I think Earnur’s master duelist rule might have more value in the new edition of the game. We know they’re going to spread out the fight values more so we’re likely going to see more heroes with 7+ fight value.
Just getting to this - I like Aranarth, but really just for allying Conveniently with a Dwarf King. Arvedui is kinda squishy, but Aranarth can hide with your archers and cav while Malbeth brings the spears you want for your Dwarves.
Loved this topic because of Ian’s experience with Arnor and Richard’s experience with Angmar (Charles you’re awesome too!). Arnor was desperately in need of some Might and Mobility. They got that. Ian excited about new profiles. Angmar was so dialed in as is, they actually got a rewritten profile. Then we had to see if Richard found any of the new profiles worthy of cracking this optimized Angmar list. Which I don’t think they do. Everything is a “yeah, that’s cool, but I’m never taking it over this” kinda vibe. Now when we get into Legion talks, that can be cool. Forces players into picking their Angmar play style and leaning into mastering it with a few minor buffs. Cheers!
I personally feel like Gulavhar is precisely the kind of of unit that will get legended in the new edition, so i think all Angmar additions should be attempted to be understood in that context. Of course it is speculation of the highest order, but in a world without Gully trolls and similar hitters have a much more obvious spot in the faction.
They did just bring him back to the web store, however. So, I don't think he'll go. Things that aren't sold anymore are going to legend, in my opinion. (like Kardush and Morgul Stalkers)
