doors on the entrance to the hall of records. Like church doors or similar.
I watched your channel years ago and stumbled on it again today and was completely blown away at how much L has grown. I mean yeah obviously people grow up but still it’s crazy because it seemed like he was just a little teeny tiny kid. Not so teeny tiny anymore. Great job guys!
