you cant open anything down on that end, its a national seashore park......the whole reason that island is special, is theres not a starbucks when you get off the ferry. so no,,,dont try to open a coffee shop. in fact, leave your aspirations on the ferry and just enjoy a slice of untrashed america.... theres a coffee shop in the middle of the island where the blacksmith shop used to be.....
Fair enough...but if a local opened a coffee shop or even Ocracoke Coffee Shop opened a satellite coffee shop.....it would do well. Thats all I'm saying. I live in a beach area as well. Its a delicate balance of tourism vs income from tourism. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment.
You're treading on Waters you have 0 understanding of how unwilling the locals and frequents are, in being completely unwilling to allow corporations or money grab gold rushes, and by no means choosing a battle you will win, not since the days of pirates like Blackhead in the exact location where he lost his head. 😉
Jeez, the line is all the way past Ramp 59, that's the little brown Jeep sign at the 2:05 mark. Okay, I know it's bad from friends who live there, but we were there for 2 weeks the beginning of the month and used Ramp 59 everyday and never saw the line anywhere close to the ramp. Our solution to the crush of people arriving and leaving the island every Sat and Sun? We are buying a small cottage from our friends. If we try to leave and can't we'll just go back home and worry about it later. We're retired.
I'm glad there aren't coffee shops or the typical places to hang out, that's what makes Okracoke special. Great video, thanks for posting.
I can appreciate that for sure. Thank You for the support.
There are! Ocracoke coffee Co. Is fantastic. The real treat is no chain companies, everything is locally owned and operated!
Great video👍 my wife and I we are in love with the island🙃 you should visit the neighbor Portsmouth Island!
Thank You so much. I'll look into Portsmouth for sure.

Other than that, you're pretty rad dude, so enjoy one of the last few places humanity hasn't left it's corporate imprint on.
