    I love you ladies... :)
    May I make an advisory comment?
    Margarine is terrible... I do recommend you research it instead of taking my words as the whole truth, but it was not initially created as a food item... They started by feeding it to geese to fatten them up, but they found that it was killing the geese. they wanted to get back the time and money they put into the research, so they created a butter flavor and marketed it to us...
    Real butter is much more healthy than margarine...
    Ok...
    off my soap box. :)

    .We have just had your potato Kugel for dinner. The portion that supposed to last for two days was gone in one go 😁. Just to let you know that word "Kluski" means noodles in Polish. It describes rather home made, sort of irregular pieces of boiled dough than commercial ones. Thank you for delicious recipes.

    for those of us who live in israel--are any wide noodles a good replacement for kluski, as they are not found here? also, why bother melting the margarine? why not just put it in the very hot noodles which will melt it? also, there are at least two brands of msg free onion soup mix here--no need to make your own, although it would be healthier i'm sure anyway.

    • @imimim1
      @imimim1 8 років тому

      +Jamie Geller i found at least two brands in our health food store (duvdevan). the one i got is called metabel, but homemade would definitely be preferred for so many reasons--will ck your recipe to see if ican do that. best to you.

      I was going to ask this too! Would the אטריות that you find in Israel also work? I know they have a different texture, but I really want to make this. I grew up eating in my moms house as well and was so excited to see you have a recipe up for it

    • @jamiegeller
      @jamiegeller  8 років тому

      Any noodles should work, it will all just change the texture. You can try under baking a bit for more of a custardy consistency if the noodles are less firm.

    One day your glass Pyrex dish is going to explode! You never know when it is going to happen. Pyrex should be set on a heat pad,if the dish is hot and touches cold,such as counter, it can explode without notice! Just telling you people for your safety, I'm seventy three years old, and it had happen even to me a couple of times. I didn't learn the first time, but I did learn the second time,it blew up Thanksgiving day right on our table,

    nothing particularly jewish about this pudding other than it's totally lacking in any flavor other than "bland"
    the spinach is wasted in this recipe and the seasoning is random and without any benefit to the dish
    using soy milk in lieu of a thicker blend doesn't hurt, but it guarantees that the entire dish lacs any distinctive taste
