Thank u so much when my doctor talk to me he said it’s gonna take at least a couple months or more before I can even go back to work. I use my hands for signing and I can’t take off three months of work for this anyway thank you so much for your videos. They’ve been wonderful and it’s been great. Listen to you. God bless you.
I am still not comfortable taking risk. I am still doing what I did when the pandemic started (wearing my masks, social distancing as much as possible, etc.). I just do not want to get Covid and risk having long term effects.
My local Covid wastewater report is looking good: "The weekly average viral RNA load entering the Metro Plant remains at a very low level, unchanged from last week." According to an NYT article, this fall it will be recommended that people get Covid (XBB.1.5), RSV, and flu vaccines.
I can so relate to everything you’re saying!!! I started going maskless in March. Got Covid a month and a half into lessening mitigations. I had an unpleasant but mild case. The mental unpacking has been really hard but super important and I’m appreciating connecting with people again and not constantly living in fear. Covid has been such a scary thing and avoidance was everything for 3 years. It’s been a very complicated re-entry. Happy to hear you’re on the mend. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you. It's been so interesting. Sometimes I get a comment (like yours) from someone who had started this journey before me, and the comment articulates my sentiments better than I do. Be well
What masks do you use on a daily basis? Any recommendations on a quality N95 or KN95 mask for someone who is immune compromised and trying to stay safe
"Post-infection reactive airway" Wow, now I know it is a thing and I have a name for my experiences. Thankfully, I did not develop such symptoms after my Covid illness in January.
When do you plan on getting boosted again? I got boosted in January because unfortunately I needed to go to the dentist a lot. Now it is almost June and I'm getting worried about how much immunity I have. I think that I want to get an antibody test to find out once and for all if I've ever had covid. I'm wondering how that will make me feel after I find out the results. A few times I wasn't feeling great I tested and it was negative over the past three years. Considering what you have to go through almost every time you have a cold you are really brave to have taken this step especially with covid
We did not have the same experience as Sandy we went on vacation to London England back over a week do t think we got sick and I don’t think we have had COVID (my wife and I) our daughter had it last December when we came back from Barbados but we did not get it and she went everywhere we went in Barbados and in that vacation we masked except on the beach and outdoors or when in a restaurant

Understandable. It's really hard

I fully agree. It was scary for me too, when I started nearly one year ago to go back to another normal step by step.
Thank you so much for the update, Sandy! You explained those psychological ramifications so well! I did something else maskless yesterday 🎉
Well-said. Kudos to you for being so honest about the emotional issues.
Thank you so much. ❤️ Be well

I'm not sure yet when I'll boost, but I'm thinking about a year. I am going to check and monitor my antibodies though. Be well.
Do you need a prescription from a doctor to get your antibodies tested if not how do you proceed
@@fiji16g8 labcorp offers a spike protein antibody test that u can purchase yourself. A nucleocapsid test requires a prescription
