I find it hilarious when people spend hundreds to get the lightest possible tent, and then carry a plain old heavy tarp like this to protect that fragile super light floor, negativing that weight advantage. Manufacturers will do this because weight is in easy spec to list while durability is not a number. So they figured out, people will stupidly spend much more for low weight, and then they sell an additional tarp, to these same people for even more cost. It's absurd and silly.

in the intro you are about 5 mins from your car how can you say its not wet at all?

I’m going camping with my son this weekend and temps will be in the low to mid 40s at night. I think what I’ll do is I’ll run it until my son falls asleep and then I’ll stay up for maybe another half hour and then shut it off when we go to bed. Thank you so much for the video.

Hey Mike any update on the racks with the RTT? I’ve been on the fence and looking for a long term review for them. I was worried about the hard top cracking or something with the weight? Have you gone on trails with the tent on? No issues?

How do you pick 4Roses Small over Single? Where I live (PA) Single is under $50

A jeep hardtop can only hold 150 lbs total - that's the published max limit. The Exposed Racks can hold "Designed to hold 2-3 people plus tent. (or vehicle max limit)" ... pay special attention to the part in brackets.

Good stuff, I had hoped to make it up to top of Reddish Knob when I was in WV in September but I ran out of time. Although I was traveling solo and that one section of trail you were on may have been beyond my capabilities. Thanks for sharing!

Great video! We were right across the track from you in the Xterras. I like that your video just focused on what you would see/what to expect instead of corporate shilling like most of the videos. We had more fun just hanging out with other people than in the actual event and I think this year we spent more time in the camping area than in the show. Only one guy in our group of six heard the star spangled banner performance that morning and we all thought he had too much to drink and dreamt it haha.

I've been running a Big Buddy with a 20lb tank in the cold months, in my living room, for the last 15 seasons. I run it on medium (9000 btu's) and it keeps both dining & living room nice in evening when watching TV. Old house with drafty doors & windows.

That rack isnt gonna support that weight gor long. I cant imagine the added weight with 2 adults in it.

May I ask is there a reason why you are not using the Canon print and layout software when you are printing from the Pro-1000 ? I always use it and it gives me many more options such as ICC profiles and the ability to use different makes of paper and I have soft proof option based on the actual printer settings

It would be nice to see if the co2 detector you bought was reliable. Someone tested 30 co2 detects and 40% of them didnt go off in hazardous conditions

My time lapse only records for 4 sec. I set my GoPro outside for 1h. Went and got it watched the replay and it was only 4sec

I run my Mr. heater in my tent all the time when cold, I warm up the tent then put it in pilot, crack a window and always with a carbon monoxide detector, the pilot keeps us (myself and dog) warm enough all night after I ran it on low for about 10 minutes, I have a Gazelle T3 thus not a small tent and this works perfectly for me making it comfortable when temperatures dip into low 30s to upper 20s and of course a good sleeping bag. 1 lbs canister can last me almost 3 nights this way. The one thing is that I will not run it without the carbon monoxide detector.

What roof rack do you have installed. It looks like a no drill, is this correct?
