      I’m glad they’re doing awesome for you and I do remember you! I raised those lil squirts up since they were babies! I actually am planning on making another bioactive build for my other normal red eyes that I still have! As my skills have gotten better since this old video!

    it’s actually better to paint the background black then go through with lighter colors, helps with shadows and highlights, also a little green would give a mossy look 🙂

    I set up my first vivarium with the help of your videos. It's been over a month now and today I noticed extra small white mites. I have 5 phyllobates vittatus in the tank. What can I do?

      I’m glad to hear that I like the light it grows my plants pretty well. I believe I have a couple options of recommendation in the description. From my experience the nicrew is my go out of the two now from Amazon. Thanks for watching

    What lighting would you suggest for this sort of set up? I’m starting to build my red eyed tree frog habitat but my vivarium will be in a room with minimal lighting, I want the frogs and plants to thrive. Also how would you suggest heating this habitat? My home will not be warm enough to keep the habitat at proper temperature throughout the day.

    • @mightymorphingreptiles

      I'd Recommend this lighting right is what I use
      24/7 Hygger Led Light

      You could try to use a heat lamp with a 29 watt bulb but make sure to monitor your temps

  • @emmajofficial

    Hi thank you for this informative video. Do the frogs need a heat lamp or mat? Or a UVB lamp? I’m in the U.K. TIA

    • @mightymorphingreptiles
      @mightymorphingreptiles  2 роки тому

      I don’t use a uvb as it isn’t needed but can be beneficial! I do use a heat lamp with very low wattage like 29 watts with a timer on it. As I only have it on for probably 4ish hours a day.

    I have two RETFs and am ready to switch to bioactive. I’m worried about them finding their food. Do you feed crickets in yours or something else?

    Can I use this exact setup for a black eyed tree frog or does it need to be different? Also does the tank need to be at a certain humidity?

    Hey love the channel, I've literally just found you today and subscribed 😀 however I need to say that philodendron and monstera are two different types of plant what you have there is a monstera, not sure what kinda but for sure a monstera.

    I love them, can someone keep 10 pieces of Red eyed frog in a big terrarium ?

    • @mightymorphingreptiles
      @mightymorphingreptiles  2 роки тому +1

      I love them too! Typical rule of thumb for frogs is 1 frog per 10 gallons. So maybe 100 gallon enclosure should do!

  • @xxdeckz5772

    Question, I am currently in process of making a bio active terrarium for my tree frogs but for the clean up crew I was told springtails and other super small bugs will get out of the enclosure? Wasn’t sure if you’ve had that and if you have what did you do?

    • @mightymorphingreptiles
      @mightymorphingreptiles  2 роки тому +2

      I have never had any of my microfauna escape, and even if they did they would most certainly die off rather quickly. Springtails and isopods need a good amount of humidity to survive. Hope that was helpful!

    What about the bacteria?

    • @mightymorphingreptiles
      @mightymorphingreptiles  2 роки тому +3

      I’m not having bacteria problems at all at this time. However recent studies have shown that more naturalistic vivariums such as bioactive creates beneficial bacteria for tree frogs and helps fight off bad bacteria.
