Most people don't know this but you really got some balls for doing this, not just for going down to such places alone but to go down there in the first place, after watching your videos I got too excited to do it by myself, well..in my first dive i was quite startled when I saw the coral reef, huge red heads and strings, dark deep cracks and which feels like its sucking you down, it was pretty scary experience for a first timer that I had go out of the water to get my balls together, i got to tell you this now I see your videos with a whole new perspective, very nice man, and pleeeeeeaaase keep doing what you're doing.
Great to see another video of you mate, i've been using your tips and now i can hold my breath underwater for around 1:20. Thanks a lot and keep coming those amazing videos.
Fantastic immersive five mins top video big thanks buddy from someone who isnt able to dive themselves for bringing it so vividly to life. Huge thumbs up keep them coming matey
Great vid, I really wish there were some intact wrecks like that around here... There is the Hellopes in the bay I live in but that is in about 90 feet of water, far too deep for me...
I dived the antipolis in 2000. I was visiting my uncle Andrew who was a chief engineer in the South African harbour service. It’s not a difficult dive as its not deep. I didn’t enter the wreck itself but I did swim under the hull. There is or was at that time a narrow gap under the hull which a fairly slim diver can get through, with tank rubbing the underside of the hull, chest rubbing the seabed and shoulders squeezing between the rocks. Don’t try it if your fat though! The funny thing about this was I got back to my uncle Andrew’s house in Cape Town and recounted the dive. He shocked me by saying, “yup I got a line on it but it broke”. He was the CE of the Cape Town tug which tried to save it in that winter storm of ‘77. Not free diving story sorry but you wouldn’t survive trying to do this freediving
***** It's unmistakeable mostly, but I couldn't be 100% sure until I heard one I knew well enough :) Used to play tunes like these almost a decade ago.. haha ouch :|
***** Okay! Maybe i´ll visit it in the future... I´m very happy you answered my comment! Please subscribe to my new channel where i will be uploading my freediving videos!!
Really nice video :) i would really like to freedive like that but it would be challenge to dive 10 meters and come back alive :D My problem is that i cannot relax underwater... My record is 30m straight line without any equiptments
I really want to get into free diving. How do you work out / analyse your route through wrecks etc and know you have enough time? Are there ever occasions where you think you might have misjudged it and then have to rush back to the surface? Great videos, thanks!
Thanks for the repsonse. I once got stuck trying to crawl through a really narrow space whilst caving, and somebody in my group had to pull me through by my arms. Even though I was completely safe, it was a horrible feeling, and it'd obviously be so much worse - and dangerous - underwater. With relatively tight gaps like in the video, I think I'd always be scared of misjudging it and getting stuck somehow, but I suppose judgment comes with practice and experience. Not much room for error though - one mistake, and that could be it! I'm hoping to do a freediving course here in the UK in the summer, and I'm really enjoying your videos. Cheers mate!
Yo man, how are you shooting this? it seems you eeither have a massive GoPole, or you are shooting on superview or something? like at 4:19, you seem really small in the shot. i wanna replicate.
It's not visible from the surface looking down. Next to the big hulk of ship - you need swim down 5-6meters first , then look towards the ship facing the beach, and then swim into the darkness. Come dive it with me in Feb 2018
Sick bud, will deff come join for a dive. Ive got some unfinished business with the Antipolis, need to get in there. Few spots i wanna show you too, some awesome secret caves :)
btw, i got a little bit more footage here. Just note in the first few seconds how I'm swimming in horizontally, not from the top. ua-cam.com/video/17JYyHmGINg/v-deo.html
Hey! I dived this wreck three times in the last two days and we couldn't find the entry point at all. Is this on the main wreck right off shore or the boiler room, which is rather far off the shore?
this video is awesome but the reason about not to dive alone is,here were i live every year someone dies because he dive alone i'm a diver and i know everything about this sport and believe me dive alone its the first rule of what not to do.
+Freediver HD Actually the Indian Ocean you find a long way up the east coast at Cape Agulhas ,a long way from Cape Town.I have swum in Scotland and the temp is about the same. The Atlantic is cold around Cape Towns shores because of the very deep water relatively close to the shore.

Those tight spaces gave me chills! This dive took courage and good planning!
Thanks for keeping videos going despite the cold!

Great video. Im making my own go pole from pvc for when i dive. What length do you usually extend your pole when diving? Thanks
long-awaited great video Dean, ...makes me feel better during the war threat in Ukraine :-( very close to my country
Damn, I want to go back to Eilat and dive to that missile ship 22-24m below the surface.
I finished the course a month ago and reached -15m.
***** What kind of ship? Do you have any more info? I`m planning to go there in October.
cool man ! Are you dive alone ??? i dint see your buddy
Really nice video :) i would really like to freedive like that but it would be challenge to dive 10 meters and come back alive :D
My problem is that i cannot relax underwater... My record is 30m straight line without any equiptments

May you tell us what equipment do you use? You have awesome vids, keep up good work.
Hes using an aqualung sphera mask i think
Surprised at how little life there is inside.
What watch are you using?
I really want to get into free diving. How do you work out / analyse your route through wrecks etc and know you have enough time? Are there ever occasions where you think you might have misjudged it and then have to rush back to the surface?

***** lol... bad eyesight :3
Унижает дайверов на баллонах :-)
かっこいいね!
This might be quite dangerous. Be careful!
Do u dive alone?
Seriously can't see the Batman hoodie, need to work on that!
how long have you been free diving for
What flashlight are you using bud?
Did you dive with a buddy in this video? How does he track you? Thanks!
***** Thanks man!
how many time take to do breath up between dives ?
ho do you equalize the pressure in your ears cause with you it seems effortlessly. with me i have to push into my nose really hard.
Wow
Yo man, how are you shooting this? it seems you eeither have a massive GoPole, or you are shooting on superview or something? like at 4:19, you seem really small in the shot. i wanna replicate.
Yeah, this video was shot with 1080p30 superview mode on a Hero3+. This is the only video on my channel shot with superview.
Yeah the warp is a quite hectic, but for those selfie shots its sick. Thanks
супер красивое фри.
what filter/lens you using mate? cheers
***** So you use a Hero 3+? Good to know. I just ordered one. I'll use it freediving in Cyprus in June.
+freediver HD why if i dive my body is not straight???
Did you dive alone?
***** Thanks for reply. I was a bit confused about it.
Adam Novak it means his buddy is on the surface while he's down at the bottom and they take turns
Where's your dive buddy?
what snorkel set are you using?
mask is aqualung sphera. The snorkel is no-name brand.
Never dive into a wreck alone!!!
***** Hey :)
I haven't seen him in the video. It's ok then.
Man, how are you avoiding the men in grey suits?
bro. I for the second time tried to penetrate the antipolis, where in the hell is the entry point?!

oo sorry i was worry about because i did not see anyone there dive with you, anyway remember dive safe and respect the sea..
first
mate that's not even cold. you live in SOUTH AFRICA, you don't know what cold water is.
Declan Jones Cape town got 2 oceans, indian and atlantic.... the atlantic is freezing... 8 dgrees was pretty cold..
I suppose it depends what your used to, I live along the North Atlantic coast on Scotland.
how cold is that?
+STE4LTHKILL3R hahah us capetonians are used to cold but not THAT cold.

You waste so much oxygen holding that camera. Why not mount it on your head, like a GoPro camera?
Yeahh i wass waiting so so long for a new video amazing i love your videos
